I’m tired of being ignored by diigo’s “priority support”

2023-01-18

This will be the third time I have been ignored by diigo’s support team. I have been a paying customer for two years under two separate accounts but I will be changing that to their free offering going forward. I’m not going to pay for something that I’m not receiving.

they hardly update this buggy app!

2023-02-19

Diigo used to be good but now it fails to keep updating, leaving its app full of unsatisfying features...

Great service, poor app.

2023-03-20

The Share feature appears to capture websites, but silently fails. The browser is worse than just using chrome. M wondering why I need to keep DiigoBrowser on my devices anymore.

I don’t get it

2023-04-21

The Diigo browser baffles me. Who actually uses it to navigate the web? I bookmark webpages from my computer or mobile safari and then I want to access my bookmarks library when I open DiigoBrowser . I don’t understand the point of trying to compete with Safari given iOS’s tight integration with it.

I get that viewing webpages in the browser enables functionality like highlighting. I love the highlighting feature. So I think it’s fine that bookmarks open in the browser. Why does the browser have to be the primary interface??

Now if DiigoBrowser were to sync with the Diigo desktop browser extension so that it showed all the websites I have open on my computer THEN the browser would be super useful. At that point Diigo would replace other solutions I use for browser tab management (like Toby).

What Happened!?!?

2023-05-22

This Diigo browser is really a step backwards. We lost about 80% of the functionality. Not worth it anymore.

Such value - wasted?!

2023-06-23

ETA: it’s been a while since the last major browser-focused updates and I’m still seriously missing the lost functionality. Please please just bring back clean mode w dark option. Pleeeeaaaase.

Diigo was the best thing since sliced bread, seriously. There was no intelligent reading online without it. But no more, sigh. At least not with the direction it’s heading - having shaved off priceless features like storing articles for offline reading and (in) a clutter-free reading view that allowed font size and background color adjustment.
Save Diigo! Save humanity!

I don't like this

2023-07-24

I have really enjoyed diigo in the past but this just makes it more difficult to get to my own content. Why did you do this?

Slow browser but great web highliter

2023-08-25

Slow browser experience...Am on an iPhone 12 Pro. Who wants to use a slow browser these days? Non starter, sorry. Fortunately we can use Safari (fast and private) along with the Diigo share sheet to bookmark and tag. There is an unfortunate bug which prevents you from jumping to page annotation from the share sheet but you can get around it by opening the Diigo app yourself (you will have to endure the Diigo browser home page and then head to your library and finally reach the bookmarked page you want to highlight. My criticisms aside, I am a satisfied Diigo customer: - Diigo is a fantastic tool for highlighting the web, but using Diigo on IOS is currently subpar in my experience. And, there is no evidence at all over the last year that progress is in the works (Crickets…)

Not too shabby

2023-09-26

Great way to organize my bookmarks. However, metasearch feature does not work and comes up empty every time. Can only perform search by tag. Also, PDFs saved to Diigo can only be displayed within DiigoBrowser . Will not display on mobile using Chrome or Safari.

I want to love this app, but...

2023-10-27

It's slow. The web app is wonderful. When I add or remove a bookmark on my iPhone or iPad, it shows up on the web within a matter of seconds. When I add something on the web, nothing happens in the iOS app, and if it does, only after I refresh, and that seems to take an unusually long time pretty much every time.

In the iOS app you have an option that we can select to save all contents as private. What I would really like is to also have an option to save all bookmarks as unread as well. This is crucial if I'm going to select the option to quick save without a bookmark window. When I save bookmarks for reading later, I want this to be a quick process that will be easy for me to find what I bookmarked for reading later.

Buggy - runs out of memory when it’s the only app running

2023-11-28

Really meets a need that I have, but doesn’t do the job well, crashing constantly. Not usable on large iPad Pro.

User friendly and somewhat helpful for doing work.

2023-12-29

I was asked to download Diigo and experiment with it to see if it could be a useful tool to have available in the classroom. After messing around with it and trying out a few things, it became pretty easy to navigate as someone who isn’t always a fan of technology and prefers simple instructions. When you first open it, it will ask you to either sign in or create an account (zero hassle there) and it will take you straight into a tutorial on how to add a new page to Diigo and then save an annotation or bookmark. Normally I don’t pay attention to tutorials because they are slow and point out unnecessary details but this one was quick and contained simple guided instructions.

