Hi all. This is a great app, but much like baseball statistics, it’s appreciation is found in understanding what it can do, and what it does. It is not here to tell you what rumors are true, and which ones are not true, but rather to report the rumors, and let you sort it out. In that regard, it’s a really great resource for collecting what’s being said about baseball. However, if you assume that it only prints what is “true“, you will be disappointed. Also, if you let yourself get personally involved in the comments, you will entirely lose your focus on what the site is about. The site is not about you, the commentor. The site is About reporting baseball rumors. Whether you choose to believe them or not is your issue, but whether you choose to believe you are more important then the reported rumors is your own fault.

I enjoy TradeRumors and use it constantly during the season, and two/three times a week in the off season. I mainly follow my teams but occasionally wander off into other teams if a name or headline grab my attention.
The articles are well written, and always provide accurate information. They are also short enough to hold my attention and I never get bogged down in them. It is well researched, well sourced, and a pleasure to read.
I cannot imagine what they might do to improve it, and I hope the don’t try. It is wonderful as it is right now.

I know this can only be so helpful if a review since it'll end up being vague, but they're writing and analysis is excellent. Especially the writing. Wish I could name a name or cite a piece but can't off the top
of my head. I'm there for baseball only, so not sure about the rest.

For context I read fangraphs and MLBTR, but don't play fantasy so it's not like I'm a total head. It's really a great site. TradeRumors is....fine? No complaints, but nothing dazzling though I wouldn't know a good app when I saw one. Just here for the content.

Solid app version of the website (and even better in some ways). Love using it to follow what my teams are up to in both the offseason and during the season as well. They do an amazing job of collecting stories from every news outlet and posting them regularly and quickly. Only (small) complaint is that like some others have mentioned, the links to player bio pages don't always work in TradeRumors . You have to hold it down, and copy and paste into your web browser. If they fix that, updating this back to 5 stars.

I check this site multiple times a day, seeking news from my teams or leagues. Although ‘Rumors’ is part of the title, news is anything but rumors. Each tidbit has solid sources — building a level of credibility that can be often missing from internet sites. Plus, there are often mentions of minor-league guys, which can be harder to find.

All told, a winning combination!

I think of myself as an atypical sports fan (I don’t pay attention to sports or teams other than my hometown baseball team). Trade Rumors pretty much singlehandedly has transformed me from a avid, but not terribly knowledgeable, fan into year-round baseball fanatic. It provides both an ever evolving education as well as loads of entertainment (the sports geeks who are constantly squabbling with each other in an ongoing contest to prove their knowledge prowess is no end of fun). I ❤️ TradeRumors.

By far the most reliable, up to date, sports app out there. Would love for them to make some updates to make TradeRumors more modern. Also seems the news has started to not come out as much which tells me they have not been as active. Really love this website and app though, even willing to work or volunteer with them. Just need to show me some more drive!

Back in the day of newspapers...i read the transactions columns all the time. I felt lost without that when i stopped my paper delivery for years. I love this app. It gives quick snippets of that is going in with hyperlinks to the stats so i can make my own opinions and better learn the players involved. A must for a diehard sports fan. Its also very fast to publish the latest transactions

I’ve been using this app religiously on mobile and web for many, many years. Especially when it comes to the MLB off-season. Obviously, it’s easy to ignore and write off but the comment section seems to be one of the most toxic things I’ve seen, and I am a avid gamer and twitch streamer. That’s probably the only thing preventing me from giving it a 5, maybe implementing a full time comment moderator.

The reviews and stories are great and I’ve loved coming to the site for years. TradeRumors is super great and I really want to thank the developers for giving the option to close comments. It’s why I love being a pro subscriber and if you’re any kind of sports fan I recommend this site and the pro subscription is a great way to support the site.

I have followed this site off and on for over 10 years. They have always had great content. The addition of TradeRumors and the ability to have notifications sent to your phone is amazing. TradeRumors has been put long enough now that most of the technical stuff has been figured out and it is super user friendly.

I really like the Trade Rumor app! It is simple and straightforward; the articles don’t take you somewhere else which I hate and the layout of TradeRumors makes it the best sports app out there. I wish they had a baseball or whatever news option as not everything is covered under the title of trade rumors. In other words I love it so much I want more content!! Thank you!

