Using Cleaner on iPhone XR & it’s useless. Crashes. Takes forever AND then crashes. Most frustrating thing ever. It would be faster to hand write my contacts and have a first grader sort through & merge them. I upgraded to full & might be even worse.

I paid for the full version and had high hopes. Cleaner proved to be very difficult to use with a non-intuitive interface and confusing instructions. In addition, it crashes all the time (using an iPhone 8s, 256 GB) and often these crashes are while making big updates which left my contacts data in a messy state. I was trying to clean up 2700 contacts, many of which were duplicates or had slightly different data. In the end, I did this work manually on the desktop using the Contacts app and that was actually faster and more reliable than using this buggy app. A waste of money, unfortunately.

Just downloaded Cleaner for the second time. Again, even with a different phone it freezes to where you have to Close everything up restart your phone go back in and try again. Frustrating.

I have been fighting with my contacts for a long time. Fields go missing, contacts get duplicated six times, and others are lost all together.
After spending hours investigating I discovered Cleaner is the root of my problems. It buts data in different fields creating essentially new contacts. Names, numbers, address, emails, all of it including notes get jumbled. I used different software and have had no issues since.
If you use one OS and one program I’m sure it will be fine. Otherwise don’t risk it.

It certainly seemed promising when I first tried it out! The program successfully found all exact duplicates and deleted them.

Next, i endeavored to find partial duplicates and merge them. Here’s where it got strange. I was given a big list of options. It was impossible to tell which were free and which were not. I did not pick any of the options and simple clicked “merge”.
I was then prompted to make some sort of purchase without knowing a price.

Sorry, no can-do.

I may very well could have considered this application if I knew the price or I could have found it somewhere. But, it's extremely well hidden if it's there at all.

Can't anybody write a program and tell Consumers how much it costs before they download it anymore?

That would be very refreshing and a welcome change.

started getting a lot of Half crashes.
App doesn't quit completely but goes back to the home screen and runs in the background but does not complete.

let's be straight up here. you can really only use the multiple delete function of Cleaner when you download it, and all of the rest of the functions are just demos of what you get when you pay. however this seems to be a highly rated, and well functioning application. i'm sure there are plenty of other ways to merge contacts without paying, but being frustrated in doing so made Cleaner worth the purchase for how well thought out it is. I originally only downloaded it for a way to quickly delete all the contacts I no longer had a need for, but soon discovered just how screwed up my contact information and duplicates ended up after years of an organized use.

Because of a sync bug with a CRM add-on, my contact database should have been around 5500 but had grown to over 12,000. I would have been almost impossible, but certainly horrible to clean this up manually.

I paid the $3.99 or whatever for the full boat version and began cleaning up my mess of duplicate contacts. The program does what it should and I’m happy. One limitation I noticed was it wasn’t able to handle more than 701 duplicates at a time. I found I needed to rerun each clean-up multiple times until the program found 0 contacts that met the duplicate search criteria I was using. If you’ve got a stupid amount of duplicates like I did, keep an eye on this and make multiple passes.

Being frustrated over iOS 11.4 not allowing convenient deletion of selected phone contacts, I quickly discovered this jewel! Simple clear UI made deletions trivial....and I’ve only scratched the surface of Cleaner’

Finally, an app that did what it said it would do right out of the gate. Nice!

Had a lot of address lists all over the place. Cleaner did a great job putting everything in one place. Was pretty simple to use.

Is there a feature to import my contacts in iPad to my iPhone?

I downloaded Cleaner, and within 5 minutes, was able to delete over 3,000 duplicate contacts. Super easy to use, quick, easy, and FREE!! This is what I was looking for.

I like Cleaner because it is fast and easy and it gets rid of old contacts of friends that moved or something like that.
