BirdsNearMe fulfills all my needs, with the exception of the never-loading audio files. The load wheel spins indefinitely, bird calls never actually play. 5 stars, otherwise...

Didn’t realize how valuable BirdsNearMe was until a recent bird trip in other side of country without. It’s so helpful to have when in unfamiliar area.

I love the premise of BirdsNearMe , however I submit lists daily through the eBird mobile app and I do t see any of my sightings reflected in this application. Therefore, since BirdsNearMe indicates it pulls data from eBird, I’m skeptical. I would be happy to revisit my rating once these concerns are addressed or explained satisfactorily.

Updating my review to give it a five star. The developer recognize the issues and everything was fixed for iOS 11. Now it is fun to use

I'm writing this review to let the author know the links to recordings don't work any more on iPhone 7 iOS 10.3.1. When I click links they blink but no response.

Otherwise a great app using eBird data.

Would be nice to have an interactive map where you could delimit an area to find what's there.

I downloaded BirdsNearMe specifically for the advertised radar capabilities. Where is the radar bird tracking tool? Otherwise, I like BirdsNearMe .

Good developer response. Quickly and easily review local bird sightings either in general or by notables. Everyone should have this.

Would be a great app if it worked-
Initially I kept getting 403 forbidden error and notified Gerry Shaw- no response; I trashed BirdsNearMe and bought it again.
It is now frozen at a prior location(Seattle) and will not relocate to my home (Maine)

This truly is a great app, especially because it's free. Every birder should have it.

I do have some commend though. I generally restrict my apps from accessing my location due to battery drain - can you improve the functionality for setting a location within BirdsNearMe and having it perform all the species calculations using those coordinates? I couldn't really get it to work without using my GPS.

This is a powerful and useful app - you can search for a listing of birds anywhere or near you. A great way to discover the birds near you and learn about this. There are links for each bird sighting so that you can see more pictures and learn about each species. I think this is a must for any serious or beginning birder.

BirdsNearMe offers for free what you would normally have to pay at least $10 for. You can browse eBird hotspots to find 'birds near you' and you can also browse sound and photo libraries. In some ways the interface for BirdsNearMe is better than some of the premium apps. Get it!

I was surprised by the Hotspots. Learned about several places to bird right around my home. Very helpful app. After using this, it’s time that I start using eBird and help others as this helps me. Thank you!

I like BirdsNearMe . I use it to plan what birds I will shoot.

I was excited about BirdsNearMe when first bought it. But what a waste of money! Good app when it works BUT...BirdsNearMe logs out, says ERROR and won't open. Have to constantly!!! uninstall app then reinstall it again for Hotspots to open. Waste of time.

Please let us pay or donate for this wonderful, useful, educational app.
