Broke WiFi Connectivity

After several hours of troubleshooting my router,AP and my wife’s xR, it appears that Rummy is breaking WiFi connectivity if you use pihole on your network. Lots of apps bypass ad blockers with hard coded DNS but this one is disconnecting the device from WiFi completely. Device refused to stay connected to WiFi for more than about 40 seconds while Rummy was in use. None of the 25 other devices had any issues. Verified router firmware and reinstalled, AP firmware, iOS up to date, found a huge list of DHCP timeouts from my wife’s xR, removed Rummy and she’s back on WiFi consistently.

Don't pay for this version.

Frankly, both versions have WAY too many options. They probably cause multiple problems, 1 of which is, when purchased, it does not overlay the version with adds. Instead, it creates it's own version. Then, after choosing my options, it refused to recognize the fact I melded all cards to go out. It kept telling me I must do so despite the fact I had. After turning that option off, I was able to meld all the cards to go out, thus winning the hand.
Again, don't buy this game. If you don't want adds, just turn off wifi or cellular.
In its attempts to be politically correct, it won’t recognize names as being male or female. One of my “opponents “ I’ve named Samantha. Game calls her “he/she whenever she melds ahead of the other three.

Playing computer is ridiculous!

It’s next to impossible to win against the computer at Advanced level or above. Even when I’m ahead by a couple hundred points, the computer goes Gin and I’m stuck with a 200+ hand.

On the times I’ve gone out and they’re holding all their cards (whether I go Gin or not), they’re holding maybe 90 points in their hand. I don’t think they’ve ever had a hand with more than 100 points.

I think maybe I’ve won 5 games on Advanced. I played a game where the score was about 70 for me and 460ish for them. They went Gin 3 times in a row, each hand for me was roughly 200 points.

Major glitch

I’ve played 490 hands so far of this version and the only issue I have with it — and its a big one! — is that occasionally the drawing will go on eternally without a card being played. There’s no way to end the game or even “throw” the game for it to end!

I’ve just screenrecorded 30 rounds where the same cards were being drawn and discarded (I had one card left, the other three AI players had 4, 3, and 4 card left, respectively). I started recording after 15 rounds of this (so 45 total rounds) and finally started discarding every card I drew to give my opponents whatever they needed to win...to no avail.

I play the Expert level and have won 49% of the hands, so I’m not complaining about fairness or the like, only that this glitch is enough to make me consider finding another this app app.

MimitoColt

I just started playing this game few months ago and look forward to playing after i unwind from the day. However i upgraded my phone snd certain advertisement games now (especially sa Halloween game ad) showing up locks my game or i can’t exit out of it no choice or exit symbol. Then it makes (forces) me start a brand new game in the middle of a game very irritating. Then it brings me to App Store directing me in to downloading the stupid game i don’t want that wouldn’t let me exit!! it took 5 minutes or longer to for choice to exit …no exit available and locked everything now i hate playing this game with all adds and this stuff and I’m not usually a game person so i will find another game please fix this!!

AI issues + multiplayer charge

Playing the elimination solo games can be frustrating when the AI players do not draw strategically. Several times I’ve had to draw/discard over and over for over, one time it took more than 100 turns before the AI finally played a hand and discarded out, ending the game. None of the piles on the board were playable and I only had one card left, meaning I couldn’t make 3 of a kind or a straight, nor could I draw a card that was playable on the board. The AI players had 3-4 cards left, they just took forever to finally build a straight/3 of a kind to put down. Also annoyed that multiplayer games cost money beyond one game per day. I don’t know what justifies a charge when there are already so many ads.

Deals/Play is Not Random

As others have said, it’s very obvious that the game is designed to give favorable hands to push certain outcomes. So many games have a clear “winner” determined that will get multiple gin hands in a row to catch up while you get trapped with a hand you can’t come down on. It happens too often and too predictably to be random dealing. I’ve played and won hundreds of hands of this app, this is not a case of me being bad and upset, it’s just not random.

Customizability and play is fine, but if you’re looking for an actual random game that simulates real this app this is not it.

Robot Won’t Compete

I was really enjoying this game but lately I’ve noticed that the robot opponent holds back laying down cards to open. I just don’t get it. After about 3 or 4 turns I went out before the robot opened, giving me 100 points. When I looked at the robot’s hand, there was over 120 points just sitting there. Why? This was not the first time the robot didn’t play. I just don’t get it, and it’s certainly not fun playing against nobody. (I don’t like to play with real people, so always play solo.) Please fix this! UPDATE: I think it only happens in expert mode. I lowered the bar to intermediate and it hasn’t happened again, BUT I’m still winning every hand easily. A little challenge would be nice.
AND ONE MORE THING: where are the rules for the different versions?