First of all, let me say I love TradeRumors. Great source of sports news, especially for my favorite sports and favorite teams. However on my iPhone reading the stories gets a little challenging as the font size is so small and the older I get the worse my eyesight gets. Please consider having a font setting that will allow me to increase the font size when reading the stories. Thank you!

I’ve been using this app for four years now. It is super user friendly. I can have whatever news I want, as I not only filter it down to a league, I can filter it down to get the news just of my team and my favorite players. The series that are really well done I can add as well, so I can really see whatever news I want, and always keep up to date!

This is definitely a 5 star app if you’re looking for sports news and rumors. Anyone who gives it a 3 or 4 have their expectations too high and anyone giving it a 1 or 2 don’t have a clue what to expect or work for a competitor. Someone please feel free to tell me about a better app of its kind. I don’t expect a reply to that request though.

I love Trade Rumors. It’s a one stop app for the latest information on baseball, football, and hockey. The staff keep up on important stories from web sites around the country and Twitter. I don’t have time to bounce around the web so having one source for solid information on my favorite teams and sports is great

Found and followed MLB Trade rumors back when it was just a website. Then they began covering football & others sports as well as developing TradeRumors . Any time there’s news or trade rumblings in any sport, I check here first! If these guys aren’t reporting on it yet, likely it’s not happening. They keep it to real rumors, not just talk amongst fans or far fetched scenarios. I HIGHLT recommend this to every sports fan I come across.

Staff does a great job of compiling baseball news and writing articles. It is advisable to stay away from the comments section, as it’s surprisingly loaded with typical internet commenter toxicity. Once in awhile, it’s not a bad place to visit if you are questioning your intelligence. You can find a big group of people most likely much dumber than you.

I have been following mlbTradeRumors for years. The content is comprehensive and it’s a great aggregator of the latest sports transactions and stories. It is the number one source for sports information. TradeRumors is well designed and easy to use. My only complaint would be polls do not show up on TradeRumors . Otherwise I can’t live without it.

Whether you’re in it for fantasy sports or real sports - this is TradeRumors I’d download first. Keeps you ahead of your competition (or your friends in the group chat) with news as it comes out - not just headlines or tweets either, full articles delivered rapidly as big news breaks

These guys are great as a one stop shop for keeping up on all the news and rumors in pro sports today. Very cleanly organized, great job at keeping info up to date, a little nice analysis. The biggest problem is the comment sections. They weren’t always so bad but lately they have turned to pure poison. Lots of trolls and just generally mean spirited people attacking everyone. Get moderators.

Hey guys, TradeRumors is amazing keeps me posted on everything NHL and NFL related. TradeRumors is by no means 100% accurate with all its content but it helps give you and understanding of what’s going on with your favorite teams, as well as with entire leagues. I would 10/10 recommend TradeRumors to any die hard fan of any sport. Keep up the good work guys you are doing great.

App has worked perfectly aside from the usual crashes it experiences after every handful of updates. Things happen. But now I can’t tap a player’s name and be redirected to their stat pages like I’ve done this whole time. Instead I’m forced to hold down on the name to take me to Safari which is very annoying. Hope they fix that issue.

I want to rate TradeRumors 5-Stars since it’s the only one I can honestly say I read every day. The problem though is their inability (or unwillingness) to remove the venomous comments people seem compelled to write. Much of that is political and has no place on this site, but it’s gotten worse lately. Not the first complaint they’ve received about this.

There’s really not much good baseball info or theories here. Just a site dominated by ignorant fans who keep throwing up their rhetoric.

TradeRumors is dominated by arm chair general managers who can rationalize any of their opinions as statements of facts. They gang up on people who challenge their regular ragging and whine to get those opposed to be restricted or banned.

Yet the spineless mod(s) support their buddies to the point of looking the other way when down right nasty comments are made by their clique. A few times during the hot stove season they looked the other way and let anti Semitic comments stay up.

this app always has had the best information I’ve found. Especially right around trade deadline they have had announced trades before you can see it many other places. Love how I get notifications to my phone so I can be updated every second

For anyone interested in the business side of baseball, this is a must-have app. I can quibble with some of the editorial choices (“subscription required and highly recommended”), but TradeRumors ’s simple design is a breeze to navigate and lets you get right to the info you want.
