LegalShield, Law Firms On Call Reviews

I have technically had LegalShield since the beginning of the year, but in the past five months, they have been unable to link my account number to my account so I cannot use LegalShieldLawFirmsOnCall or website. I have spent countless hours on the phone. First, they made an error that did not allow the account to activate. Then, it would not accept the credentials for a few months. Finally, I had an account, but it is not linked to the actual account number so I cannot use the website or app. Their IT department started working on this one month ago. They have made absolutely no progress. I have spent money each month to spend hours on the phone with their customer service, explaining each time what has been done before. They will not communicate by email so the only way to talk is to go through this ridiculous phone process, which involves automated questions and copious hold time, then explaining everything yet again. It is insane. It is possible that the legal assistance is useful. I wouldn’t know. I haven’t gotten that far in the five months that I have had it.
Update: Here we are more than six weeks after I left this review and received the response that if I emailed this slightly different email address, they would solve the problem. I have emailed them multiple times, and the only response I have received in that time is that someone would be contacting me. If I could give less than one star, I would.

I recently was hit from behind while stopped for a traffic light. I immediately pulled up my app and followed the instructions for being involved in an accident. I took pics of everything and called my attorney. Everything went fine until the person that hit me refused to contact his insurance company and they refused to pay for damages. One letter from my law firm (included for the monthly service - no additional cost) and the insurance company direct deposited the money into my account 100% including a week of car rental. I love having an entire law firm looking out for ‘MY’ best interest. Member since 2009, we have called the law firm over 60 times and this service has saved or recovered over $22,000 for us. #legalshield4life

i originally contacted LegalShield to obtain advice concerning an incident involving human trafficking involving the the tulsa police department. i came across a victim of human trafficking while walking my neighborhood park in tulsa, oklahoma and i had three officers of the tulsa police department turn off their bodycams before coming to my home to retrieve and return her to a confidential informant of theirs by the name of elizabeth hamilton. the tulsa police department originally claimed their actions were justified due to a missing persons report being filed but later backtracked and admitted this to be false. i have had some extremely bizarre interactions with Legal Shields ever since contacting them about this incident and just yesterday had a phone conversation with the Riggs Abbney law firm in Tulsa that was unprofessional to say the least. Legal Shields corporate headquarters are locate in Ada, Oklahoma and if any of your legal troubles involve wrongdoing involving law enforcement in the state of Oklahoma then i suggest you use another service!

Save yourself the money and DO NOT join this product I only signed up so they could review a document a prenup I created myself! And they said they would before I joined I joined and the attorneys said they wasn’t allowed but for 300$ extra they could help me this is a Scam and not worth joining I swear on my life this has to be the worst company I ever put my money into!! And these reviews have to be FAKE! When you try to cancel they WILL not allow you to cancel they will tell you to email them and than still trying to charge you I would stay away at all cost !!!

I really appreciated how quickly and kind this company was on the phone but was VERY displeased about their “answers” to my questions .i have never had a license nor ever been able to have a license due to silly suspensions I got when I was under 21...but I surrendered and or acknowledged my “license” to my local DMV here in PA (it would be considered at DL-16) ...now that I am 23 and grow tired of asking for rides or use Uber all the time ,I gave these people 25 bucks for a month of service ...the lawyer told me that I never turned in anything and had to give him my records and restoration papers ...to his knowledge he told me I had not served any time at all...yet my eligibility is this same day next year ...he wanted me to wait a total of 5 more years before I could get my license “legally” back...not sure if that meant be a member of this program for 5 years , totaling to a 1600 dollars and wait till he could help or not but nonetheless I cancelled my membership immediately .JUST TELLING EVERYONE NOW.

We paid for this service for months. Times called for emergency use of needing an attorney to fight for us. We sent all documentation asked of us called immediately back the only two times we missed a call from attorneys just to have an email and letter sent to us stating they could never reach us and we did not get them documentation needed and this and that.

You must put in a call to the attorneys and then you wait and HOPE they call you back. It is not convenient by any means. We never got told anything to file or what we needed to file. No help answering our court documents and no lead as to what we could even possibly do. We 110% got the run around.

We would not recommend legal shield from our experience at this point and it’s very unfortunate because I could definitely see the potential of it all.

I just enrolled and paid by phone after talking to a very good sales agent. She sold me the service very well. I was supposed to receive my email confirmation in the afternoon (Friday...my bank account has been fraudulently frozen and I am traveling out of state without a credit card nor cash, I am a 50 plus woman with medical conditions) at least I would expect to receive a contact and start gathering info ASAP...when I called back I had the agent letting me know that the applications were processed as they arrive, and if my application is not processed today, it will be on Monday...except that Monday is holiday...so basically we went from a 24 hours help to a ....wait 4 days before starting anything...not exactly what have been sold to me...
I will of course come back to my comment for updates...hopefully their services will end up being worth it...

