As the title says, Liveuamap in its current state is HORRIBLE. Constantly gets stuck when pinching to zoom so that if you try to move the map it just zooms in and out even without continuing to pinch. The news feed is constantly behind whats on the website, sometimes taking up to 12 hours to update. The ads are absolutely intrusive but thats to be expected these days and trying to manually refresh the news feed never works. I have to close Liveuamap completely and restart it to get the news feed to update. I really wish Liveuamap worked because I enjoy the flow of information provided as well as the interactive map. One of my favorite websites to check for information on conflicts in the world but Liveuamap deserves 0 stars. Maybe if they spent more time working on functionality and QA testing their own app instead of trying to get you to toss 3 bucks their way to get rid of ads Liveuamap would actually be functional.

As an American, researching the Syrian Civil War out of my own interest over the past half-year, this has been my best and most reliable source of information thus far. Most information provided comes directly from primary sources, rather than fabricated stories made to fit the ((agenda)) of Western media. I’d like to thank the creators of this platform for allowing me to better see what’s truly going on in this world.

I downloaded this to cast/airplay the live map regarding the current situation. Before I started casting, I was shown an ad for a shooting game. I was a little surprised at the subject matter and even thought “Hey making an app isn’t cheap, maybe they want a buck to disable ads”. Nope. No option to pay to remove them. I’m not sure who is profiting off of this, but shame on them for profiting off war and other human rights violations/humanitarian crises.

Don’t let them profit. Avoid Liveuamap entirely.

Liveuamap used to be REALLY good. But over the last year, the developers have stopped working on it for whatever reason. It has many app-breaking issues, a ton of adds, and the premium version doesn’t actually work(so don’t buy it). It’s so sad because I used to use Liveuamap every single day, but I’m tired of dealing with all of its issues now. Truly a sad state for this once great app to be in.

The information on LiveUAMaps is good, but Liveuamap itself is very bad.

It freezes often, mine defaults to Ukraine every time I close and reopen it, and those are just a few of the nagging issues.

The developers haven’t fixed any bugs or updated Liveuamap in two years. And that’s frustrating when you’re paying a monthly subscription to them.

Obviously this is a newer app, but please double down on development and reporting. This is a vital app and I believe the UX could be a bit better. I have subscribed and looking forward to supporting during this critical time

I mean yeah it works. But recently I haven’t been able to move around on the map and zoom it to specific areas. I have to tap on only the icons and use the zoom button to zoom in. Sometimes I’m trying to find the name of a town or village and I can’t even get over to that side of the map. Liveuamap used to be amazing I hope they can fix it soon!!

I love this app. I’ve been using it since early 2016. But, there’s several bugs in th current version:

Comment section will glitch out frequently which will disable your ability to scroll freely. Pressing on anyone’s disqus profile will make your app stuck in disqus unless you restart.

Map layers sometimes just don’t load.

Skynews Arabia and Rojava mews have been Putting fake news on syria and libya , i would love Liveuamap if it had like some staff that reviewed news posts to make sure that it is true and not propaganda

I love this app. I have used it for 2-3 years now. Easily better than the others for being the most up to date.

I love Liveuamap. I love everything you do. Any chance you could make it possible to get notifications from multiple regions? Can’t be too hard to do huh?

I would pay your $2/month sub easily, but now I am stuck with this new update. The subscribe button doesn’t work so I am stuck with the lite version and I can only see limited # of updates per region. This tool has essentially become useless for the first time since I started using it at the Ukrainian crisis.

Liveuamap used to work well. I could easily see what’s going on in different parts of the world. Now, the apps says that it can’t connect to the servers, takes forever to load. Loads an add but doesn’t load new information. I haven’t been able to load any information for at least a day, and counting.

This is a really cool app and the idea is really great. But Liveuamap is so unbearable to use because it never refreshes, and ads pop up every 40 seconds. Not to mention you will be notified of news then click to read the full thing and it’s will not load

Liveuamap has issues with pinch zooming sometimes, only restarting it helps.
I have seen how It gets clipboard content on start without my request.
A lot of advertisements.
The content itself is updated well and interesting.

Worked for the first day. Hasn't been able to connect to it's sever for past couple days, but notifications still come in

Used to be a great app. In some cases it still is, but for some reason Liveuamap reset itself and I lost my subscription?!

I use Liveuamap so much I feel I cannot live without it. A must have for anyone interested in global conflicts, especially Syria and the Middle East in general.

It’s good for some limited situational awareness. I subscribed in order to gain access to some of the combined regions like the Middle East but was never granted access. Overall - the free version is about the extent of what you’ll get out of Liveuamap and not worth paying for.

Despite some bugs it's a great service.

Love the interactive map feature, but the global News feed is what keeps me using Liveuamap. this app was built to fight fake news from Russia over the War in Donbass. Unlike RT news this app takes news feeds from all kinds of independent veritable sources. It was founded to fight Fake News. It covers all the major conflicts: Ukraine, Syria, ISPS, Houston Flooding or whatever is topical at the moment based on Twitter activity.

I have used Liveuamap for more than 2 years now, and it was by far my favorite app. I’m very disappointed that this app decided to make ads pop up every 30 seconds, while downgrading Liveuamap itself by removing several features including the Google Earth view option. Not to mention the huge ad banner across the bottom of the screen which was never there before. I’m sad to say that I am deleting Liveuamap since it was my favorite for many years. What a shame this app team, seems like you’ve ruined your app with your own greed.

Liveuamap used to be my favorite news and information platform, but taking away the world region and the new advertising made me delete it off my phone. $2.00 a month is too much, and your offer looks like spam, so I don’t know what will happen if I click it.

The ads at the bottom are fine, but the interruptive full page ads every minute is just too much! It is all I can do NOT to throw my device across the room. Why did you have to ruin something good?

Uninstalled it because of ads that literally force you to interact with it or else it stays on said ad forever, pathetic, the devs rewened Liveuamap with their own greed, a bunch of sellouts and contrary to some of the other comments are truly not objective in their presentation of events on the ground

I don’t mind ads, but having full page ads pop up in my face every few seconds is super annoying. So greedy and so disappointed.
