Valpak 3D Reviews

After the last review being almost a year ago, I decided to give the developers a chance so I downloaded. Same issues exist one year later. When envelope was scanned as instructed, little dots of light come up then shaky 3D image of #alonetogether hashtag pops up along with a tiny bit of covid info that we have already gotten, presented better through thousands of television commercials. I tried to see coupons. Absolutely nothing. Waste of time and phone memory space. I get it when developers are working and trying to improve on an app. I’m pretty patient. But when the same issues exist a year later, it tells me that someone is just harvesting info for sale. Deleting now.

I read the reviews and saw a review posted from four years ago that said that this was the most pointless app ever. That you point your camera at the envelope and it never tells you anything except a stupid video. That Valpak3D does absolutely nothing else. It’s still true. Terrible.

Wake me up when you fix it. Please see the view above this for details, but Valpak3D is really very poor, and a waste of time.I removed it from my phone about two minutes after I used it.

Don’t bother. Doesn’t work. Ask anyone who’s tried using Valpak3D. Not one person has gotten Valpak3D to work. Perhaps the only reason it exists is to mine your data and location.

I think that valpack should be worries about some privacy infringement lawsuits, as when I held my phone over the $100 (as indicated) for awhile after the scan was completed, I started seeing snippets of others peoples camera feeds... today it was a ladies fingers, her ring clearly visible. And last time I tried it, it was clearly someone’s lap, with the envelope showing in the lap. Now I’m worried about my privacy because I saw it scanning my legs and couch as I tried to scan the envelope. Not cool!!! Additionally, it doesn’t say if you even won or lost!!’ Just some stupid ad for Valpack. If anyone else has had the weird problem of seeing other people in their scans we should consider a class action. I want my $100 at very least. DO NOT DOWNLOAD! Horrible!!

Literally all Valpak3D does is scan your open envelope and play a video telling you to look inside your Valpak envelope for a $100 paper check. You do not need Valpak3D for anything unless you really enjoy wasting your phone’s space and your own time.

I followed the directions on the envelope and it kept glitching. Finally got it to work and it was just a short video that said the same thing in the envelope. The 3D scan didn’t do anything. The instructions for that is unclear. Will most likely delete this, so called, app.

I scanned envelope (similar to scanning a barcode) - you have to hold your phone still while the video plays.. after the video is over... NOTHING. It doesn’t tell you if you are an instant winner or not. Just nothing. If you scan envelope again you get to just watch the video again. Still nothing.

I use coupons from the Valpak. When I saw I could win $100, I started looking on how to win it. Like the other review said, there isn’t anything to scan. Just a bunch a pretty circles popping up. Cannot find out what to scan to win. Bursted my bubble of going out for a prime rib dinner with my honey.

There’s no medication of where exactly to scan so you just get little dots as you point it at the words. Once you finally find the “sweet spot” it sparkles blue lights and then gives you a glitchy video and a “3D” (that’s being generous) image of a flier advertising ValPack. What a joke.

Little to no info on how to scan, what to scan, how will I find out if I am a winner, if I was an advertiser and knew my fees were going to pay developers to write and program tripe like this waste of time I would be most definitely Very Unhappy! The other reviews aren’t lying, this feels like a waste of time!!!

I don’t understand why Valpak3D hasn’t been updated since 2015 yet it’s 2020 and I am receiving mail that directs me to download this “app”. It’s unclear what this company is about ALREADY and this installation is definitely off-putting. I will not ever condone or do business with this company as I don’t feel as if I can trust it. Be sure to read the fine print carefully if you do decide to use Valpak for anything!

App seemingly is made for sole purpose of being added to your phone, allowing access to your location and camera in the hopes you forget about it and it can track you around for eternity. Doesn’t scan envelope just wastes a minute of your time. DO NOT DOWNLOAD - will be flagging Valpak3D to Apple in hopes they come down on developers for this absurd of a data mining scheme.

