GSVExplorer for Google Maps™ Reviews

Simple app not requiring a lot of additional steps to get to street view. Once in GSVExplorer , type in address. This will give you a high view of area. Tap the "man" icon and numerous man icons will appear. Click the icon closest to the address entered. Sometimes you cannot see the exact area, but the controls let you take a 360 view. You may also travel up and down a road. Sometimes this gets you where you want. Not perfect, but works better than Google Earth IMO. Highly recommend.

First of all, I love GSVExplorer so much. It’s a lot of fun for me to tap nearly anywhere and see places I’ve never thought I’d see. However, a few weeks ago I bought the pro version and I can’t get rid of it. Any time I tap a place I know has street view it says there’s something wrong and won’t load the place. It’s been happening since I bought the pro version. I haven’t been able to enjoy GSVExplorer in weeks. Please fix this or help me get rid of the pro version if possible. Thanks!

The street view doesn’t show, or the live street picture hasn’t been seen for a long time. Once in a blue it will pop up late at night and then the next day or time I put it on especially during the day that I need it the most to check an address of a place I need to go the street view picture is blank. I keep asking why it does this. I can’t understand what’s the problem. It’s very annoying. May I please know why this keeps happening?

The official app has too much stuff on the screen, it's too annoying to use and get into street view. GSVExplorer is definitely saved a few days of my life. Easy to use, aggravation free.

This is so much fun! Going on a cruise soon leaving from Quebec City and wanted to know the distance from our hotel to the cruise port. GSVExplorer let me walk the route. I think I will feel more confident making the trip because now I know what it looks like.

I needed to find an address I lost and had to get quickly. Downloaded this and couple minutes later I had the address. Thank you!

I was able to view remote places of my hometown that I’ve never seen before after living there for almost 40 years! I live in the Philippines by the way.

I really enjoy exploring the world from my sofa using GSVExplorer. It's really easy and fun way to see beautiful places around the world, including the insides of many museums! The interface works great for me.

I’m looking for a place to live in Pasadena & it’s great to be able to see places before actually going to see them. If it looks like a dump, I won’t bother.

GSVExplorer so far has worked just like I want it to, much better than the others. Keep it up.

I used this all the time, but suddenly it won’t display images anymore. Instead, you get error messages. I guess either the developers have abandoned GSVExplorer or there’s a serious bug in it that hasn’t been brought to the developers’ attention.

I really like GSVExplorer because if your like me where u can't fly on planes then u can see ANY Place u want, really!! Luv it thanks for reading 😘

I looked up places in the city I live in and the neighborhood hasn't looked like that in twenty years or more. Shopping malls list stores that are not there. How could I trust it for places I have never seen or been to. It is a novelty to look up parts of the world to see what they looked like before the present satellites but let's get it in the twenty-first century at lease.

It was amazing to return to old neighborhoods I had lived in as a young college student and newlywed.....some fifty years ago. Brought back many poignant memories.......

You can no longer view the street view anymore. No matter where you go, if you try to do street view, and error message appears saying “Oops something went wrong!”

The whole point of GSVExplorer is to see street view and doesn’t work. Please update.

Very good except for on re thing. I RARELY want it to start where IU live but it is constantly reverting back to that has home. Annoying when I am researching area!

I love GSVExplorer. It’s very easy to use. For some reason when I click on a street the street view picture says “oops something went wrong”. It just started happening. I don’t know why, but if it can be fixed that would be great!

It was great getting me out of Dulles Airport and on the right road.

I’ve used GSVExplorer for several years without any problems. For several months now it hasn’t been working, seems as the creators have decided not to fix the problem and toss in to the garbage, shame it “WAS” a good app.

I really do love GSVExplorer. But, I recently updated my phone and now the street view for GSVExplorer no longer works. :(
