My School Menus Reviews

As someone who is lazy and has a hankering for one of the menu items that rarely comes around, I really wanted this to work. I wanted to know when what food would be offered and plan ahead. Yet here I am, unable to get past the first page. I plug in my district and nothing happens. I reinstalled, I begged whatever god is up there, I pleaded to my phone screen to no avail. So here I am writing this. Maybe the creators of MySchoolMenus will see this and offer some guidance in these trying times.

I appreciate the idea, but MySchoolMenus simply doesn’t work. After working one time, MySchoolMenus quit working. Menus are no longer there and when reselecting school district I get an access denied error. Even the one time I was able to use it, I found it pretty user unfriendly from a navigation standpoint. Again nice idea, but needs major work before it’s ready for use.

I would much rather have a full month for the school that i can easily print and post and mark. It is a lot of effort to go back and forth between the school and days and meals. Also, the labels are wrong. it should be calories, not kcal. otherwise it is saying that one cookie is 111kcal, which is 111,000 calories. poor execution.

I am sure the vast majority of folks forced to use MySchoolMenus are from a single district. Please allow for bookmarks or some such way to leave MySchoolMenus with a certain district and school.

I’d like to be able to print a weeks menus with carb counts instead of the long process of hunt and peck each item. The process is to slow for a busy school day.

Doesn’t connect to school... really. Can’t even get that right and it looks like y’all aren’t even trying to fix it

I love the idea after I saw my school district advertising it on their paper menu. Downloaded MySchoolMenus BUT it doesn’t get past the school district name. Won’t show the menu or anything after I select my district. If this is fixed, I’ll definitely give it 5 stars.

Is there seriously no way to save the menu? Do I honestly have to search every time? Must be a bug.

I’m going into 8th grade and want to start planning my meals and eating healthier. I saw a QR code for this on the website and decided to download. It would not go past the screen where you had to input your school district. I really hope this gets changed.

I LOVE the idea of MySchoolMenus. I can already picture my son and I ordering his lunches and having “carb competitions” and having him track his lunch calories. However, there’s gotta be something buggy with MySchoolMenus when being used on the newest iOS platform, because I can’t create an account or access any of the brilliantly displayed features that obviously had a lot of heart and soul when they developed it. There’s been a few updates to the iOS platform, so that might explain things like not being able to create accounts or logins. However, I want to thank their customer service so much, because it was almost immediately after contacting the help portion of MySchoolMenus that I got an email from a very nice woman who as able to raise some possible solutions and promised she’d also contact my son’s school lunch provider directly to see what could be done to create an account successfully. Great support, and once the links are ironed out, it looks like it’s got the potential to be a fantastic app!

iPhone is updated to newest iOS 13.3 and app crashes as soon as I get the 3rd letter of my district in. Haven’t even gotten into MySchoolMenus . I deleted app and downloaded again. Same thing.

MySchoolMenus is great for the parents who actually care about what their children are putting into their bodies at school. Download is fast. Extremely easy to navigate. Nutrition facts for all the food choices. The only thing that would make MySchoolMenus better would be a one tap link to switch from lunch to breakfast menus instead of going back in the navigation menu to switch. I'm happy with the way it is though. Love it!

I am so grateful to find MySchoolMenus! I walked by the poster advertising MySchoolMenus on the cafeteria wall for months without actually reading what it said, but the day our lunch line stalled in front of it changed my lunchtime mindset! I am using My Fitness Pal to track my eating and hated guessing what calories to put for that cheeseburger I ate with my students in the cafeteria. Now I can open the menu and compare the nutrition information for the days three choices and make an informed choice about my lunch. I was thrilled to find out the ranch on the salad bar was low calorie, I had avoided it as some dressings are very high in calories but now I can enjoy a dab on my broccoli :)

Able to use MySchoolMenus to connect to my school lunches. Handy to have available

MySchoolMenus is a great way to see what you kids are eating at school. The meals have breakdown that would definitely help a child eat properly if they were facing health issues such as diabetes.
My issue is more with a functionality issue that hopefully will be corrected in future versions of MySchoolMenus .
I have 3 students in 3 schools so for each child I have to go back and select a different school and menu to review their choices. MySchoolMenus should ultimately save the menus you’d like to come up so that you may easily toggle between them with fluidity. This is a great start but if I am forced to go in and constantly choose different menus then it is just as easy to print and hang the 3 menus up on my fridge and see them all at a quick glance.
Please app developers, make MySchoolMenus easier for those of us that have more than one child at more than one school.
