Love The App!

I really do love Piano3D. The sound of the pianos is pristine when listened to using my second-generation AirPods or the included EarPods that came with my iPhone Xs Max 512GB. The selection of music available is excellent both in depth and breadth. The AR aspects of Piano3D are just phenomenal and a true pleasure to use. It’s like having a dedicated piano parlour within your home, or on your front yard, or in your office at work! I love it.

Piano3D is excellent at what it does with music and visuals, and there are tonnes of amazing camera angles that are like masterpiece art collections, including a constantly changing "moving camera!" My favourite, however, is to position the camera so that it’s looking at the piano chords themselves while the piano is playing. That’s something I have loved doing ever since I was a little boy. The enchantment of watching this in augmented reality is still present, every bit as much as it was when I was a child. I didn’t realise it was also a time machine! Ha! What a rare, true treasure!

I recommend Piano3D without hesitation or reservation. You will not regret it, I promise. Have fun!

Awesome app

Really good app. Currently using the free trial to see if I’ll buy it. It’s so cool being able to play songs I didn’t think I could. Piano3D would be even better if there was an interactive learning part that taught you how to read music with tips to click on so when you learn to play a song you can have the option to read along with the music at your own pace. I like that I can learn at my own pace with the loop feature. Would be nice if you made the pause button bigger or able to pause if you hit middle of the screen. Other than that really fun and cool app. Thank you!

Has some issues

I remember when I first downloaded this game years ago it was great because you would be able to watch ads to play a song and I believe it worked out very well. I now feel like I’m being forced to spend almost a hundred dollars just for a lifetime membership or even a year membership which I feel could be resolved. I would continue to play this and use it to learn many things if I were only able to play the songs I want by watching an ad or maybe even a few. You could also use a time limit on it or a one time play through. As I long time owner of this game I think that this could really help all parties for this game and especially me being a constant user of this. Another problem I’m having is that the screen record doesn’t record sound which I find a massive issue when trying to record for midi so hopefully that of all things could get resolved soon. I look forward to seeing Piano3D grow some more for free and member players.

Frustrated piano player

I always wanted to play the piano. Is one of my unfulfilled dreams. Now I am just too busy and probably too old to start taking piano lessons. So this is the best next thing. It's format allows me to enjoy playing beautiful melodies and I am having a great time. I love the note by note feature that allows me to navigate through very fast movements. Two suggestion:
1) it will be nice if you put a time frame over the line that marks the evolution of the song. That way, when I stop practicing late at night I could remember next day where I ended the night before.
2) Piano3D is going to used probably by people like me, with no musical background. It would be nice to include more melodies from contemporary artists that have fairly simple (but delightful) melodies, like Yanni. Most people that can play Mozart don’t need Piano3D.
Excellent app I love it!

Terrible

I used to love Piano3D, and I used it for piano practice. The graphics were amazing and I liked that you could change the piano. I also loved having the virtual reality mode, where I could sit down and pretend like I was actually there. Then a week or so later, I wanted to practice again. And as usual a premium add poped up on my screen. I exited it and clicked on the song I was learning “ moonlight sonata “ which is usually not reserved for premium. But it would not let me play it. I clicked on every single song that was not premium and I couldn’t play one of them. It turns out that now you cannot do anything on Piano3D until you pay for a premium membership. I might as well delete Piano3D if I can’t do anything on it. I suggest rather than making people pay for a membership, don’t make Piano3D free in the first place. That way people can have full access, not be disappointed, and the developers can still get there money. I hope you find this useful, and I ask the developers to please consider this.

Absolutely incredible..

I am in awe of this application... I’m a retired musician, mostly guitar and percussion, but really wanted to expand into keyboards and synthesizers.. I know this offering is ridiculously expensive, but for me, it’s well worth it, and has jumpstarted my piano education .. just remember, there are hundreds of midi songs available in the paid subscription, and you all know a single midi file can cost around $4 or $5 for quality work. 9having said that, the available midi’s only have piano tracks) - I ultimately intend to midi attach this into my synthesizers when I get more comfortable.. there are an amazing number of midi songs available, and editing/creating midi us a snap,, it’s unfortunate I can’t export my creations for use in my other synths,, but I can import! Many thanks to the developers.. excellent work!

Much more than an AR app

Yes, Augmented Reality is a very interesting concept but we all know it is, thus far, a novelty item. Which is why I dig that the “wow” factor comes from the grace and fluidity of the piano in Piano3D. I only wish my iphone 7 was as big as a baby grand or that my hands were the size of legos. Beautiful sound and feel but runs hot and cause some latency. . . Better on iPad Pro. Definitely useful for whatever you are trying to do as long as you know what it is you are actually doing. See for yourself. Also, is compatible with apples inter-app audio source. . . Which maybe all Apple Music apps are I’m not sure but this one definitely is.

Great app but here are just a few suggestions

Hello,

I love Piano3D. To say I use it everyday would be an understatement. Of all the mobile apps I’ve used, this is the only one that has all the features I need all in one. I use it to learn, compose and because the pianos sound so great, I use them with all my midi keyboards.

