Not Up To Date

When I first got TelevisionTime, I thought it was great. After a couple months, it has gone considerably downhill. More than half the shows I watch do not list most of most recently aired episodes for me to keep track. There several shows where an entire new season has aired and TelevisionTime still has those shows at last year’s seasons. I truly need to keep up to date and TelevisionTime is failing. For American shows, maybe the data team should check up TV Guide for the most recent episodes. As for the shows created outside of America, good luck finding accurate info, as TelevisionTime is not aware of when they’ll air here. It really needs an overhaul.

Too Glitchy

I am really upset I paid money for this. I was unhappy with my previous app so I got this one on recommendation, but it has been constantly glitchy. Right now it's showing me all my shows duplicated and randomly marking episodes unwatched. It doesn't sync properly with iCloud so even though my iPad has everything correct, it doesn't translate to the iPhone at all. It also started notifying me of my shows start time on Central time, which is great for when I was traveling, but now that I'm back it's obnoxious. I'm overall very dissatisfied, and would never recommend people pay money for this.

Useful, but sync with Trakt is problematic

I’ve been using TelevisionTime for years, but across multiple phones and iOS versions it consistently has trouble syncing with Trakt. It says 20% then never updates. It forgets shows that I’ve checked off and I repeatedly have to scan through to re-check off things I’ve watched because it failed to sync. It require you to delete it and reinstall it to correct syncing issues. I’m deleting it for the last time. I found a replacement that is 90% as good, but can sync.

Crazy price changes

I’ve been using TelevisionTime for about a year now, and it’s been pretty useful for tracking shows. While I understand the desire for every developer to switch from one time payments to the subscription model, I just don’t understand the thought process some have when it comes to deciding how to price it. TelevisionTime went from a one time purchase of $5 to an annual subscription of $10. Historically, it’s had pretty infrequent updates, so I’m not sure why they felt it justified to take the price we paid one time and make us pay double it yearly. Or to pay an even more insane $75 one time purchase again. For existing users, it’s not like we are getting any real increase in value. I could somewhat understand maybe a $5/year annual subscription to help fund ongoing development. But $10 is just way too much. And I don’t see many new users finding it worth that much either. And for existing users, we should be able to get a discount on the new “lifetime” purchase. It’s a good app, which is why I’m leaving 3 stars and would have given it 5 before. But it seems like the dev just went into greedy cash grab mode now.

Cool, but needs work

TelevisionTime is solid, and does a great job of what you need it to do. I will co ti he to use it. But some of the functionality is off. For example, if you select a show, decide you don’t like it, you’ll need it follow the pathway to searching for it and unselecting it. To refresh artwork, you must do so manually. And load times are quite slow all things considered. To be clear, it’s a few little tweaks away from being great. Just not there quite yet.

Great but needs more

I have TelevisionTime 3 stars because it’s great but there are two features I would like to see implemented in the future. The ability to access episodes from the main show page, from a user experience view, I don’t know why this wasn’t one of the first things added to a shows page, you have to add the show and then go back to your main dashboard to find the show you added in order to add episodes.

The second feature is like to see is a better rating system, similar to letterboxd. It could be where you rate each episode and then there is an average score for the show based off your episode reviews or you could just choose to rate the show overall. Either way I’d like to see a more rating system where I could then see my shows ranked by rating.

Was and is good but developer is disingenuous

Those who paid for premium features prior to Max changing his revenue model got screwed out of features of the new one. Anyone who tells him that and he tells a red herring about time being put into TelevisionTime . I develop, fork, etc. open source software and have for years, and not once have I guilt tripped users for expressing disappointment in a change of monetization or blocking features.

Great App and Developer

I’ve tried every app I could find to track TV shows, and Television Time is the best. It works well and has a great UI. When I had some problems with Trakt syncing, the developer went above and beyond to help me get it sorted out. If you’re looking for a way to keep track of what you’re watching, look no further - this is it.

Great app!

