Was not what I expected

I am trying to convert GPX files so I can route on google maps and GPXViewer did not work for me

don’t waste your money

didn’t work. couldn’t open gpx files on my iphone… waste of two bucks.

update after “developer response”… sorry mates… not worth the hassle for a couple bucks… fix your app rather than complaining about your paying customers. app should work out of the box, at least for viewing a gpx… simple thing… it’s GPXViewer ’s name. downloaded another app (a free one, at that) which worked out of the box. don’t charge for your apps then expect your customers to debug for you.

Doesn’t work

I bought this to view my 4x4 maps and I get an error saying it fails to import the gpx file and permission is not allowed

File transfer error

The file import feature just does not function. Without the ability to import gpx files app is worthless.

Unstable not user friendly

Sometimes it will
Open a file other times not. Sometimes you can zoom in and out other times it crashes. I wish someone would make a decent GPX app. This is not it

Useless for Garmin GPX files

Won’t let you view actual route generated in BaseCamp on your iPad - gives you straight lines between waypoints. Support says you have to process Garmin GPX files thru a program called gps-visualizer which is cumbersome and didn’t work for me.

Can’t open local files

Attempted to open a .gpx file saved to phone. Error message: “you don’t have permission to open file [path to file]. Try using the cloud instead”

Please support Google Drive

I was not able to test GPXViewer...

Please add the ability to change unit

GPXViewer is OK to use, very cheap compare to all other apps that offer the similar feature. However I cannot change the unit from Imperial to Metric. Please add a button so I can switch to Metric system. Thanks

Edit: after I change my phone location to a metric country, the unit in GPXViewer did switch to metric. However I want to keep my current country and be able to change unit with a button or switch inside GPXViewer .

Thank you for replying.

I like this app

It took a bit to figure out how to load the GPX files only because it was the first time I had to use the iOS file system. It was a short learning curve and I am using the iCloud for storing my files.

Any way to fully download a map so it is usable when there is no phone service

I really like GPXViewer and it does most of what I’m looking for. Only problem is when I was out of cell range any area of the map that I had not zoomed in on was unavailable. Is there any way to download a complete map of the defined area for offline use?

Looks good

Just got started and it is working so that is a good thing.

Can’t see files uploaded

Great app.

Using it for tracking our club snowmobile trails. Can’t beat it for for $.99.

Great for MTBing

Works great with Strava. Helps me explore new rides with less fear of getting lost.

Easy to use

Intuitive and to the point. Thanks for creating this.

Excellent

Using it to import waypoints on freshwater lakes. Marking bottom structures like boulders, cribs, logs, sunken boats, etc.

Performs well

Very stable. I imported a variety of GPX files directly from url's and it worked very well.

Changing between road and satellite maps also allows for easy ground checking.

Worked Like A Charm!

Perfect little app at the right price! Exported GPX files from Garmin Basecamp on the iMac and imported from the iCloud. Very quick and easy to do. I really like the multiple options for base maps on which to overlay the GPX routes.

Awesome little tool to show others your path of travel.

Good interface overall

I needed something easy to view GPX files for a motorcycle route. My one complaint is that the track color is 100% opaque, so that you can’t read the name of the road you’re supposed to be following. If the track/route highlight could be either transparent or rendered behind the road labels, I’d give it 5 stars. — And now it has this feature. Well done, thank you!
