This is one of the worst apps I have tried to use. It will play for awhile, but then JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute shuts down and I have to start all over. It is impossible to fast forward to where JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute quit. This has happened repeatedly with the same broadcast, so I just wait until it finally comes through on the Apple podcast app, which is usually many hours later (the only reason I was using JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute in the first place). When I press the fast forward button, it doesn’t do anything except change to 2x speed and then I can’t get back to normal speed. From the previous review, it’s obvious that there have been problems (and pretty much the same problems) with JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute for over a year. It’s time to get these bugs fixed.

I love JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute! You can personalize it and find awesome resources to help you grow closer to your family and to God. I noticed the top review (at the time of this writing) said the broadcast will stop playing when the screen locks and you have to go back in and restart it. This isn’t true, it plays perfectly fine. I assume this person said that because they had an outdated version. But this version is wonderful and I highly recommend it.

love JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute! It works great on my iPhone, with the exception of some of the videos don't give off any audio. But otherwise a very useful tool!

I love listening to the messages, however JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute constantly shuts down or freezes. I listened to something nearly two weeks ago and my app is still frozen despite going as far as restarting my phone to get it to work.

Can you please fix the white letters with the white background! This makes it very hard to see, regardless of the lighting conditions.

I love the ariticles in JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute however when it is very delayed on my iPhone. When I click on article or when I try to scroll to read them it is delayed. Please update. Thanks!

I tried several times to listen but only heard about two or three minutes. Please update JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute. I miss doctor Dobson.

App keeps shutting down.

Downloaded JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute after seeing a Facebook family ad. Thought it might help to incorporate family values, reminders, articles to help increase my patience as a parent... Very discouraged when I clicked on the first "Resource" under "Listen to Family Talk Broadcast." As others have stated, as soon is iPhone monitor goes to sleep (mine is set for 1 to 2 minutes), audiobook stops abruptly and connection is lost. User needs to reopen iPhone, find the specific audiobook of interest again (there is no placeholder), then fast-forward to where audio stopped (usually around two minutes).

Ready to remove JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute after 3 failed attempts to listen to first broadcast.

...from the notification. It notifies my phone when a new article goes up, but when I swipe it, it just takes me to the home page of JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute and I have to scroll through to where the article is :(. Love JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute though other than this issue

I have completed the personalization questions several times and each time it says completed but when I click to access JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute the screen goes black and when I relaunch JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute it starts all over again with the personalization questions. Maybe not such a great app if you only have a 4

I love Family Talk but JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute is so limited. It gives you choices of wife, mother, father, or husband to corral you to pertinent content. But where's all the other stuff that doesn't necessarily pertain to those categories? Like David Ring's testimony, or the "Speechless" broadcast. I like the old app better even with its imperfections.

Was running iOS 7.1 and when I opened JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute it said there was no content in the categories. I upgraded to iOS 8.4 and JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute works perfect. Awesome app!!!

I was able to fill everything out when I first downloaded it but there is no content in it and also crashes constantly. I love the reminders it's sends to pray throughout the day still. Looking forward to when it's fixed and made properly like others are saying!

I was very excited for JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute when I saw advertised on Facebook. Downloaded, filled out questions and then clicked what I wanted to do. Shut down. Waited 30 mins tried again, had to fill info out again, shut down again.
Unable to do anything.
Please fix the bugs

FYI- Stops playing if phone falls asleep or you go into a new window.

No issues at all on my phone.

App. Works great and the programs are excellent encouragement for the day.
The iPhone app is efficiently designed.

Would love to know how it works for some and not others. I did everything correctly and still nothing. I keep getting "No data available" when I try to reach or watch something. I really want JamesDobsonFamilyInstitute.