So you’re supposed to scan the envelope to hear from past winners I guess. You have to hold it in place for a few seconds to get the video to start. I did this then moved slightly thinking the video would keep playing but it didn’t. Then I held it up again and it started playing the sound, then on top of that sound was a second playing of the same sound, and the screen started going nuts. I deleted within 3 minutes of downloading Valpak3D.

The envelope is deceiving. There is an asterisk after it says ‘$100 could be in this envelope.’ Follow the asterisk to small type on the front where it says ‘Checks are randomly inserted. 1 in 50,000 envelopes has $100 check.’
It explains on the back of the envelope how to download Valpak3D to hear from the winners so you know it’s real. It never said download Valpak3D to see if you’re a winner.
Pointless app and add the fact that the latest version is from two years ago.

I don’t get what the point of this even is. Once it triggers, it only plays an advertisement video on loop of you doing EXACTLY THIS, and lets you hear from their “winners”...

After reading other reviews, you do NOT need Valpak3D! It has an asterisk (*) next to the notice on the inside stating the $100 thing, and if you look for it on the back of the envelope it states, “NO PURCHASE NECESSARY...$100 checks are randomly inserted. 1 in 50,000 envelopes has a check inside...”

Valpak3D in no way makes it tell if you won or lost, it’s JUST an advertisement to hear testimonials. Delete it and save yourself some space. If you actually won, THE PHYSICAL CHECK IS IN THE ENVELOPE. So open up the ValPak each time they clog your mail box, and if it isn’t there, proceed to do what it use they do best; fire-starter kindling.

So I downloaded Valpak3D and selected the, “ scan your envelope” option and a white bar begins to move up and down on my screen. I point my camera at the specified area on the envelope and an image of a similar envelope appeared with a hand holding an instant $100 flyer. Thinking that I had won $100, I began leafing through all the coupons, to which I found no $100. Is this some kind of sick joke, if it is its not funny.

I had no problem “scanning” the envelope. It starts a short video using augmented reality, so the video moves all over if you don’t hold your phone steady. You can easily be a winner without using Valpak3D ; the video says 1 in 50,000 envelopes is randomly stuffed with a $100 check. An entire app just to show a couple quotes from past winners seems unnecessary.

The envelope has a “yes it’s real” box inside that if you scan it Valpak3D plays a little blurb about the $100 check that COULD be inside. Another feature of Valpak3D requires you to accept location services so that Valpak3D can tell you where there are deals local to you at that moment. If you see a company that you may use, you tap on that companies box and it displays what the deal is.

I mean, it doesn’t do anything other than what it says to do. It does AR for coupons and the envelope. To be clear, to scan you envelope, you have to scan the inside.

After scanning it does not tell you if you’re a winner, because that’s not what it’s for. It’s just to show you a video with recordings from other winners. The envelope is misleading in this way. If you won, you’re envelope legitimately just has a check in it.

I downloaded Valpak3D to scan my Valpak envelope because an ad on my envelope stated I could hear from past winners of their $100 monthly giveaway. I was curious, so I downloaded Valpak3D and followed directions. Did not work!! Tried several times. Deleted app.

I tried scanning my envelope every possible way but it never did anything except make little twinkly lights. No message saying whether or not you’re a winner. Deleting.

Serves no purpose and does even that poorly. Double audio and no real reason to use it other than failed attempts to hear previous winners. Don’t waste your time with Valpak3D.

I got Valpak3D because “$100 could be in this envelope” and “yes it’s real, hear from our winners.” I scanned the print area and after scanning the printed words was given the very useful instruction “open the envelope to see if you’ve won.”

I thought by downloading Valpak3D I could scan my envelope and I could tell if I was $100 winner that way, basically all you’re doing is downloading an app to scan your envelope while a commercial plays. That’s it folks. Nothing else.

This is the most ridiculous and stupid waste of time you could ever imagine! It asks for permission to use your camera and literally looks like it’s scanning something and does absolutely nothing. Don’t waste your time and don’t even bother with it; it’s a scam!

The title says it all. This is an app for a 30 second ad and imo not worth the time or phone space. It would be nicer if Valpak3D had the coupons found in the mailed envelopes.
