I just tried to create an account and I didn't even get that far and it told me the there was an error with my application and to check back later. Tried logging in with the account I tried to create and it said the same thing...to come back later prob with application.

I have liked eventually all the profile on Bristlrdating but I’m yet to receive a like or message from anyone, besides that I realize they haven’t updated their application for over 2yrs now or more. Although it’ll be one of the best dating app if only they can update and have members respond to likes or messages.. Thanks

As a bearded man I had high expectations for Bristlrdating, however, the lack of features and filters makes this utterly unimpressive. There is only a distinction between bearded and non-bearded so you get matched with the same sex quite often (not what I want). They used to send daily matches but that has stopped and after about a week, my 'distance' specifications went out the window and I started getting matched with people all over the country. Furthermore, it seemed as though a large majority of the women on there were only there as a joke. Most only had one pic or one pic of two females so you had no idea who you were matching with. Bristlrdating needs a lot of work.

Bristlrdating hardly works at best. Also they claim that it is for meeting people near you. You don't meet people near you. Instead you are constantly bothered by strange women between 1000 to 9000 miles away. I am good on this nonsense.

P.S. What is with everyone and their mom getting on the facial hair bandwagon? It's been there since the dawn of man. Let's get over it already.

Great concept for an under represented minority in the dating world, but some serious software issues with uploading pics make Bristlrdating a pain for the time being.

App crashes when hitting the back button. And/And or And/or back button returns you to top of list so you have to spend time getting back to the last beard you were judging. Tinder def has it with the swipe feature, lists are so last app. Great is you don't have to do anything but download to get perusing! And the beards aren't too shabby+

The problem with Bristlrdating is simply that there is no one on it. It seems to list people in order of there last login. I live in an urban area and I set my radius to 50 miles, yet somehow the third person it shows me hasn’t logged in in the past week.
Kick some money towards marketing. This could be enjoyable, but it’s a waste of time.

The thing that drives me nuts is you can't even message the people you are interested in unless you're lucky enough to have them heart you back. When you live in a rural area like I do, you have to expand the distance range to allow for more matches. But that doesn't mean the person you like will do the same for you, because they might already live in a big enough area and don't need to expand their search. Therefore they never even get to see your profile and they won't know you're interested in them unless they pay the stupid fee. I have already wasted money on dead alternative dating sites like this one and I am not doing it again. Bristlrdating has lots of room for improvement but the creators only seem to care about getting their money. It has so much potential if they would just put in the work. Don't waste your time on Bristlrdating unless you're planning to waste your money along with it. Otherwise it is utterly useless.

This is a great concept for an app. The specificity of it is awesome, and hits right home for a guy with a beard like me. Unfortunately, it's incredibly buggy, and the experience is pretty awful. Not only are there no filters on the results, but it doesn't wipe away the ones you've already viewed and rated. That means every time you come in, you have to browse through the same pages you've seen over and over. I've used it for two days and have gotten zero matches. I've used many dating apps, and this is the first time I've gone more than a few hours without a match. Hey, maybe beard lovers just don't like me. Or maybe, just maybe it's a pointless horribly developed app that doesn't actually work.

As a bearded man I really like the idea. It's really clunky and poorly designed though. I'm sure it'll get better with further development.

This is a rad idea, but I wish there were a way to separate based on sexuality... It's kind of depressing to flip through a bunch of straight guys knowing the vast majority of them wouldn't want to meet up.

Can't upload my own pics which is a critical part of this. The context is great though. If the developers put more effort into Bristlrdating (primarily fixing bugs) then it could really be big.

Bristlrdating seems to carry an assumption of heterosexuality amongst its users. There's no way to know the sexual orientation of guys that show up on my feed unless they explicitly write it in their profile. As a gay guy, the only option I have to filter the men on my feed is by showing only those who mention the word "gay" (or something similar) in their profile, and there's no guarantee that they'll do that.

I love the idea of Bristlrdating but I think it has to become more popular so there is a larger/better selection of people.
And I would like to know that I have some things in common with people other than the fact that I like their beard so a little questionnaire would be great!

A dating app with a beard filter, what more could a girl want? Needs to work on the flow of Bristlrdating and a few more filters as far as sexual orientation and such. But otherwise, I hope it takes off soon. Fun app

But still four stars for the concept and for a decent prototype.

What this really is, is a bad web view (broken back forward, as in you have to use the hamburger menu to get back to your main messages pane because they forgot to add a soft back button there like they did for profiles) of their website. If you really want to use this right now, just use the site in Safari, it is slightly more functional.

They have not yet implemented "can receive messages from everyone by default" or at least "let people know you won't get messages so you have to come back and heart everyone you might possibly want to hear from and hope they did the same for you". It's basically the tinder model but it doesn't apply as well here.

If you're having problems signing up, again use the website. At least you can message the user named "feedback" with your suggestions and complaints. I think it's just two guys at the moment so I will cut a little slack.

The idea is great! But there aren’t many people on here. I wen through all the girls in 2 days, and it’s been a month and I’ve only had 3 new girls appear. Since there aren’t a lot of users, not many people go on as there’s no one to look at.

For a prototype app, it has more bells and whistles than I thought it would.
This is a hilarious and functional app, bringing the bearded and beardless together to share their appreciation for facial fur. This prototype version is surprisingly packed with features, so it has nowhere to go but up. Give it time, and this will be a gem.

Bristlrdating knows what it's about and just has fun with it. There's a sense of humor to it that definitely gives it character.
Bristlrdating basically works like a cleaner okcupid, much more efficient and user friendly.
