Not working well

It dropped the gps signal at 0.9 miles. I had run over 3.5 miles in the 45 minutes as I was running a familiar route and simultaneously running map my run. Not sure why it dropped the gps. Not worth much for training if that keeps happening.

Why so small??

The interval clock is way to small! There is so much real estate in that large hourglass timer. I either need to run with my readers on or search for a new app. I got through day one squinting at my screen.

Had potential but...

I wanted to like it but it isn't even accurate counting down how much longer to go. Tried to manually edit but it won't let me do that either. Disappointing because I'm in week 4. This has been a problem all along but today it's very bad. I'm switching.

Frustrated I paid for the map addition

For indoors it’s great to have the timer. I paid for the map addition and I’m very disappointed. I do half road running and half trail running. It only tracks the road running. I still need to use another ap for an accurate map.

It keeps me at week 1 day 1

So it’s either there’s something I don’t know or something fails me. Every time I start a run it’s always week 1 day 1 I would like it more if I could move on to day 2!

I really like RunHalfMarathon when it works. I wish they would fix a few bugs on it.
1- sometimes it tells you you have five or ten minutes left, but it’s not consistent.
2- if you try to pause RunHalfMarathon ,the timer gets all screwed up and doesn’t work right
3- the timer gets glitchy often- not sure if it’s because WiFi gets dropped or picked up intermittently on my run, but it’s been really frustrating because I like to finish the workouts.
4- if it were more consistent, i would give it more stars. I really like the interval training and I’m running way longer than I ever have- except when it messes up (because who wants to start over???!!!)

I have just started using this particular app. Loved the other Runcoach app where you set goals and the workouts are geared towards each goal. Starting over and wanted to try the interval training. Again, so far so good. Do wish the Voice was louder— can’t hear it when I have music on. Which is a bummer that I can’t listen to music. Hope this is fixed sooner rather than later.

This is definitely no frills which is fine but... I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall several times. Sometimes it just stops. If you get a phone call it stops running and doesn’t restart. But the funniest part is that while you are running with RunHalfMarathon , it sends a notification that “It’s time to do your exercise of half marathon now!!” Or even better 30 minutes after you finished. No way am I going out again. It’s definitely quirky.

but the display is kind of small and the hourglass image isn't necessary. I suggest larger font and no excess imagery so you can focus on the number and be countdown as well as keeping your pace and rhythm. Also, it doesn't tell you what pace you should be trying to obtain in order to possibly reach race speed. I guess it's assumed you're working toward a 7 minute mile? I couldn't tell you since RunHalfMarathon doesn't advise. It just says warmup, run, walk, and cool down. It also seems to drain my battery reasonably quick

What You Need and Free

I’m not new to running, but as a I get older and start to train for a half with a run/walk method I am pleased with RunHalfMarathon! I’m in my 3rd week and RunHalfMarathon is easy and straight forward. For those new to distance running you MUST cross train which isn’t in RunHalfMarathon . For me, I do yoga 5 days a week to keep my body limber and build strength, but do something to keep your spine and joints heathy.

I normally don’t do reviews but I really like RunHalfMarathon, so I hope they’ll keep updating it and people will keep trying it out. It’s simple and I love how it can track your distance. It is a little hard to read the time and there are a couple glitches in the voice notifications, but on the whole it’s a super app. I’d recommend it to anyone... especially someone trying to get back into running shape!
