A load of crap app

If an employer asks you to do this before that employer had your initial, or second interview you should rethink working for them. Run the opposite way from them.
After I completed filling out my application for a prospective employer I was lead to pymetrics by that company’s adamant recommendation.
There were twelve exercises to do to supposedly assess my compatibility with that prospective employer. The first round was giving me a virtual $10 which I was to play with another applicant online. A transfer would be made of that funds. I stopped there and asked myself, “was I being hacked?” After that I deleted pymetrics because it started to feel ominous to me having that in my phone.

Smh this can't be the future

I worked this job for 2 years before I moved away. When I moved back after a year they have this PYMETRIC game they want you to play to work again. Now they say I, "don't qualify" for the same job? I've done this job for 2 years and got employee of the month, EVERY MONTH! How can this "game test" deny me a job I've already done and excelled at? What a joke

Trash

The most garbage system I have ever used. I couldn’t get past the “Privacy Notice” page because there was absolutely no link to get past it. It wouldn’t even let me login. pymetrics makes no sense. Their website is even worse. All I’m trying to do is apply for a UPS job but this this app system is making that the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had applying for a job. Way to go this app!! You turned a simple process into one that’s literally impossible to complete!

What the heck?

I had to use pymetrics to apply for a job in my area. One of the games was literally just to tap on my phone screen as many times as I could in 60 seconds. At the end I was told I was not a good fit for the company and I’d have to wait 1 year to reapply. I guess I just didn’t tap fast enough. 1 star for this and I think it’s probably for the best that I didn’t get farther in the application process. I feel like this is some sort of weird government experiment

Nope

Saw a review stating basically how it’s an embarrassment that a company would use pymetrics to find employees and that the real test is how determined are candidates to keep trying to get pymetrics to work in order to apply for a job. Couldn’t have said it better myself. This glitched several times when I tried to take it. Then it stopped working entirely so I got too mad and called it quits for that job. No one should use this to seek out employees…you’ll never find them.

Pymetrics

Any. Business. Using this app. To. Hire people are not only throwing your money away. . Your wasting valuable time on people. , that. App don’t work correctly. People. Have busy lives. . They want to get a better job. filling a job application. Should be filling out questions about the person and the job. Make the process as easy as possible Life is hard and complicated enough. All ready. Thank. You. Disappointed an frustrated job seeker for UPS. 11 pm. - 4 am Rhode Island

Takes WAY more data than an “assessment”

Pay VERY close attention to the type and amount of data pymetrics is going to pull off your device. Read every line. Spoiler alert: if you turn off all the things pulling your personal and private data, it won’t let you continue. What kind of company would want to link their reputation with this kind of data mine right out of the gate?

Pseudoscientific garbage

I can’t believe that taping your phone screen as fast as possible could possibly translate to any measure of skill or personal character. Half the tests just measure knee-jerk reflexes. Throw in a couple pattern-recognition and number sequence problems to make it feel a little more legitimate, and suddenly they build a “profile” for you, like a mix between a Myers-Briggs test and an IQ test, both of which are also pseudoscience.
Dumb garbage.

Account Access

I have been trying to access my account for about an hour now. The password reset has not sent me an email that I have requested for multiple times and things have not been moving in a timely manner for someone attempting to use this for a job application.

Issues

The first time I used pymetrics it worked great, now it won’t load at all. Very poor system

Strong analytical test with room for racial improvements

This is a great test for determining personalities and work ethics. However, some task lack of consideration of other culture background. The questions do not reflect racial diversity and makes me wonder if the creators of the test were diverse. I think that there some bias interwoven into this test that can be easily addressed and updated. Yet, it is very well done.

Engaging and Novel

I've never come across anything quite like this app and I'm really intrigued at the feedback I've received. I learned things about myself I had never really thought about but actually make a lot of sense!

Fun and easy to use!

Learned something new about myself! Was able to highlight my most important and position specific traits by using this app’ data in an interview process.

Excellent profiling features

Playing these neuroscience games will actually give you trait assessments and results. This is a no brainer, resumes cannot directly measure personality traits. For hiring managers, I truly believe this would be a great tool in supplement with a resume to use for the hiring decision!!

NewHire18

Amazing! I was required to download and complete for a job application– didn’t know anything about it and it’s genius! You play 12 games (quite fun) and it tells you about your different traits...it’s so spot on. Trust me and try it out!!

Enjoyed the games and learned about my traits

Interesting 12 games. Didn't take too long. Was able to get a trait report after playing and it helps me to understand myself better for career choices

Helped me find a job I didn’t even know I was qualified for

Certainly skeptical at first, but the friendly usability and quick turnaround of results prompted me to find a job I never knew I was interested in. They’re just games but I couldn’t be more greatful

Great challenge

WOW!!! This quiz, game, evaluation, whatever it is, is such a brain tester for sure. The key isn’t really to think outside of the box (but it can be), but it to not let your mind think that you are limited to resources. Think of the quickest things that you have without pen and paper, or typing it, or other sources than what you already have NATURALLY! I love it

Finally someone is doing it right!!!

Just finished the games. Really cool stuff. Went to their website to learn more about the science behind it and i found it fascinating! Games went by so fast and i got this cool doc at the end that told me what they were measuring. Had no idea I learn best in “low risk situations” but that makes total sense. It finally feels like this whole process cares about me as the candidate.

If a job wants you to download this app, consider applying to other jobs

It forces you to play 45 minutes of games and then doesn’t tell you why you didn’t get a call back or what relevance the games had to the job you would be doing.

Completely ridiculous and wrong.

Cannot log in

I can log in to this app via browser on my phone, but whenever I try to sign into pymetrics , it takes me to the Sign Up page. If I fill in my information and click Sign Up, it tells me that my email already exists in the system. I cannot play the games via browser on my phone AND cannot log in on pymetrics .

Damaged phone

While I’m sure there is some method behind the madness in the games on pymetrics I wish they could create games that measure the same components without damaging my phone. The aggressive and fast tapping these games require left permanent screen damage to my iPhone.

What a mess

pymetrics has problems all around, I’ve tried so many things just to sign in and it has too many issues trying to send me a verification email. It’s embarrassing to think that a company would use this format to see who they want their employees to be. I think the test here is to see if the employee is willing enough to go through so much time and effort to actually get the job they applied for. If you are able to make this work then it shows you are very persistent to work on a piece of junk until it’ll hopefully work. Now excuse me while I make another application because pymetrics won’t let me sign in anymore to submit my application.

Amazing!

The games were fun and I learned a lot about my own traits! I didn’t end up getting the job, but pymetrics matched me up with other job opportunities — thank you!

Pretty cool way to apply to a job

Thought this was fun and felt like it showed off more of how I think than my resume probably does

Pretty Accurate

I’d love to be able to share this with my professional networking platforms.

Great assessment for job application!

Fun games, not intimidating. I liked learning more about myself too.