This is a great app for tracking the episodes of your favorite shows and if you have a lot of shows as a reminder when the next season starts. Search for your show, designate it, Shows original air dates, each episode lists a synopsis and can be checked off as viewed.

Best app for cord cutters

We’ve been using TelevisionTime to track our progress through tv shows and when they return (new seasons) ever since we cut the cord. In my opinion it’s the best app for cord cutters on the market.

I really like the new feature that shows you new content by streaming platform (ie Netflix, Disney+, etc). Keep up the good work!

Alternate View

Pleas Please Please
I would love to have a view choice of “Currently Watching” I enjoy going through shows that have ended or re-watching. I also want the current shows with upcoming air dates. Would love to have the option to manually select the shows to keep at the top.
Thank you

The best tv tracking app I’ve seen

I almost never spend money on phone apps on principle, but I was searching for a TV tracking app since I watch a large number of shows regularly (such as the Arrowverse shows).

I was recommended TelevisionTime by a friend, and TelevisionTime is now something I daily use. I love getting to track everything I’ve watched, and it is great to quickly see the IMDB page for the episode I’m currently watching.

The design of TelevisionTime is slick and it’s very user friendly. If you are a TV app, this will compliment your viewing habits very well.

I also almost never write app reviews. I’m writing this review because I want to support the developers, because they really nailed it with TelevisionTime.

Long time user

I have been using TelevisionTime for a few years. I love the interface as it is clean and easy to use. I bought TelevisionTime when it was $5. Now that it’s subscription based, I haven’t had to pay anything as it provides everything it had before but not sure if that’s because I had previously purchased or if it’s because the extras are not obvious cash grabs. At this point, I would recommend TelevisionTime. Would have been 5 stars but waiting to see if subscription model becomes intrusive.

Cannot see episodes

App got updated to 2.0 yesterday and now there is no way to see an episode list for an individual show. Is this a way to force me to purchase a subscription? I have been using TelevisionTime for years and have been very happy with it.

Update. Developer contacted me and explained how to see what I was looking for. All good :-)

Looks incredible. Helps track my tv shows

TelevisionTime looks incredible. I’ve been using it for months and it works great. Keeps track of my progress as to what tv show I’ve seen. If you use Trakt TelevisionTime syncs with that extremely well. Developer continue to update TelevisionTime over time. I can’t wait to see what’s next. He also makes a nice movie tracking app that I use as well.

After several years using this app, I think is one of the best for sure

I’ve been using TelevisionTime for a while now, and I love how easy is to add or follow TVShows, also follow and mark as watched some episodes.

In the past I experienced some issues, but I have to say that in the last updates the developer has really put TelevisionTime in the next level.

I'm so happy using TelevisionTime. Syncs super fast, love the progress bar, widgets...

Programming is to spread out

With all the different platforms and release dates to keep track of TelevisionTime is by far my favorite. I don’t missed out on any programming when it releases and then get “spoiled” by social media. Keeping track of all my favorite programs but still be able to archive shows which have finished. Never be stumped when someone asks a good program you have watched just open TelevisionTime and make a suggestion. Go ahead and purchase.

Question on app

I'm new to TelevisionTime and am enjoying it so far. I previously had a simple app that allowed you to type in the tv show (and build eps and seasons) and movies in another section. It won't be supported in the next iOS.

My question is about the archived area. Can I get a title to move to the archived area? I don't see a way to tap to get a show to move out of the regular list to archived. It would be nice to have the show move from the active list to the archived list when it is over or you stopped watching it. Thanks.

Favorite App

Honestly, my favorite app. I use it every single day. Tracking progress on multiple series can be hard, but Television Time makes it pleasantly easy. There are many similar apps that don’t work nearly as well: Television Time offers a simple, user friendly interface, while also providing powerful, advanced options and useful widgets. I don’t know how I could manage my binge watching multiple shows at once and keeping a long queue for the future. Five stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best App Around

I’ve used several TV/Film tracking apps. Spend hours setting up my profiles and catalogs on each of them, but have never used one as simple to use & convenient and smooth as TV Time. Highly recommend TelevisionTime over the rest
