We are custom home builder with large volume. We are cost plus business model. We needed a way to get all on the same page with clients and our staff. It has given us transparency, organization, connectivity, and direction. We would not have been able to get over the hump without this system.
We recommend this for any construction company that is serious about growth and understands the value of processes.
Our clients have been thrilled with it and in some cases it actually covered our tail because all the Documentation of communication is recorded.
There are so many other ways we use this software. It’s worth every penny and so glad we spent the time and effort to truly understand it. There was a tough learning curve in the beginning but with CC internal support and training we moved through it then we really opened it up. With anything that offers great reward there is often a struggle in the beginning.

Ever since they merged with buildertrend they started changing things. I can no longer upload photos from my phone to a job which is a very big deal for my company. They said they were working on it but it’s now been over 3 weeks and there has not been an update to fix. For 5-600 per month, they don't get any slack from me! For $10 a month, sure, but for premium costs, I expect a premium product. Their customer service team doesn’t even respond to my emails anymore. They just don’t care! I’m BEYOND frustrated. Prospect projects without pictures are beginning to pile up and my subs can’t send accurate bids without lots of before photos. Not their problem though. For them they can just keep saying “we’re working on it” for me as a project manager I have to jump through hoops in order for my jobs to stay on track. I’m at my breaking point. I’m now looking for new programs to use.

These people are completely crooks. They lied point blank when they were selling me the access to there software just to get $170 from me. During my first tutorial I realized they do not have an option to create an estimate based on your plans. I asked again to clarify at that point I was told their product does not offer that option. Throwout our conversations prior to purchasing the product I was told that the coconstuct offer a lot more and we have 90 day money back guarantee. When I told him that this is not what I wanted they tell me I can’t get my money back because I didn’t keep it for 90 days. I’m letting these thieves charge my card for 90 days for something that will not even work for me. So folks be carful dealing with #1 crooks in construction industry. Plus someone told me I can dispute charges with my credit card company since they these are fraudulent charges.

I won't talk about the benefits of this app here, as builders that use it know it's immense value. The reviewer that have one star apparently didn't read anything about the software before purchasing!

CoConstruct itself is constantly being improved, just like the web version. These folks listen to input, and I have seen changes made after I have suggested things. Overall, good functionality that keeps getting better, from an honest company.

Co+ (which is now our abbreviation for this app), has literally transformed how we as a company interact with each other, our customers and our vendors. Additionally, their customer support is unlike anything else that I have ever experienced. Ignore the dummy that gave them a 1-star review, I’d be surprised if they’re still in business.

Check out “Home Building Excel Spreadsheet” on Etsy (store name on Etsy is “Spreadsheets4Life”). It has cost/schedule (Gantt) and a step-by-step checklist. It even has an estimated draw schedule. If you’re a smaller company it may take care of your needs.

Co Construct may be overkill for what you are doing. If so, why pay so much each month. The Etsy spreadsheet is a one-time cost.

Recent revisions to CoConstruct have left it broken and unstable. Constant crashes on multiple devices as well as loosing requested information after passing through two layers of selections. Their web based interface is ok, yet there are substantially better softwares out there. Steer clear of this mess of a app and stick with the web based interface if you are a trade who is forced into this mess of a software. If you are a builder, do your trades a favor and pick a better software.

The new time clock upgrade is good. The original time clock feature felt like an afterthought. This version is more in line with what I expect from a functional and well thought out time tracking tool. My team who previously thought the time clock was a burden is now using it regularly for real time time tracking.

In general, I’m loving the software on my computer so far, it’s been about a month. I want to start making regular use of CoConstruct but it almost never loads. I’ll get the swirling icon after I enter my user name and password and.... that’s it. It just won’t open. I’ve reinstalled it, rebooted my phone, etc and sometimes it’ll load once before I have to reinstall it again.
It’s not my phone- plenty of other robust apps work well.
This means I have to keep paper notes I the field and then empty my brain when I’m finally back at my desk. I’d really appreciate a fix ASAP.

I am actually in the process of building now and like using CoConstruct and communicating through it. There are only a few glitches and/or use things that might help in the future.

1. The “back” button when you are in any of the selections tabs is touchy. I have to push it so many times.

2. Any and ALL documentation should be archived instead of disappearing until the build is complete. We have gone back and forth about a couple things with our builder and they completely removed a few uploaded pictures and estimates. Again, just put them in an archived area, but allow us to access them until the end. Luckily we printed a few things out, but not all of them.

3. So much more to this! I NEVER want anyone to feel the way I feel one month into new homeownership. I am happy to talk to anyone with questions.

When there is a pending choice in specs & selections, there’s an indicator next to Specs & Selections on the home page only. Once you click on Specs and Selections, you have to just know or guess the category of the spec of the indicator that you are trying to find, which is really inefficient. Please add the indicator to the category as well.

Pretty sorry software for coordinating a build process. I’m a home owner in the build process and every time I turn around I can’t find or do what I want to do in CoConstruct . There’s gotta be something better out there.

For example, you can upload photos in app, but no way to upload files?!? Come on. Also your labeling system is crappy and I can never find what I want if I don’t know the label of a file or photo. Ditch it and it would be easier!

As a general contractor we pay a lot for this service and the mobile app is constantly crashing, limited on photo uploads, lacking features, etc. They haven’t updated it in a month and they know about the bugs. Super frustrating. Please update things more regularly. We need to use this everyday all day and shouldn’t have to pay so much for a service that is barely stable.

The Co-construct app allows us to push complete visibility of details about our projects to field staff, clients, and all trade partners. The updated version is clean and easy to navigate. The communication suite is a game-changer for us and will undoubtedly save time for everyone who uses it with their clients. Awesome tool!

I use this app all day every day. Before the last update it was very user friendly, quick and efficient for a very busy builder. Now it is the most annoying, least efficient app I’ve used. I really liked it before, but now I dread tapping the icon. Please help a brother and make CoConstruct useful again!

The software is great in concept but CoConstruct has too many bugs. Very annoying for the field guys

The website is a great tool, but is best used with a laptop. However, the mobile app is garbage. I can’t navigate CoConstruct without it crashing, even with a strong internet connection. It would be ideal to be able to edit schedules or communicate through CoConstruct on the job site, but CoConstruct isn’t reliable enough to do so.

A great tool for the field, easy to find details about the jobs. Also makes communication with the team a breeze. Easy to add photos to show in depth detail.

I’m constantly logged out of CoConstruct (other apps can keep me logged in... why can’t this one), doesn’t even use face / Touch ID to login. This wouldn’t even be so bad except that it never lets me login!! Always presents error messages when I try to login with the same email and password that work FINE on the website.

A big reason for existence of this kind of app is to facilitate communication between client and builder, yet CoConstruct lacks the kind of specificity needed to do that. You may get a notification that there is new communication but you will be unable to actually find it buried on the haystack of nested folders.

The potential is there; iPhone app notifications and selections get lost after the 1st level of menu selection... the orange or red notification indicator is only visible on the top level menu in the iPhone app version: webpage access shows the indicator on each subsequent level of menus.

Otherwise, a great way to follow construction progress.

This one simple fix would rate it 5 stars, as is... it is a tedious process to find updates and selection notifications.

Excellent upgrade to better modify schedules from the field on mobile. Keep it up!

Hands down this is the most important tool that any contractor can use.