I was surprised at how many things the lawyers could help us with that I had never even thought about before getting the membership - the small day to day stuff, as well as the big issues. The lawyers don’t appear to be real lawyers.
The attorney we were speaking to hung up on us when I asked what law required the fee that he said we had to pay. Don’t understand why we aren’t able to ask questions and seek clarification about the things he is saying are true.
We also asked if rent increases were allowed. He said “yes”, but failed to tell us there is a limit!! We had to prompt him for the limitations and the whole time, he acted as if we were a giant nuisance, when he simply wasn’t doing his job.
Why are we asking him these things if he won’t give the real full answer? An absolute waste of time. Just absolutely a waste of time.

I’ve had simple questions and complex issues addressed by several different Legal Shield offices. They have always come through for me. The attorneys listen and gave me the time I needed to ask all of my questions. Even when I didn’t get the answer I wanted, I came away with information regarding my rights and my options. This legal service is a true bargain for families, businesses, truck drivers—No matter who you are!

You want to cancel your membership? Well you can’t online. You can pay them more money or sign up to pay them money on a monthly basis all in LegalShieldLawFirmsOnCall or online. To cancel you can’t online. You have to call customer service tell them you want to cancel then they try to sales pitch you into staying with all the benefits. Then after telling them yes I want to still cancel they say hold on I’m going to forward you to an automated message so you can get instructions on how to mail, fax, or email my request to cancel. These are all scam tactics to make it difficult to quit to keep you paying more money.

If you work like any other human on the plant this is a waste of money. Work 12 hour shift a day Monday- Saturday to provide for my son. I am having some legal concerns about him with his father and I called them hoping for some guidance and the lady pretty much told me there’s nothing she could do because they are not obligated to call after 5 after I explained to her I work till 6 and do not get a break for a time for them to cal back besides when I get off. She proceeded to get an attitude with me and tell me there’s not much they can do. A total waste of money. Do not recommend. They get back to you on there time and no other time than that.

LegalShieldLawFirmsOnCall needs work. My pain point is the “manage requests” section where all you can really do is stare at the status of your request without taking any action. We need to be able to take action right from LegalShieldLawFirmsOnCall to help expedite the request/consult process so that we don’t have to hunt our way to the proper place to respond to an attorney or upload necessary documents.

My first time using LegalShield, I was going through child custody. I called through other law firms before LegalShield & they wanted a $6k retainer that I couldn’t afford.
My friend shared this service with me and the result is they helped me win full custody of my son & I got my WILL and guardianship of my child with them. Parker Stanbury, the CA provider is AMAZING!
They’ve also written a letter to my phone carrier for overcharging me & got my money back. They’ve also represented me in court for my red light traffic violation & was able to get it dismissed & no points on my record.

I’ve used this MANY times in the last 6 years and I will NEVER Live without it!!

Being able to click on it and get my will done ✅ is huge! Then an attorney contacts me after to go over what I filled out plus give me a physical copy of standardized Will, that will stand up in court in case it goes there after I leave Earth, surely makes me feel good!! People pay hundreds to thousands to get this done and I pay just my membership for $1/day! You can’t beat that!!!

I had a time-sensitive work document that needed review. It took weeks of getting bounced around to different “referrals”, and the communication (or lack thereof) was atrocious: taking days at a time to respond, then calling from random numbers and not leaving voicemails, and then when I finally get in touch with someone, they seem to have forgotten about my existence entirely. And ultimately, still no assistance with the document review.
I cannot fathom relying on this should there ever really be an emergency. $30 a month for a lawyer?? That right there says it all. You get what you pay for, as they say.

After getting a new car, I signed up for commercial insurance because I was doing Uber/Lyft driving. Realized I was being overcharged, I wanted to cancel and switch. The insurance company was being difficult and would not budge. Found out about LegalShield and, after multiple letters written on my behalf, my policy was cancelled AND received a check in the mail! Thank you LegalShield!!

I use it all the time. Having my law firm in my back pocket at all times, all through an app has made life so much easier, and less expensive. Using the snap feature is currently saving me money on my car insurance because my lawyer went to traffic court for me, successfully negotiated the points off my speeding ticket, and he DIDN’T even send me a bill for it!

This is awesome you don’t have this you need it. I’ve gotten caught up things and I was starting to question if I would. It also costed nothing compared to anywhere else. A must have truly I’ve been finding more and more uses where normally I would have been avoiding situations. Get it today!

Attorney Steve Price—with Merritt Webb has gotten me out of speeding tickets and has given the best advice. And he is so nice when I’m on the phone with him!

I have many times used this service with mediocre results at best. I was given bad advice by a legal shield lawyer that led to me having criminal charges filed on me for going to see my children after they were taken from my home by my ex wife.
I used them when I was wrongly billed by a landscaper and sued because I refused to pay for services I didn’t get. The law firm was so slow to respond that the landscaper got the letter from the law firm on the day court was held. I could go on with more stories but I feel this service is only slightly better than having nothing.

.....for the middle class. It’s such a comfort to know that there is a program to protect the middle class. The poor get free legal advice/ defense and the rich can afford the fees.
We are the ones who get nothing BUT with legal shield we get the BEST advice and defense for our problems.
All for $25 a month!!!
