Pinnacle Studio - video editing Reviews

I really liked PinnacleStudio for light editing of short and simple videos. It doesnt do EVERYTHING I want (adding watermarks, call outs, or any kind of text over video) but it does offer the basics which is good enough for the kind of short videos I need (simple slicing of video, adding titles (between frames only...not on top of vids), adding music, changing speed of vids, adding still frames (photos), and adding transitions between frames (limited but decent options)

HOWEVER
I was working on a project in PinnacleStudio today and all of a sudden, I am not able to edit video clips by dbl tapping on it. This means I am not able to adjust the speed of the clip, I can’t change how the video size appears, and I’m not able to duplicate the clip. VERY FRUSTRATING!! I’m also not able to render, export, or save my projects any longer which means I really can’t do a thing with my vids when the project is complete. 😫😭

The only nice thing about PinnacleStudio is the feature to render 60fps... But this application does have mess ups that i can not take. First, The play button that plays your project, slips up the actual timing for the video. I make videos that HAS To match up with the musical timing. In this case, PinnacleStudio does not meet my expectations. Second, every time i try to reedit the audio i want by multiple parts that are cut, I play the audio and it has a weird glitch pitch and replays like for half a second and once rendered, the audio is trash. Third, the rendering takes foreverr. I cannot rely on the render. Please fix up your slip ups. And i will give 5 Stars...

Bought the applications. I was very excited at the beginning, but quickly became disappointed. It has lots of features, but badly placed action keys or buttons. It is easy to mess up, specially when doing critical splicing and clipping: play button too close to rewind and fast forward buttons. Also to close to the video strip where it can easily cause moving the strip by mistake. Splicing/clipping razor blade too close to trash can, it can cause deletion by mistake. In other words, critical editing buttons are clustered too closed together, making it easy to mess up.

I’ll start by saying I have used Pinnacle Video editing products for over 10 years mostly because I could not afford the Big Names. Almost annually I would drop my $100 to get the latest “Whistles, Bells and Buzzers” upgrade pack that was mostly incompatible with the old version and all your archived projects. I won’t beat a dead horse. In 2019, on an iOS platform, NOTHING can compare to Luma Fusion 2.0. I spent $20 three years ago on v1.0 and haven’t regretted it for a second! Even got a FREE upgrade to v2.0 a couple of months ago.

Pinnacle Studio gives you a real timeline (a lot of the other editing apps make it hard to see real timecode and cut to music).

Very good app just what I was looking for and gives all the options I wanted like being able to add music and text and is simple to use

This is a wonderful app, but there’s no reason you should upgrade to pinnacle studio pro. It’s not really different from PinnacleStudio

Amazing app I love to edit on PinnacleStudio.I know this sounds crazy but could you please add the ability to use green screen.

I'm no expert at any sort of Video editing , just mess around with it in my spare time and have tried a few different apps and this has got to be the worst. Not too informative and very limited when it comes to features. I wouldn't recommend it.

I bought PinnacleStudio to be able to import xacvs 4k files from Sony cameras onto my iPad. PinnacleStudio didn’t help with this. I use luma fusion which is simply fantastic.

I don't get it and nothin makes sense I'm not gonna be able to do what I need to with this so I kinda want a refund

PinnacleStudio hasn’t been updated in 3 years... are the developers killing it?

PinnacleStudio is good at editing and all but whenever I go into the video thing I'm going to edit I have to wait until it loads and it takes a while to load. If it went just like that it would be great and when I move around it doesn't start there it starts at the beginning and I just don't like that because I have to wait for it to get at that spot.

Pinnacle Studio has been my go-to video editing app since it hit PinnacleStudio Store. It's the closest thing I've found on iOS to desktop editing in Avid, Premiere Pro or FCPX. The developer has done a great job of getting a huge amount of functionality into a compact form (the iPhone/iPod Touch interface is a bit more cramped—as you would expect—than the iPad version, but it's still very easy to find everything you need). The developer has clearly thought out the workflow, and it's easy to make whatever you want here. It's not maddeningly template-driven with auto-magic assembly of your footage; it's a solid, effective editor with a surprisingly robust titler and transition set.

I am a media production professional, and I have actually used Pinnacle Studio for some quick, on-the-go projects that went straight to air. It's that good.

There are always extra bells and whistles that could be jammed in, but if you want to cut together a video package with precision and creative flair, Pinnacle Studio has you covered.
