LD - Premium Content Creator Reviews

I had been following this company for some time considering buying some of their overlays for computer based photo editing when I got a chance. But only recently found out about their app. I have to say LD is immensely impressive and sold me on their other products.

LD is a powerful tool to make your images more dynamic. I cannot recommend it enough. And if you are a professional videographer and/or photographer, definitely check out their more substantial adobe based editing effects.

LD has a single major flaw that makes it essentially unusable. You can't zoom the base, background image to assist with placing the overlay effect. You're stuck with your image crammed full scale onto the screen of your iPhone. Also, LD only works in portrait mode on the phone. So, you can't rotate the phone to work in landscape orientation, even if you're working on an image that was taken in landscape orientation. As a result, the finished product is, well, amateurish at best. Now, of course we're talking about using an app to overlay false effects onto an image. But if you want your results to look even remotely realistic, precise placement of the effect matters. And If you're lucky enough to be able to place your effect in the right spot, you can almost guarantee that, 9 times out of 10 when you lift your finger from the screen, the effect will move, if only just a little bit. That's not something one would expect from a subscription-based app that costs $12 per year to use. I recommend looking elsewhere.

I absolutely Love LD. Why? Because While I am editing my pictures, I take lots of sunset pictures and When the Sun Looks very distortioned, Even if I reduce the noise in Lightroom, or increase the highlights or Whites, I use Lens Distortion To Fix the Sun and I love it. I hate the Fact that you have to pay monthly for this, so i just use the basic but gets the job done! I had it before when I purchased everything but i lost ny account so i dont have it no more. Thabk you for making LD!!! I love it!!

This is a great app. I use it constantly to add an extra touch of emotion and atmosphere to a lot of my photos.

The major complaint I have is that I do everything on my iPad, from Lightroom, and Photoshop, as well as schedule and post to instagram through Later. I know there are other solutions, but ultimately if this app added horizontal support to an iPad app so I can stay on my iPad and Magic Keyboard, this would be a 5 star review. I’m not even asking for additional features! 😀

LD is amazing! It makes my photos into good quality photos! You won’t even need a professional camera, LD does enough to make them look better. Even though there’s a subscription plan for more features, the free version seems to be enough! It’s simple to understand and it’s really great for outside photos! You’ll be able to tell the quality between the original and edited photo ;)

I heard people talking about LD for editing digital art (3D renders and such). I hadn't really considered using a mobile app for editing, as I thought PC apps were generally more powerful. This is a clear exception to that. Even though most of the effects/filters are behind a paywall, the free ones are still extremely useful. I will be recommending LD to others.

Big fan of LD, I love it so much definitely brings my photos to life and really sets my photos apart from other artists in he social media world only negative is I wish that they had an app specially designed for the iPad because using the iPhone app on the iPad can distort the photo sometimes the photo doesn’t look as sharp as it should.
Obviously it’s not a professional app but if you are looking for something to make your iPhone pics cooler 10/10 would recommend LD!

This company has such a firm and vast understanding of aesthetics. From the overall layout/color within LD , to the quality of their overlays. I only found LD after first finding their Adobe After Effects and Photoshop packs. These filters are so organic and pretty sure exactly what everyone is looking for when they search for things of this sort. LD, and their other packs, will not disappoint.

First off, absolutely love LD. It's easy to use and simply adds the next level to photographs. I noticed upon launching LD today that it seemed a little sluggish while scrolling through the editing menu but maybe that's just my phone. I think it would be awesome to add some sort of before and after feature so you can see how the filter/s are effecting the image. Keep up the great work guys!

This is now my new favorite editing app for both photos and video color grading. While you still need something else to edit video with this is my favorite for a color correction and I also still use Lightroom occasionally for color correction of my photos but when you have the pro version of LD it is a photographer’s best friend!

I downloaded LD about a week ago and I have seriously fallen in love. So much so that I am now writing my first ever app review! I have been looking for something exactly like this for so long and it has everything I’ve been needing all while looking realistic. Highly recommend downloading!

I've only had it for a few moments and have only begun looking through effects. There are multiple categories, for example the "light source" effect and the "shimmering sparkles" effects or a "fog" effect. Each category has a few samples but then you must purchase more. BUT you can change each sample SO much (opacity, color, size, placement) that really you don't need any more. So far it is very satisfactory and I would recommend it to anyone!

I love the photo effects in this application... quality stuff. But I have found the navigation and editing process to be a little difficult. I don't like how the image is crammed into the very top of the screen. I also think the effects should scroll horizontally instead of vertically so the image I'm editing doesn't disappear off the screen while I'm browsing the effects.

LD has some of the greatest editing tools imaginable, and allows for some extremely cinematic and powerful images.

However, I have one problem, and that is the lack of more than 5 layers. It’s so annoying to have to screenshot your ‘finished’ photo, then open LD again, edit and create four new effects, and then do it all over until you have your finished product.

It’s not that hard at all to up the layer capacity to something like 10. It’s necessary for an app like this to have more than 4 layers with the huge amount of content and effects available to it.

Even cheap free apps that I’ve used in the past have 10 or unlimited amounts of layers to edit and create with, and now that I’m dealing with a professional and elegant editing app, I expect more.

The effects are fantastic and very high quality. The UI on iPhone has a lot to be desired. You need to be able to manipulate the image itself by allowing users to crop, zoom and rotate the base background mage. It needs to allow landscape in addition to the forced portrait orientation. It also desperately needs an iPad version. A ton of photographers use their phones and iPads as their main editing tool now a days. The effects are great. LD itself needs work.

I downloaded LD because I wanted something similar to Lightroom without paying the extreme amount. First yes I loved how you can add the fog affect just with you can erase the areas where you don't want the fog or mist. Second, when I tried to save the edited photo feeling good about how it came out, it would not let me save it. I edited a different picture and same thing, ugh frustrating. So here I am looking for another app that does the same.

I enjoyed LD for quite awhile, but when it turned to a subscription for all the features, I’m out. When will app devs understand that there are people willing to pay a little more now instead of paying forever? I’m so tired of subscriptions and I know I’m not alone in that sentiment. That said, it does do a very good job with light, filters, etc. I’m just not going to pay forever for an app. Let me buy it once please.

I am a Halo Screenshot artist, witch is someone who takes in game screenshots of the halo video games, I can not Recommend a better app, it makes my screenshots more clear and better 100% will be renewing my $20 version subscription once the time is up

This has been one of the best apps for my work flow! I love the cinematic feel it brings to photos! It editing seem easy and seamless. If you are on the fence, give it a try I don’t think you will be disappointed!

How can I use LD when it won’t even let me select my photos! When ever I click on a photo it tells me that there is an error and that I need to be connected to the internet which I am. I deleted and reinstalled LD a few times now and I’m still getting the same problem. But the few times it has worked I’ve been extremely happy with

Oh my word, the “Light Volume” light ray effects are amazing. Haven’t seen that in an app before. 🙌

Love the new interface that keeps the image in place when you choose an effect. That’s something they’ve needed to to do for a long time. And FINALLY now you can erase!

Addendum. Now you can't as a legacy user purchase individual packs. Now they make you do subscription. I already bought all but two packs why not let me just purchase the ones I don't have instead of charging me for access to ones I already have. Very frustrating.

I love the quality of these filters. Also THANK you for being free, with upgrade options. I hate all of these pay monthly or nothing apps. You are amazing thank you thank you thank you!

If only they made LD for videos too it would be even more perfect! this app, please add grads we can colorized to our choice and have the ability to adjust the feather softness.
