STAY AWAY. DO NOT USE. FRAUDULENT.

Worst app ever. Do NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT DO THE 30 day trial!!!! I called and canceled this service after I never even used it ONCE and the charge still came through. I called back and asked the horrible “CSA” (you can’t even call her customer service as she was obviously trained my kin jon uhn) if she would kindly remove the charge as I have never even used it and wasn’t planning to (this is the 30th day, mind you so if I’d done it tomorrow or the next day she may be able to sell this but even then they’re just stealing money and giving you this “service” whether you want it or not which is appalling in and of itself) thus the reason to cancel and DEFINITELY to not be charged. This is literally highway robbery to charge someone for a service a day early and then tell the person (me) that they’ll ask for a refund as it’s not guaranteed!!!!!! Payment with a cc is for “services rendered,” and these services are not and never will be rendered! So do not charge me, please reverse your mistake! And anyone else out there, this is the scammiest, worst app ever, so just go listen to audible and be happy! They have an amazing policy and won’t ever treat you badly. I can’t say that about this place.
Note: you’ve been forewarned.
Aloha!

Lacking to say the least

So AllYouCanBooks/website was not what I was expecting at all. Preventing me from seeing the site until I signed up for their free trial first. After looking through most of the books on the site, all I can say is that I was very disappointed from the lack of content. AllYouCanBooks itself is very poor quality too. Below I highlighted my three biggest concerns.

1. Your downloads are forced to happen all at once and will only work when AllYouCanBooks is open
2. The books are all pretty much generic coming from the public domain.
3. The search engine is absolutely terrible, where searching for author/book names will yield results with names in the descriptions of book summaries. (Also books can’t be searched separately from podcasts even when books are selected)

Overall my advice to the consumer is to just got onto apple’s podcasts and bookstore. Most if not all the books on AllYouCanBooks can be found on those two resources for free. Heck there’s many podcasts where a person reads books for free too so no shortage of audio books there.

*Message to AllYouCanBooks developer*
If you provide a paid service to the consumer, make sure the service is good quality. There should be a good selection of books/audio books and AllYouCanBooks should be intuitive for the consumer.

Canceled free trial after 30 mins

I am primarily interested in audiobooks. There is no tab to view a comprehensive list of audiobooks, nor does the search option easily facilitate an audiobook-only search. I am also a fan of historical fiction, but a search for historical fiction yielded a number of history books and classic fiction, such as Mark Twain.

Compared to the free US library-based offerings like Libby and Hoopla, and the paid service Scribd, I found this app to be difficult to navigate, not intuitively organized, and frustrating to maneuver within. 10-15 years ago, this would’ve been something worth giving a try, but with all the far-superior free and/or lower-cost platforms available, I would not use this even if it was free. (In fact, I canceled within the first 30 mins of my free 30-day trial.)

Free is good. App is difficult

Free is good but it isn't free. It's $20 a month BUT cheaper than Audible. BUT it's very very hard to navigate AllYouCanBooks . It's difficult to search by author. I don't find any series offered in mysteries.
In Audible I can find my library, I can manage my Wish List, I can get back to my current selection by tapping on the icon and go right back to where I stopped.
AllYouCanBooks makes you go thru the steps as though you were starting over.
AYCB- you better be working 24/7 in AllYouCanBooks. Get some people in to try it out right in front of you. Take notes. Fix it.

Ugh

Found this service online while looking for a certain book. It was late, the free trial sounded good. I searched and searched, and of their “40,000 books”, I found not one popular title that I was looking for. Tried several times to cancel by phone, as doing so online was not an option, only to be placed on hold immediately and ran out of patience before reaching a human being. I finally forgot about it until being billed, and emailed them while the charge was still pending. I wish I would have done that first as they actually did respond and cancel the service, only rubbing salt on the wound in their email by reminding me of their terms of service and that they “conveniently billed” my card on file. Lesson learned. Save your money. You could find their “B” rated titles on bargain table in a thrift store.

Every book ever thrown away

This is the home of every book ever thrown away by a library. Aside from the D- list book titles that are provided, AllYouCanBooks itself is also horrible. There are NO SEARCH FILTERS!!!! So even if you are on the Books tab and type in the name of a book or author the results are a massive list of books AND podcasts that list anything close to 1 word in your title search..... you might be thinking ‘it is still worth it because it is free’.... let me tell you that you will spend more time weeding through the endless list of garbage results than necessary AND STILL NOT FIND THE BOOK you searched for.
Just get a public library card and borrow their books if you don’t want to spend money.... at least they have recent titles and search filters.