Game is great, the ads inappropriate

I downloaded Rummy for my child. The game is fun and we both enjoy playing it. However, the ads, which I can not figure out how to remove (probably user error, not an app issue), are completely inappropriate. Ads such as "naughty date" and "wish", which have images of women that are near pornographic in their positions, their clothing revealing. Again, no problem with Rummy . It is easy to navigate, has flexible settings and images are easy to see. But the ads....

I don't understand

So how I've always played this app, your "melds" count towards your points and anything left in your hand when a player goes out counts against those points.

In this game, it seems that I'm getting zero points when I go out first (which I've tried to change) and im also not getting any points when I don't go out. I just don't understand how to actually win. Hopefully someone will see this and can explain.

Fun and Frustrating

I’ve been playing this game a lot, and on Solo Advance Elimination 4 Player, I either win going away, or the other players will go Gin multiple times in a row to catch up and win. I once played a game where 2 players were eliminated and I played over 40 hands going back and forth with the remaining “computer player”, until I finally gave up. Or I will be playing with the last remaining “computer player” only to be beat because it quickly goes Gin after 4 draws multiple times in a row. No way that should ever happen and it drives me nuts

So Close...

I have been playing this game for several years. It has such potential but.... it is obviously a templated game. Either that or the games shuffler is a mechanical simpleton. I have had 6 eights dealt in a row. After two hands, in most cases you can tell if you are going to win or not. In five hands out of seven I was caught in my had by one opponent going out three times an another going out twice. Enjoyable but it could have been so much better.

Might as well play with physical cards and a table

If you aren’t in the same house as your Game Center friends it will not allow you to play with them. You have to be “local” as in “in the same house” making the play with friends “multiplayer” option completely pointless unless you have no room for a table or don’t own playing cards. My grandpa and I was trying to find a this app app that would alolow us to play with my mom while she’s still at home and we’re at grandpa’s. Other then that and its confusing scoring system, it’s a decent game but if you have to be in the same house you might as well just use real playing cards and a table.

The computer-player doesn’t always play fairly.

If there is too much of a spread in the scores, the computer-player will Gin repeatly to catch up, then win. There was one time I counted eight Gins in a row. Can’t be that lucky!

Other times, the computer-player’s hand shown at the end of a game could have easily melded the required value of cards but didn’t, and we were not playing Gin this app.

I love playing, and play a lot, but don’t enjoy the game as much if I feel the computer-player isn’t playing an authentic game.

Needs better visual of hearts received

I’m still learning, but no on screen visual of hearts already received by players makes it harder for us non-card-counters.
Just add it under each name.

I also experienced each player running the gin for 26 points for each other player. If you give them each names keep the deals and independent actions true for all 4 players.

Noise

I love this game and Rummy. However, it won’t allow you to turn the sound off on the ads. I like to listen to podcast while I play, and every time it goes to an ad the podcast stops playing so the ad can play. Recently it stops playing the podcast every time I open Rummy . I have other card game apps that don’t do this. Just wish they could fix this somehow.

Obnoxious ads

I get why we need the the ads, that’s fine. I refuse to pay for a card game on my phone. What I don’t like are the ones that don’t close out easily, or the ones that have sound when I deliberately have my sound turned off. Some of us play this when they’re trying to get their babies to sleep. A loud guitar riff from an ad is not helpful.

The game itself is perfect.

My favorite game!

I come back to this one over and over! I really have to think about which card to play. This is evaluation, one of the highest levels of thinking on Blooms Taxonomy. I like it that the AI do not cheat like I have found in some of the games I’ve been playing. After a while in the other games, the Ai cheat so bad, it is impossible to win! This game is fair, so far. I’ve also played it online with a friend. It worked well!

Bought game. I thought adds were still present but was wrong.

When you purchased the game, it downloads another version on your phone. So then you have two versions on your phone one with the purchase and one without the purchase. After I purchased it, I kept playing the one without the purchase, which made me think the ads were still present. Make sure to play the one that you. I’ve never had to do that with another app so perhaps something the developer may want to look into.

I LOVE IT!!! ❤️

I play this game all of the time. It's perfect for staying relaxed in long lines. Or while riding in the car 🚗 (as a passenger, of course). Especially when the one that's driving is getting on your nerves 😉 (those of us that are "control freaks"). Just download it, you'll see. It's a winner. If I could, I would give me stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