At first I thought that the tutorial would be teaching me how to use Diigo instead of showing me how to save a bookmark which I didn’t really like because it was a little confusing. The actual instructions for how to use Diigo appeared at the end of the tutorial but I did not find that very helpful. Other than that DiigoBrowser is extremely basic and pretty much laid out for you so the only work you have to do is write the notes or highlight the annotations manually. Personally, this would not be my choice app to use because I prefer to quickly scribble things down instead of having to type out what I’m seeing or hearing so that way I don’t miss a step because I was too busy trying to fix autocorrect. Otherwise I would recommend this for all the detailed note takers out there that don’t mind having to type.

App delay after saving is too long

2024-01-30

I love almost everything about DiigoBrowser, and have been spreading it to my friends, but the one thing that drives me nuts is the long pause after I save each bookmark. It hangs on the “Saved” alert for far too long. I frankly don’t care that it was saved. I only want to know when it was NOT saved for some reason. And I’d happily accept the risk of a save being rarely lost just so I don’t need to stare at that “Saved” confirmation.

signs of life!

v 3.0 is a big step forward. Nice to have Multiple tabs 👍 But please 🙏 ...

EASY TO FIX
- Move "find in page" search box (and results navigation arrows) to BOTTOM of screen like every other browser b/c it is SO clumsy to repeatedly tap at top of screen to scroll through the results of a find

LESS EASY BUT MORE BETTER
- integrate my Diigo library results with my web searches (not only Google but alternative engines!) within DiigoBrowser , like you've done nicely for desktop browsers. That's SO handy.

- when sharing highlight/s (just one or all of a page's highlights) please please add quotation marks around each bit of highlighted text. Highlights are ALWAYS quotations, after all, and I'm sick of adding them manually. At least give users that OPTION in settings. (Ideally, any quotation marks already found in a highlight should be converted from " to ' since they become quotes-within-quotes. An app called ESSE does this nicely for iOS)

- Is Clean view gone forever? It was buggy as hell, but i miss its readability, night-mode colors and flexible font size.

Awesome

2024-04-01

I’ve been using it for years and love it!

Essential

2024-05-03

I use it every day for school and personal bookmarks and excerpts. The tagging is the perfect way to sort. Can’t live without it.

Best Research Tool For The Internet

2024-06-03

Very easy to use, and very useful in order to extract information from Internet publications. Organizational tools such as the outliners and data extraction are superb. I do research, Diigo is the core application for my work!

Buggy, Lacking

2024-07-05

I appreciate that there IS an app to access my Diigo account, but it needs work. First, it crashes every few minutes of use, just exercising its basic functions. Secondly, it does not support multiple accounts, like if you separate your work and home bookmark accounts. It hides the "Description" field which I really need because that's where I write my summaries for later reference (although you can show this field if you "edit" the bookmark). I tried using the sharing extension in Safari to send a PDF to Diigo, and it simply failed ("unsupported") even though that is an explicitly supported file type. I wish Diigo would get the basics right instead of worrying so much about Annotation and Highlight features.

Can’t function without Diigo!!!

2024-08-05

I’ve been using Diigo for years. I use all the color highlights to represent different sort of flavors of what I’ll highlighting. It’s so powerful and has been getting better and better!

Now that it does PDFs I’ve got a decade of a personalized library of my documents and all the cool things I’ve found in the internet!

Can’t use my kindle any more because it’s just not all cool as Diigo!

And cross-devices and browser’s works perfectly!
Keep up the awesome work!

Great Tool

2024-09-06

Diego is one of my favorite tools. It helps keep me organized especially since I have a hard time remembering the names of websites that I want to refer to other people or use myself. By adding tags I can find anything that I’ve seen and found a valuable on the web. I’ve also looked at others who have similar tags And found useful and interesting websites.

Very slow search and crashes

2024-12-18

It usually crashes when I try to search. The search makes the keyboard really unresponsive.