Too bad, disappointed.

I just started using AllYouCanBooks for the free trial, but know right now that I'm not going to keep it.
1. There is no landscape view. My 12.7 ” iPad Pro is too tipsy to remain in portrait position for any length of time. It is unreasonable to expect your customers to accommodate AllYouCanBooks when the choice should be a standard of software creation.
2. I resent having to put in my credit information BEFORE I'm told what the cost per month will be - shabby business practice.
3. I love to follow the narrative in words as well as listen to the narrator telling the story. That does not happen here. It is either audio or print. I thought a ”both” selection would be an option.
4. The selections are ok, but not as comprehensive as I thought they would be.

Don’t care for it.

When I started with the free trail I had hopes for AllYouCanBooks. I love books and I am always looking for new reads. When I started reading some of the books it literally reminded of reading stuff off of Wattpad. Only some of the reads over there are much better than the ones I tried reading over and they’re free over there. I tried to find a way to cancel my subscription before the free trail was over because I wasn’t very happy with AllYouCanBooks only to realize I couldn’t find away to cancel. I have contacted them twice now to cancel my subscription hopefully this last time works because they are basically taking my money for no reason at this point.

What a waste of time!

If you’re looking for classics (The Red Badge of Courage or The Wizard of Oz for example) or books by authors no one has ever heard of, or perhaps some ancient texts (Sumerian poetry from cuneiform texts), then this is AllYouCanBooks for you! But if you’re hoping for books by modern and popular authors whose books might be found in, say, Barnes & Noble, forget it- you won’t find them here. No Grisham or Cornwell, no Patterson or Cussler, no Baldacci or Griffin. Absolutely no mainstream Christian fiction or non-fiction either. I’m not even going to stick out my free trial because I haven’t found a single book I’d like to listen to. I guess I should have known better when I couldn’t browse titles before handing over my credit card information... I’m sticking with Audible!

SCAM-Read all the comments

Total SCAM. I should have read other people's reviews before creating an account. The funny thing is that many people put 1 star but when you search AllYouCanBooks says it has 5 stars.
You must be careful because it is not free, it costs $ 20 dollars a month. I created an account and never provided my card information.
After a month they charged me a subscription, I thought they took my information from my Apple account. However, when I asked them (Call Center) where they got my information from, they told me that the only way they got my information was that I had typed the information on my card, that I am 100% sure never did.

AllYouCanBooks itself is hard to use. Very outdated.

Also, the type of books they have are not the most up-to-date, if you are someone who likes old literature, you may enjoy it. They have a few books that I liked but very little. Personally I prefer Audible even though there is no access to enough books per a month.

Poor Choices

I’ve used Audible for years and then this site popped up in a feed, so tonight I “tried” it. Nothing noteworthy to rent. Lots of books and authors, but, not even in the same class as Audible or even Kindle. Odd, eclectic mix of books, searching is a nightmare and I cancelled less than 10 minutes after AllYouCanBooks was opened. Canceling is not an option online, not sure if it will via email, but, I opted not to try. The hold time for customer service was about average and the young lady who canceled for me was very nice and I received the cancellation email as promised. Ideally, this is over. I won’t make this sort of mistake again, I’m going back to audible.

Terrible UX

The search bar, if you’re wondering, is hidden in the tiny three-bars menu in the upper left. You have to scroll down past all the genres to find it at the very bottom of the menu. Either there is no display option for ‘this search returned no results’, the search is broken, or it is incredibly slow and doesn’t provide any indication it’s actually doing something. If you want to browse based on the categories they offer I guess it could work, but I’d you want to find a particular title don’t bother.

Cancel

I need to know how to cancel my subscription. Just got AllYouCanBooks and haven’t really used it so can’t give a review just decided I didn’t need another reading app and now can’t figure out how to cancel. Can anyone helped. Already sent an email and they said they couldn’t find my account.

Thanks

SCAM.

Do not use this service. AllYouCanBooks is useless. They advertised a friend of mine's book that they never really had access to. Took credit info and never delivered. Then proceeded to charge for a subscription , a month later, the details of which were buried in the fine print of some "click here" agreement that never mentioned a fee. Anywhere. The day the charge appears from an email from my bank- I contact them and they say " please recommend us to your friends and family. Which is the sole reason I'm warning the general public to NOT Use AllYouCanBooks.

