First things first, the market is flooded with auto-reply bots making it difficult for small freelancers to compete.

On top of that, there’s no way to ensure you get paid. I did a job with someone who was “payment verified” but they have completely gone dark and offline, so now my account is at a negative balance from the fee on top of having spent hours doing a job and not get paid for it.

I’ve contacted customer support asking if it’s possible to cancel the fee, as I hate seeing my account be in a negative balance - None of which is my fault — why should I be penalized for the project owner NOT paying me????? Customer support sent me an automated reply email of all this BS which was completely unhelpful. I’m not disputing the pay, I’m literally asking if I can get my balance reset. I’ve had this app for months - I write long , thought-out bids — but I haven’t gotten a single “bite” due to outsiders who are willing to do the job for dirt cheap . Please find a way to localize jobs - US jobs for US freelancers.

This has got to be the worst app ever built in the history of app building. 0 stars

As a client looking to hire freelancers for several projects, this app makes it rather difficult to fully engage with talents on this platform. Which also begs the question, if there are talents on this platform, why wouldn’t the company hire them to fix this useless app?…. Are there really talents on this platform ? … I know there are multiple web and app developers on your platform… were they the ones that built this useless app? As you can see, your poor presentation and app development can have a direct or indirect impact on talents on your platform .. IF there are talents on your platform.
It is impossible to be on a desktop at all times.. this app is slow and not at all user friendly. It crashes at all times especially when attempting to view or respond to a message. What’s even worse is the desktop site itself is also slow and delayed with displaying messages.
Whenever the app does decide to work and let’s say you sent an attachment to someone, it does not show you that the attachment were ever sent. It wasn’t until I went on the computer that I realized I had sent 10 attachments of thesame things. I’m pretty sure the freelancer thought there was something wrong with me.

I wasn’t paid on a job, even though I worked hard on it. Freelancer said they’d try and get the money, but didn’t. They did, however, tell me that I should be more careful. So, if you feel cozy about using this platform, DON’T. They’ll leave you out to dry. I tried to close my account, but there was a 99 cent charge. I asked if they would credit my account, but they felt entitled to the 99 cents and wouldn’t credit it. So, that tells me how much value they have in their product. They’ll scrounge for 99 cents without taking any responsibility for allowing predators to take advantage of you.

Update from “developer response”: Customer service is still terrible and company focused at the expense of the artists on its platform. Don’t expect the company to have your best interest in mind. They only think about themselves. You’re just a dime a dozen.
