Am unable to remove AlertsPro. Don't want it but cannot get rid of it. Does not uninstall.

Annoying and incomplete

AlertsPro will annoy you with notifications over, and over, and over for the same alert. Even if you have opened AlertsPro and viewed that alert already. Once is enough for me.

The other problem is that, for most alerts, you don’t get to view the entire alert. For some reason, the text field that contains the alert seems to be limited to a certain number of characters. If you want to read the whole alert, you need to use someone else’s app or go to the NWS website.

Cringeworthy

How can an app be this bad?!
Zooming in/out on map premium feature? Really?
Can’t even tap on an alert to see details? Details premium feature? Really? Who thought dropping a pin in the middle of the map would be a good idea?
Map legend in more tap?
As an app developer myself AlertsPro makes me cringe using AlertsPro seeing it have a 4.4 star rating? Is everyone that blind?
The data presented in the right way would be extremely useful. Unfortunately, the way AlertsPro utilized the weather data is sub par.
Don’t monetize feature that should not be monetized! Use apps and actual valuable extra features to use for in app purchases, but not things like zooming that are expected by anybody using an app that uses a map to display their data.

One of the best weather apps

I’ve used a lot of weather apps in the past eight years. This is got to be in the top five. Very accurate and easy to use.

Good companion app to Weatherpro

I like it, as it provides extreme weather warnings that supplement other information, but add the alert status to rapid changes.

Alerts Pro

Great application for weather alerts.

App still needs fine tuning

It's good that the Devs decided to include push notification with the normal purchase price of AlertsPro . Without them AlertsPro was a non-starter. And I do understand the challenge of finding the right balance of regular and premium features. Having said that, I will never be a fan of being reminded EVERY time I tap on certain icons that it is a premium feature...especially the pinch, spread two finger gesture. Touch screen users use that gesture like breathing. It's impossible to remember that when using this ONE app it will cause a massive splash screen to appear with a reminder (for the hundredth time) that the two finger gesture is a premium feature. Devs, surely you can come up with a better way to promote your premium service.

One last point, I recently went on a long road trip. Looking at the map I could see that I would be driving into severe weather because those areas were colored. But there were no icons to let me know what kind of alert. Heavy rain...excessive heat...tornado...zombie apocalypse...? My only option was to find cities within the alert areas, add them to my "favorites", and then check the list of favorites to see what the alert was for. That is crazy! Why can't AlertsPro contain the symbol for the type of alert within the colored area? Or is that a premium feature too?

I really like this company's products overall. But this alerts app still needs some fine tuning to compete in the very crowded weather app genre.

Checking it out

I'm still checking it out but 2 things
1. The comment about the dev not being very good with English... So what! Do you speak every language perfectly? I'm sick of hearing people complain about someone not speaking English good enough. Pompous ****
2. Cold weather is important, but do you really need an alert for that? Doesn't a 5 day or even 10 day forecast show you it in advance already? A rabid dog is out on the loose is something to alert about. A mad snail attack probably isn't going to make the alert system go bonkers. ****Update**** I'll visit back after I've seen AlertsPro more. Sorry, but roasting the devs on their English got me a bit riled.
****Update**** Can't zoom in enough on the maps. Need to purchase premium to really use a lot of the features. Many of the free apps will show you the past hour of activity on the map, but this one needs the premium. Not as important but would be nice. If you tap on a warning and it shows you the map, it will not allow you to zoom in or out unless you purchase the premium. All in all, I'll stick with my other apps. Hurricane tracker gives me what I need.

Nice app

I like AlertsPro ...it's easy to use and contains accurate information. I wish the map features came with AlertsPro without having to pay for upgrade though. Zoom in function would have been nice.

Other than that, love it!

Very nice initial release

We haven't had much inclement weather since AlertsPro was released, but it has worked well. When I first launched AlertsPro , it automatically recognized that I have the premium service. That service does include lightning data.
One feature that this app offers is to set different alert levels for each city.

Be glad for a star

This would be an awesome app except for one thing. You pay $1.99 to get AlertsPro for the push notifications. Once you download AlertsPro if you still want push notifications, which was the whole point here, you have to spend another $1.99 to become "premium". What's the point of charging to begin with for that? It's a shame too because AlertsPro had so much potential. I want a refund.

Zooming in and out of map a premium feature = deleted

Wow, such a basic feature like pinch zooming for a charge?

See you later alligator, far more available apps that have more capability than this one. I only look to see if I could improve what I have.

I've never left a bad review for a free app but to charge for something as basic to zoom in and out on a map is crazy!

Great app

It does what it says and does it well. It keeps me informed and up to date on the weather at locations I need that information.

Alerts Pro

The premium upgrade is necessary to keep from being distracted by ads. Overall, AlertsPro performs splendidly. It's what I expected.

Lots of warnings

Warnings seem to be well done, but keep coming even after I have already read them once. They keep coming too often for me. Several times a day. Otherwise well done.