ABSOLUTE SCAM

This "service" has been taking money out of my bank account even when it was in the negative, and for all I can find the only possible way to cancel your service is to call a customer service number and immediately be put on hold for over 20minutes. I signed up for the free trial and never even used the service because it offers nothing. As MOST services of this kind go, when I didn't have the $20 in the bank account, they usually cancel the service. Instead, I was charged $40 the next month. And trying to cancel is a nightmare.

By

Don't bother

So you have to sign up in order to see their "library" it's not worth it at all. Old books, nothing new. I downloaded two, twelve years a slave read by someone British, no offense but it wasn't worth listening too due to the accent I couldn't imagine it was actually him. Second book was the art of war by sun tzu. It was being read by a woman and it sounded like it was being recorded in her home and I could hear furniture being moved around in the background. What a waste of space AllYouCanBooks is. Making sure to discontinue before the 30 day free trial is up.

By

This is the most non-user-friendly app I’ve ever seen

It’s hard to search for books. I’ve had to download my books 12 times at this point and it will probably ask me to re-download them the next time I open AllYouCanBooks . Difficult to find books that you want. For having to pay money for this it is absolutely bonkers that anybody still has AllYouCanBooks. I assume they’re people who don’t really care what they listen too

By

I can’t find anything!

I’m an Audible user and thought I’d try this to see if it had any of the book series that isn’t available on Audible. I searched for multiple authors, multiple book titles, and multiple book series. I couldn’t find a single author, series, or book that was familiar or interesting to me. Plus to “verify my identity”, after entering my c/c info, they charged me $1.06! Nothing in the terms and conditions and no warning that they’d do this that I could find.
Also as a side note, their customer service rep. was pretty abrupt and not very friendly AT ALL!

By

This is terrible

I wish I had read the reviews before I downloaded it. So many people are saying that same thing. Every 5 star review I see on here looks fake. The ‘search’ bar is a total joke. I can’t find a single book I’m interested in so far, and it isn’t helped by the fact that I have zero inclination to scroll through thousands of crappy books to find one good one. Save yourself some time and just go to the library. I’m calling to cancel right now (no way to do it online) and then I’m going to the library.

By

Awful customer service

Beware. This service is built on the premise that you will subscribe for $20/month and forget that you are subscribed. They will never message you or prompt you to use the service. And if you do want to cancel? There is no way to do it without emailing them. The service may deliver value if you are using it regularly (I never used it) but it’s up to you to remember that you’re subscribed. I unfortunately did not and got charged for years with no relief from All You Can Books.

By

Needs a search bar

I wish you could search for authors, not liking that you have to scroll all the books to find something I might like.

By

No search feature and few good books

First thing I noticed is that there is no search feature!? Not on AllYouCanBooks or webpage. How do you create an app without the ability to look for specific books/authors. Secondly, many of these books are old and/or not very good. Most of the ones worth listening to are classics. Not worth the money. Also the downloads page is a mess. I canceled after 3 days. Didn’t even want the whole 30 days free. Definitely not worth $20 a month.

By

Needs Search Bar

I downloaded this to listen to audio books so that I could save time, listening, while doing productive things. There is no search bar. It does not save me time to scroll through 30,000 books. Plus, I do not desire to see the gross sexual books that are unavoidable when you have to scroll, rather than search. Thanks to a freeish market in America, there are other options, which I will now be moving to. Also requests a review as soon as you sign up. Really?

Phoebe Dean by Grace Livingston HILL

The story/ book was what I expected but it didn’t completely download. I kept having to reload it and start over or find my place again. It never did load all the way. I’m disappointed in “ALL YOU CAN BOOKS” in general. The selections are not at all what I hoped for. I want to cancel before my 30 days are up but it’s almost impossible to do . I have a feeling that’s on purpose. So I send an email and wait for 7 days for someone to respond so I will be charged before it’s canceled?

READ THE REVIEWS

I wish I had taken the time to read the reviews before signing up for the 30 day free trial. I literally just signed up less than 10 minutes ago and I already want to cancel. Canceling however seems to be next to impossible. There is no way to do so online. This is absolutely infuriating. There are no decent books. Everything is very old or by authors no ones ever heard of. Nothing worth reading or listening to here. This is a complete SCAM! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