I only have a few suggestions.
1. Ever since the July 5 update (7.1) I noticed a slight delay when I play with my midi keyboard. I have always praised the fact that Piano3D (unlike others I’ve tried) had no noticeable delay when used with a keyboard. Is there anything you can do about this?

2. This has been a problem for a while. I use Piano3D for composition as well and I have no way of knowing what tempo I’m composing at. Is there any way you could add a metronome or change the speed % slider to read BPM. That way I won’t have to import my file into MuseScore every time I want to change the tempo.

3. This one is just a slight annoyance but can you switch the polarity of the sustain pedal to default to off rather then on. Or at least add a way to toggle to sustain while in edit mode.

Thank you,
Piano3D is truly one of a kind

Really like this app....Almost perfect, but...

1. For the longest time, the songs that I marked as favorites were not showing up in the list. I think that’s finally fixed (since I just saw many songs in my favorites yesterday) but I have to verify first.

2. It’s not updating on my (old) iPad....which got me thinking: how do I use Piano3D if I stop getting devices. I’d really like to see this become available on the internet.

3. Finally, I would REALLY like there to be a learning mode with sheet music. So instead of the midi notes rolling into the piano keys, it’d be nice to see sheet music whereby the respective notes become highlighted as the song is played. This would make it 5 stars hands down as I really want to better my sight reading.

A little quirky at times

I downloaded Piano3D to sync up to my digital grand piano through midi. I am using the Yamaha Vis Performer app for midi connectivity. It started off without any issues then I started to hear long sustaining notes that would ring out and then the sound would become overwhelmed with noise. Other times songs would stop half way through. It seems hit or miss. I work with midi and usb in my recording studio and have no issues running other programs through the piano so I believe there might be bugs to work out here. When Piano3D does function correctly my daughter loves it. That’s who it was intended for.

Great Improvement!

The update with the Gold piano is a tremendous improvement, you can zoom into the sound board and watch the hammers play the strings. Awesome! The new sound is definitely improved beyond the original white grand. It plays everything most accurately even the most advanced pieces.
I suggest other pianos like an ebony satin concert piano in a concert hall like Carnegie Hall so that it appears to be a concert pianist performing on stage. Also create a jazz grand piano in a bar or club, and lastly perhaps something a bit more vintage than the gold piano like an art deco Victorian style grand with a mahogany/walnut wood grained finish placed in a room in a 16th century European castle.

Used to be 1 of my favorite apps

This used to be one of my favorite iPad apps. It did a great job in teaching me the piano. I upgraded for the additional features. That upgrade appears to have expired. I like finding and using midi tracks for songs not in Piano3D. But now it will not let me upgrade or add midi tracks. I’ve removed and readded Piano3D several times but all this did was cause me to lose my previously saved song favorites. When I click upgraded it takes me to my other subscriptions but this is not listed. There are no steps for me to upgrade another way. Because of this I have subscribed to a different piano app that allows me to upload midi tracks and did not have the issues with trying to upgrade.

Awesome!

I love Piano3D so much! It’s like the best 3D piano app I have ever played! I don’t really like the sheet music that my mom bought me because it’s just too much work reading it, but piano 3D taught me Für Elise, and I can play it very well now! One thing I hop that piano 3D change is to make it free so everybody can play the music they like! ( I know you for the people that made this game spend a lot of work and programming on Piano3D, but I just hop you guys can change it to free so the people that use Piano3D doesn’t have to spend money).
Thank you so much for reading my review, and I wish all of you have a happy thanksgiving! :)

Unusable file structure, not compatible with iCloud

It’s a beautiful app, and sounds great. But it has two fatal flaws that make it complete junk for me.

One: I have piano songs in midi format stored in a folder on the iCloud. I will tap on one of those files, and instruct my iPad to open it in Piano 3D. Guess what? Piano 3D will not open that file. It’s a glitch. A fatal one. If you email that file to yourself, then it will open the file. But it will not open it directly from iCloud.

Two: Who is the drunk crack addict imbecile that came up with the file management structure? You can’t sort your songs alphabetically. You can’t sort them any other way but however Piano3D decides to do it. Good luck finding anything that you want. You will search and search and search and search.

You have to be a member to play most of the songs

I thought that this game was gonna be great. But it was a huge let down when I realized you had to have a membership to play most of the songs, which costs about 8 freaking bucks per month?! And then it said for a lifetime membership it would be ‘only 40 dollars! That’s just a waste. And then I found a song that you didn’t have to be a member for, and it started playing for me! I didn’t want it to play for me. I wanted to actually learn how to play it on my iPhone. But there wasn’t even an option where you could play it yourself. I think that this application would be much better if you just didn’t have to be a member to play most of the songs and there was an option where you could play the song yourself.

Do NOT buy if on iPhone X and higher

Piano3D itself is a great tool to learn from and has a lot of potential. However, Piano3D ’s user interface does not accommodate for the iPhone notch. It covers up the editing controls to rename and SAVE a song. The developer(s) also do not let you solve this because they don’t allow the user to flip the screen 180 after rotating the device. This makes absolutely no sense to not check that box in XCode.

The importing of an MIDI file also sometimes does not work and searching for a song just gives you a blank screen instead of saying “no songs found.”

