To be clear, I’ve been playing this game for several months so I’ve seen it from beginning to end. It could have been pretty cool, with lots of level building and crafting. Lots of crafting! The pay to play ceiling is high enough to make you almost feel like you don’t actually have to pay to play. But don’t kid yourself, you WILL.
The levels are beautiful, the graphics are beautiful, and the animations are beautiful. It ain’t no Balders Gate or Neverwinter nights, but in fairness, I’m sure the developers never set out to re-create those games. There’s really only about a dozen maps, each consisting of four areas which are made up of 3 or 4 screens. So it’s small. But the gameplay is fairly balanced and fun. Unfortunately, what kills this game is, the deeper you go, the more “crashey” it gets. Lots of crashing! Like every few minutes! To make matters worse, the special events are guaranteed to crash, and, can’t be played without paying. The developers are well aware of it, but there doesn’t seem to be any good solution to solve it. It’s too bad really, if this game wasn’t crashing all the time, it would be a great game which I wouldn’t mind paying a little to play.
