Wanderu: Bus & Train Tickets Reviews

Wanderu is definitely a great way to safely buy a ticket for Amtrak, grey hound etc. I have used Wanderu every time I have left the state to visit friends and family with zero issues. U are able to pull up ur ticket on Wanderu but I always print mine just to be sure that I have the information at hand if for some reason Wanderu isn’t loading at ticket check. I recommend Wanderu to my friends and family and I won’t look for any other way of purchasing transportation!

All in all a very easy transactional experience. this app is a very well organized app that helps me book transport with a lot less effort than before. My only issue is that several times when I’ve used Wanderu , it has shown one price, which then increases as soon as I select the journey. It feels a little bit like a bait and switch operation. That’s not cool and perhaps even potentially illegal - for you lawyers out there - if that’s indeed what’s going on. I’m not sure if it’s just my bad luck or built into Wanderu . It is however definitely something to be mindful of as you use Wanderu .

Sleek look, super easy to use, and incredibly convenient to have all your tickets (from concord, mega is, etc.) all in one place (and without an additional third party fee... Sign me up!). This is my first time using and I feel more organized already! Undoubtedly a must-have for frequent ground travelers! MY ONLY WISH is they’d auto fill all info for all operators on all bookings - that probably steps on toes, though. A

I was stuck with a trip after they had technical difficulties in displaying accurate scheduling. I simply requested a credit so I could select my regular trip and I was meet with the lie that all displays even when there is technical difficulties are accurate abc there’s nothing they could do. If more than 10 trips are displayed after there was none displayed when purchased that is far from accurate and your customer is should never be responsible for anything technical happening within Wanderu .
Just disappointed to hear someone says there’s nothing they can do - when there always is and when your given general replies (as if they are copied and pasted).

Been using Wanderu since I was a broke college student and it’s still the best around. The way they sort trips and search all sorts of sites (even the ones you probably haven’t heard of) I’ve found out I can visit friends in smaller towns all over the place that I thought I’d need to rent a car for. My go to for domestic travel when I have no plans on flying.

I have an easier time planning and booking Amtrak trips on here than through the Amtrak website or app! The interface is smooth, intuitive and easy to use. I love how it separates your options into recommended, earliest, latest, cheapest, and fastest so you can easily find the best option for you depending on what your individual priorities are. Thank you for making my life easier!

For decades I’ve been traveling from the Mid-Atlantic to Westchester New York taking at least four modes of transportation. When I put the request into the this app App, it found a direct route which cut down on at least 1 cab ride transfer and 1 additional train. To put the star on the tree, my costs will be 1/3 of my usual trek in about 1/3 the time.

This is not an app for getting lots of choices or options between locations. This is an app for the most direct option with times, prices and length of travel. Choose and pay. The purchase is directly with the carrier. Wanderu provides the travel options between locations that are serviced by bus and train locations. Really well done.

Always easy to book and the trips available are extensive. And if Wanderu does trip up on something it always has a graceful pop up or handler that doesn’t crash Wanderu or make it freeze. Once I started using this app I’ve never gone anywhere else for bus or train travel

Just please fix the scroll. When you open a trip to see the details and go back to the search results , it automatically takes to you the top of the list. You have to scroll back down to find the trip you wanted. Other than that it's great.

this app is a simple easy to use application that allows users to set up a destination with various means of transit as options on how to get there whether it be bus, train, plane etc. Wanderu takes into account the best prices as well as what matters most to you when traveling. Every frequent traveler or even ones who travel rarely but want to set up their trip in the most convenient manner should download this application.

I’ve been using Wanderu for a long time, and it’s very reliable for getting the best prices and booking easily. My only quips are: 1) the currency keeps defaulting to euros, I want to see it in USD. The setting won’t save and I have to manually change it every time. 2) I would love a button to more easily call the carrier, instead of having to search the number. Besides those, perfect app!

Using this app streamlines your search for all non-flight options (like bus and train) and feeds all results to you super quickly. It makes my life so much easier. PLUS, unlike other third party sites, it makes your reservations directly through the vendor, so your reservations are not treated differently. It's perfect.

I always booked with this app, however recently I booked a bad ticket. I was not allowed to access the AMTRAK at Quantico, VA. I feel that they should not advertise tickets that is on military base to the general public if they are not able to access it or at least this app warn us that it’s on a Marine base. I ended up paying $100 via UBER to get from VA to BWI. This is the only problem I had.

I love the service there’s only one problem the ticket prices. They tell you there’s no availability at one price so they go lower in price and then they tell you your paying $67 dollars instead of $80 but then you view your ticket and it’s at $80 dollars so what is that about???

I love using this app. The mobile app is great, the payments are easy, the search results are clear. The only trouble I’ve had is that this app seems not to publish every route for the companies it contracts with. For certain places I double check on company websites and book through the company when the route is unavailable on this app.

I have been using this app for a couple of years and love. I especially appreciate the filters - fastest, cheapest, earliest, etc as this is how I shop! It’s helpful to see all bus and train options in one place. I have yet to use for flights, didn’t even realize you could. Definitely recommend Wanderu!

I like having Wanderu . It's easy to use. I want more features and options within it though. It would be nice to be able to pick a price and/or destination and just see what's available. Ex. If I could say I wanted to keep my ticket price at a set amount and see where I can go for that price from a set location. Features like this would be beneficial and help some people travel more often!!

10 minutes ago I got an emergency call from my father to head back home from college. After looking through a google listing of website that could help I download Wanderu and bought a train ticket for $25 in less than 5 minutes.

I decided to take a little bus trip out of state and Wanderu was recommended. Totally impressed by how easy it was to find the buses I needed - I especially liked the filters for bus or train only. If this trip goes smoothly, this will become my go to app.

Wanderu was my go-to for awhile when commuting back and forth from VA to NYC. Now, I can’t even get a ticket to process despite being charged for it anymore. They don’t even have a number you can reach out to if this happens to you, so you’re on your own if that happens to you. I’ve used multiple cards and have gotten the same issue, except this time I was charged but was given no confirmation— only an error message. This is very frustrating because I have several job interviews coming up, I’d give it 0 stars if I could.

As a college kid with a million things to remember, this puts everything in one place. I can easily see every option (bus/train/plane) from point A to point B on any day I choose with various price points, travel times, and modes of travel.
It is the easiest fool-proof method of finding a trip!