With the last update being over a year ago, they’ve abandoned Piano3D on a development and maintenance standpoint. Do not download.

GreatApp, but...

When first released, Piano3D was interesting and a nice tool for people that learn by sight like myself. However, since recent updates, Piano3D now takes forever to open. It always open with a horrific version of flight of the bumblebee, and there are no option settings to allow me to just open Piano3D without loading flight of the bumblebee. Another change that has happened is every song takes forever to load. Used to click on a song and it would load in just a few seconds. Now I have to watch the spinning circle of death for several minutes before a song will load. And Piano3D continually prompts you to submit a review, even after I've rated and submitted reviews. Can't recommend Piano3D any longer.

You Ruined it!

This WAS a wonderful app. When you first began I was one of the first users. And enjoyed it.
Every time a request came up for rating I gave it a 5 star.
I wish now I wouldn’t have rated it as such each time.
It only emboldened you to get greedy and now instead of making Piano3D better you have slowly stripped away abilities of usage. Going so far as thinking users should pay to have a black piano. How ridiculous! Furthermore you now charge outrages fee. 7.99 per WEEK seriously?
I have kept Piano3D on my iPad in hopes you would come to your senses and make it user friendly again. Thinking the negative ratings you have been experiencing from the all 5 star ratings you used to incur.
Disappointed I have now deleted your app and in the process
Watch out because a better app is now out there. Of which I'm on social media promoting.
It is a shame you have compromised your integrity.

STOP PESTERING ME

I’m only doing this because your app relentlessly pops up a rating box which is as annoying as ads. If not more. It’s like you’re constantly asking me “am I doing ok? Is this good? Do you like this?” To which my answer is NO.
It’s ad free which is nice but there are SO few free songs it’s disappointing. The constant pestering of “RATE US!” is annoying. Seriously. Stop. Nagging. Me.
The gold grand piano.
You know the one.
The gaudy, obnoxious white and gold one?
Yeah that one.
IT IS THE ONLY FREE ONE! Why?! It’s so bright!! I’d rather have the western machine piano. At least it’s cool looking.
Your scroll lock doesn’t work half the time. It won’t stay locked. And no it’s not user error when I’m staring at the button clicking right on it 20 times before it works.
And finally some songs don’t match their titles. Like Cold as Ice by Foreigner is NOT Fur Elise by Beethoven.
I’m not trying to be annoying or analytical or mean or what have you. But Piano3D was better when there was only ONE instrument. Waaaay before that gold and white one. And I HATE being nagged to rate an app. I WOULD RATHER HAVE ADS. If I WANT to rate an app I WILL!
Please fix Piano3D. ‘Til then... ONE STAR FOR YOU!
😡🤬😤

Suggestions & Compliments

I've had Piano3D for three years now, and have seen the progression from all the updates. But I have suggestions;
1.) Add a VS mode/monthly competitions
2.) Allow comments/ratings
3.) Add a choice to what file the music can be converted to-midi/mp3/wav/etc.
4.) Add a music sheet page where you can see/learn/listen/and edit the notes/time signatures/etc. and print the music sheets out.
5.) Add all sorts of instruments;
A.) All sorts of instruments related to the piano
B.) All sorts of Orchestral instruments
C.) All sorts of Brass instruments
D.) All sorts of Percussion instruments
E.) Add an option to make an instrument/you can add new
instruments
F.) ETC.

Even before this, I've learned to play hundreds of songs, but only on Piano3D have I learned to play piano. I also play violin, but I like piano best. Piano3D is the best app for learning. I best recommend Piano3D to anyone who is planning to learn piano.

Egregious.

I had Piano3D one time. I was able to make songs. I still want to! You guys ended my dream by putting the create a song feature on premium! Don’t forget that you, the greedy developers you are, decided to put most of the songs on premium. And $7.99 to plug in a MIDI DEVICE?! Come on. You know better than that. You know better than to put the best features of Piano3D in the extravagant section. I’m pretty sure that people would agree that Piano3D is just a waste of my money (although I don’t have any, but pretend I did), and really Piano3D is just pure garbage. I have had Piano3D deleted over 10 times. So if you want me to keep Piano3D , I suggest that you add some features from the premium section to the free section. For example, the white grand piano, the player piano, MIDI devices, a few songs, song maker, import MIDI songs, and all that good stuff. The piano colors you can leave in the premium section, or make all the solid colors off the premium section. I really despise Piano3D and I’ll have a better review and rating about Piano3D once you modify Piano3D to make it enjoyable. As of right now, I wish the rating stars were at zero. 😡😒

Please remove tips

Apps like this are obvious the developers don't use them or have a beta group. Tips are presented when you start Piano3D or change from screen to screen. Common sense tips that anyone who has even a smart phone knows. Tips that will stay on screen until you not only touch the screen, but move it. If you truly must give such obvious tips then at least add a way the user can disable them. I've never seen an app that had tips without such an option. Please also try forcing yourself to use your own product once a day and ask yourself "what seems redundant and pointless", or "what is incredibly annoying about Piano3D". If you don't use such apps then don't create them or at least have beta testers and then listen to them.
