This does not work with GMail. Folders are not correct and can't delete emails properly.

Office365 won’t work. Tried 6 different accounts. Not ready for prime time.

I tried to like this email application, but it fails in so many ways. It does not appear that there is any way to remove old accounts from Envelope once it sets them up. Setting up an imap account generates at least 2 of the same account with different pieces of setup information missing at times.... Show more Setting up imap account does this or it hangs and never completes. I have setup a imap account and let the sit at testing for the account build for 20+ minutes and it does not complete. Closing Envelope causes Envelope to crash on startup. To try again you are to uninstall Envelope and reinstall and start all over.

Sent them an email with the following questions and have yet to hear from them:

Hi. I just downloaded your app and have a few questions.

How do I delete old contacts with whom I no longer keep in contact?
How do I change time zone? Mine is correct but incoming email is wrong unles... Show more s it's the sender's time maybe ??
Can I get this app to integrate with my reminder app that is not default on iPad? Also, reminders not showing up on calendar (iPad default calendar)
Can I change fonts?
It also doesn't show my sent emails sometimes in the bubble window but when it does, there is no format to them, all words jumbled together with no paragraphs or they just disappear altogether. Also, no red notification number showing emails that have come in unless the default one has to be turned off first so not sure about that...and picture added t signature not showing up - just a little box where the picture should be. Emails also showing in the wrong order somehow.

Lots of features though so if they work on it more then it may be useful.

Really wanted to like Envelope but deleted it and went back to using default app in iPad.

Although I REALLY wanted to like Envelope – because I have been looking for an alternative to iOS Mail for a long time – this app sadly isn’t it. Yet. There are too many bugs and too many crashes to make Envelope usable. Each time I read an email and return to the Inbox, that email is duplicated... Show more in the list. And it duplicates each time until Envelope crashes. And when you restart, many emails will be missing from the Inbox all together. And trying to set a default signature without the default developer line is impossible, As well as getting an html signature to work properly. Kudos to the design engineers, though. If Envelope actually worked, it would be fabulous.

I really like the layout of Envelope but it has caused my phone (5c) to freeze and crash a few times. It also inconsistent in getting my mail.

If you are looking for an email app, this is worth trying. The design is different and unfamiliar, but I've started getting the hang of it quickly. It makes sense, even if it's new to me. Configuring accounts was a snap. I really like Envelope and I wish I could rate it higher.

The problem ... Show more is stability. It crashes. A lot! I really hope the developer can improve stability and exterminate these bugs, because this app could be my Mail app (and Boxer) replacement.

Just started to play around with it and it looks very promising to me. I like the features that Envelope has, signatures with pics and able to use cursive etc.
The fact that it is with colors gives me the advantage of being able to rely on the icons colors instead of constantly having to check ... Show more the same grayish icons in other apps. Tx

I love Envelope but it keeps crashing. I want to to work so please fix this issue. Not using gmail.

Envelope has a really nice ui for viewing mail contents, senders, mailboxes and subsidiary contents, such as a browser window, as sliding windows.

Making it easy to slide the contents window out of the way when i want to see the list of received mail or sliding to the left to view contents.... Show more

I had been using Yahoo mail but this app is more intuitive.

Not perfect but ranks as one of the best email apps around. It's a cross btw the mailbox app. and the inbox cube Mail app.

The more I use Envelope the more I features I discover. Like it separates documents, pics, and video into their own categories making them easy to find the emails that ... Show more contains them.

A few flaws like the notifications are a bit buggy and don't always work. When viewing a document and after zooming in to view it. Leaving the document to return to the email app. seems impossible or maybe I just haven't found a way. Envelope . also freezes occasionally. But overall I'm impressed.

Pros:

Easy ability to format text in new email (bullet list, numbered list, bold text, etc.) which I really *love*. (It would be nice to see that expanded to include font color.)

Easy to attach audio file. I'm not sure if I'll use that or not, but I'd like to experiment with it. ... Show more Seems like a good idea.

I really like being able to add reminders to email.

Cons:

It's complicated. That may not really be a "con", since the complexity comes because it has a lot of good features. But be prepared to spend time learning it.

It's buggy. This is the only reason I'm not using it yet. A couple of versions from now, when the bugs have been ironed out, this may be a great email client.

Can't remove the "sent with this app" signature. That would be fine if there was a "pro" version you paid for that allowed you to remove the signature. Hopefully that's in the works.

After struggling with using 3 different email apps depending on what I needed to do, I found this one, the only one I need -- and it has more functionality than the others combined.

I would gladly pay $$ for Envelope, but hey, it's free. How do I "contribute"?

I don't know why others are having issues. I have none, zero. Connecting Gmail is odd to add - you don't fill in login in Envelope . You hit the add button and it takes you to Gmail login interface.

I use it on an iPhone 8 Plus, iPad Mini 3, and iPad Pros. No issues with crashing, connect... Show more ing accounts, dealing with massive amounts of e-mails - I have 6 or more e-mail accounts including Gmail, Microsoft, Apple, and my own sever/websites e-mail accounts. For years.

As I said, I've been using Envelope for many years. It went to and stays at GREAT, UNIQUE, and POWERFUL. The developer maintains it regularly, it's one of the only couple of iOS apps that I've been able to count on using long term and is still worth using over newer apps.

Has many unique features that I find very useful. Works well on my iPhone. User friendly. You can link multiple email accounts. Create contact groups to save time. Just started using this app; already I am amazed! Have used many e-mail clients and this seems to be my go-to from now on. I have been a user of the mac mail app for a long time. I have tried other apps, but did not feel they reduced the time I spent on mail. The cluster and group features of Envelope allow me to look at the email i am interested in and to take action on many emails at once. It automatically create... Show more s email clusters that can be addressed together. Its groupings have been right on: all emails in the group are closely related. Conservatively, Envelope has reduced my mail handling time by 60%. Great app keep up the good work!

This is the first review that I have ever written on any app and I usually don't but in this case I thought it appropriate Envelope wasn't working quite properly and I sent an email to one of the developers that the mail was not pushing to Envelope and I have to login every time I open Envelope ... Show more it only took several hours for him to fix the problem he sent me emails to let me know what the status was all the way along and asked me if there were any other issues that I may have incredible support team thank you so much and I will continue to be loyal to Envelope

So here is my updated review... They fixed the issue with gmail crashing and I have been able to use Envelope with no problems ever since. It's the perfect email app. I love it. There is much less clutter in my inbox and it takes me seconds to delete unwanted emails rather than endless minutes trying to organize it like I did before on my other email apps.

It's a great app and I love the layout, but it continually crashes like the other reviews said. Once they fix that, it will be my favorite and best email app!! For the brief time I used Envelope I was really happy with its functionality and the ease of filtering my emails. I did however have a hard time finding the non filtered email folders. I deleted something by accident and couldn't find the trash folder to retrieve the email. I would really love to come back and give it 5 stars!! Please fix the crash issue. Thx 😀
