What’s the deal? Got new iPhone Xs. Opened it. Can’t swipe to close it. Can’t close the program or get use of your phone back without a hard reboot. Only way to get your phone. Basically bricks your phone until you do that. Shame too. I like this program.

RealPiano is awful, you have to purchase upgrades and the sound is terrible.

That stands for make all the features FREE

Worked great when I first downloaded RealPiano last week, but in the pat few days has stopped making any sounds. I've checked my phone volume and settings, and I'm not having trouble with sound from any other apps, so I've got to conclude that it's an issue with the piano app. Frustrating, but good motivation to finally snag one of those free pianos that's always on Craigslist.

Used to be fine giving the tones I needed. But recent update gave it a lag in key responsiveness that makes it unusable.

Hate the new sound, please bring the old one back

I re-installed this to see how it compares to Virtuoso by Peter Nagy, both have been upgraded and both are free. Some advantages go to each. RealPiano doesn't have the advertisements, which is certainly attractive, but the Virtuoso features can be changed while on the keyboard screen rather than moving away from the screen. AND Virtuoso has many more features than this one has even in the paid version. I'm not willing to pay for the upgrade on either one so will let others rate the upgraded features.
Virtuoso was designed for the iPad so it is full screen automatically where Real Piano is for the iPhone and you have to enlarge it, which I typically find is annoying. So I give it two stars.

I really like how this keyboard is easily moved up and down the octaves with a swipe of the finger, but it bombed and quit when I tried to strike a chord. Also it lags and is really slow to follow your touches so it's not very playable. It cannot do a roll through all the keys -- like when you swipe your finger across all the keys. I think RealPiano needs upgrade.

Love this!!

Try to play a nice chord in any time where the rhythm is a quarter followed by 2 eighth notes. Very delayed.

I had the virtuoso piano app, and it has crashed ever since I updated to 8.0...So I scrolled through a thousand "learn to play piano" apps before I finally found this as a replacement. RealPiano looks way better and is more customizable than what I had. I am running it on a 5s.

Great little app if you want to have a realistic sounding and easy to play piano with you. Haha, it's my alternative when I don't have my real piano or keyboard available. Love it!

Pro: no ads, beautiful interface, sounds real, even my baby loves this
Con: takes long time to start up
Bottom line: I also tried Virtuoso, but I am keeping Real Piano and uninstalling Virtuoso.

Free version is perfect. Exactly what I hoped to find. Great on iPhone 6 Plus. Single keyboard option shows middle C, and C above and below. Slider allows all 88 keys. Excellent piano tone, and the sustain mimics that of a piano without the sustain pedal down. i.e., Press and hold yields more sustain than a short tap. Thanks.

This is a very good app to me. I always find myself playing it and it even helps me when I need to train my ear to a song section from one of my wind ensemble songs. I love it and I wish the full version would become free at one point so I can get that too.

Free version plays like a piano in that I can actually control length of notes instead of simply pressing buttons. Also the dual keyboard gives space to feel like playing with both hands instead of constantly scrolling. Satisfied and thinking about full purchase.

Ok, here it is and straight forward. It crashes. It is a free application, so don't expect any payed for quality. RealPiano, however, works perfectly fine on my iPod Touch 4 except for when I try to change the in-app settings (volume). It does an extraordinarially good job at what it is required to do. It slides in and out for multi-sized key space and 88-key swiping system. SO PLEASE QUIT COMPLAINING for all of you negative Nancy's out there. Case and Point - David.

Nothing on RealPiano works without buying upgrade packs.

I wanted RealPiano to give me single notes to check my pitch. I sing with a ladies barbershop chorus and this has been wonderful to hit just a few notes to keep us on pitch. Since its on my phone, it's too little to really play very much! To get enough keys on the page makes it too close together to hit each note properly. But it meets the need I had wonderfully!!

I love RealPiano, and since i play the piano in real life it's fun :P but why upgrade to real piano 2 for free if you have to buy all of the extra stuff (like instruments) anyway? That's just dumb... If the whole thing was free i'd rate five stars but OH WELL!!!!! It would be awesome if it was free. But life is hard.
