my friend and I were looking for something to sorta hack our schools system in a way. we needed to speak at night while her phone was not able to be kept with her. so I went on a search.. and then *ta da* I found this app. a beautiful set up. a cute chat room. clear audio. I love. corona can not stop us.

The application handles video calls better than Chrome, which causes the fan to spin hard, and Safari, which doesn’t require as much CPU.

However, Whereby desperately needs some way to save a list of rooms. I hate having to first setup a business link then set the room every time I want to join a call. Please add this feature!

I was using Room until they closed down and this is a good replacement, if not better. The only thing I don’t like is that it prompts for “how did you like the video” after every disconnect. There is a Skip button but it’s still a little annoying. Other than that it’s great!

Just wish there was a way to turn the sound completely off as I am not always in the room alone.I have tried everything and not figured out how to do this.

I have the iPhone 7. It is extremely choppy...to the point where it takes 5-10 seconds for Whereby to respond. When it does finally respond, half the time it doesn’t do what you asked it to do. I have sent incomplete messages in the chat log, switched to other apps when trying to select one of the options on the bottom of the screen, the list goes on. I even rebooted my phone and closed all other apps. The problem persisted.

So so so easy and smooth to use. Love Whereby on my iPhone and my laptop. Sometimes it has an issue with Bluetooth audio - when connect to my wireless headphones I can’t hear anything and they can’t hear me. But usually it’s fine.

I use it from my IPad Pro and would love to have the functionality of sharing my screen so that I can draw stuff in notes using my pencil while brainstorming.

Easy to use. Get it in Whereby Store.
Easy to Navigate. Chat function to write other participants. Choice of camera on/off, & Microphone on/off.

I know this could probably be expected from video chatting things but I’m actually 12 and a LOT of predators has asked me to go on here. I just looked to up to see what it is and now I know why they wanted me to go on it now. Idk how you could fix this problem but maybe you can put like a warning before you go into video chat or something..

this app is a little like zoom. The only problem I’ve had is that the virtual backgrounds don’t come up. If they did, I would change this to 5 star.

I take my piano lessons via this app, and it’s working out great, I can’t wait to see my teacher in person but this is the next best thing.

I think that you should have a timer for how many hours that you have been on appear, but overall Whereby is good

My friends and I enjoy playing online MahJongg and with the this app App, we can see each other. It’s wonderful.

I have been using for years and loved how it was multi platform and easy to use. But the newest update makes it impossible to use. Me and my friend today tried to use and after an hour gave up
Time to look for a new app, just when you thought Skype was garbage

Have been using Whereby for several months with companies in EU and US and have had excellent outcomes with clear connections and relatively infrequent disruptions.

I don’t think we should have to pay for more rooms or have more people I think it’s pretty bogus

I’ve had a pretty good experience with Whereby , my only complaint is that when I exit and re-enter Whereby I can no longer type in the chat.

The least glitchy video chat I’ve ever used. Keep up the good work : )

Has made talking with my friends after school a lot better.

This is a good app to FaceTime your friends I don’t have pro but it’s good quality for me 10/10

It works great on my phone but, on my tablet an my Pc their is no join button for my tablet or Pc

Hey I can see only two of the people I’m trying to contact the 3rd is just a black screen and I’m on iOS using an iPhone 7 any ideas on how to fix this ?

By far the most reliable and effective VC tool.

Whereby was okay at first but now after using it it’ll cut off every minute or so for about 20 to 30 seconds. Also it gets choppy and I have the iPhone X.Not worth it.
