Would be a nice experience but...

Would be a nice experience but I barely got 90 seconds into it and was hit with and was “beat over the head” with them trying to push me into the premium version then my App Store was forcefully opened trying to get me to download a karaoke app. Also, it looks like the subscription prices for WeDrum are way too high for my liking. Way too pushy on the sales pitches and ads. They would probably have a lot more success having a free version that gave you 10-20 songs, then charge .99 per new song, with some extra free songs thrown in every once in a while. Too bad. The idea behind app itself seems promising. The only issue with the gameplay that I had was that the timing of the beat strike seems to be a little behind the actual groove of the beat.

Way to many ads

Ok so it’s a decent app but most of the good songs are for premium only.

And you do get a 7 day free trial. But then you either pay weekly or monthly after that I’m sure. And there’s no way to actually buy WeDrum itself which is very disappointing.

Also I’m not sure if some drums are the same as each other but they have three drums that are color coated in green so it’s hard to see which ones to hit when they appear on the screen. But maybe all three of those drums are the same sound and same kind? Idk. But also there isn’t a good selection of free songs and there’s ads before a song is played. After a song is played. While a song is loading. All sorts of random ad pop ups to waste your time. So I don’t think I’ll be using WeDrum that much anymore.

Hard Sales Pitch

To an extent, every free game with a paid version exists to get you to buy the full version but this one is trying to make you pay from the get-go and obnoxiously so. Many may give up on the free version before even getting to any content because they make it so difficult to simply play without signing up for a free trial subscription to the premium version. If you find the free content, the songs you can choose from are poorly organized, many locked out due to being exclusive to the premium version, and you’ll be forced to watch ads before many of the available songs. And after completing most songs you’ll be asked to review it. Game is ok, but the unrelenting sales pitch made me delete this within 10 minutes of downloading it.

Can’t Play without Committing to $8/week Subscription

I like the game’s concept. I’m even willing to pay to play. However, I’m not willing to be forced to sign up for an $8/week subscription that auto-renews after the trial, before even playing a single song.

If they come out with a model that I can at least play a few songs with no commitment or worry about cancelling a subscription before the trial ends, I’d love to try it. That’s what in-app purchases are for and I’m fine with that. It’s a great way to let people try it out without being so over the top like you are.

In its current form, this is far too predatory for my liking. Unfortunately that means they won’t get paid from someone willing to pay for the game without feeling preyed upon. Stop being so aggressive and abrasive and I’ll happily give it a try.

Meh

It's fun to play but if you want to play 80% of the songs you have to pay and it tells you to try premium after almost every song. Even for half of the songs that are free you still have to watch a add to play them. when you are playing it sometimes it freezes and makes you loose your bonus or it doesn't register you tapping. It also asks you to rate it so many times.

Overall it's fun but it would of gotten more stars if you could play more songs for free. I think you should get it but you should be up for spending money or waiting through adds.

Inaccurate and Frustrating

I played on an iPhone 8+. Maybe WeDrum hasn't been updated to run right on the new devices yet? But the sound is completely off from when I actually tap the screen. At a certain tempo, the sound comes an entire beat after I tap. Playing faster it's even worse. I simply can't focus on playing when that is happening. It's like trying to talk when you can hear your own voice in headphones but slightly later. Maybe there should be a calibration system that you can fine-tune, but from what I've seen, that would probably be behind a pay-wall too.

There are much better drum apps already on WeDrum Store. Play with those, not this one.

Please for the love of god do not buy

This is an awful app that does not know one thing about drumming. The designers would rather spend more money on advertising than on WeDrum . The only one good thing about it is ar drumming. Along with this all of the songs that they use are rewritten and sound so bad. Not only this they have misspellings in the song titles like “for Elise” instead of “für Elise”. Along with this it is 12 dollars a week for a subscription which you need to play. At that rate you might as well buy an actual drum set. So to sum it up please do not give your money to these creators that are clearly not drummers and are just looking for ways to take your money.

Used to love it...

...But can’t play it anymore. It seems they’ve eliminated the free version of WeDrum , which had ads & songs only available to subscribers, which was reasonable and fair. Now you must subscribe to use WeDrum . It’s strange that it says one of the benefits of subscribing is “no more ads.” Seems like the developer got greedy & wanted subscriber’s money only. Now, I’m definitely not going to subscribe (I’m on a budget & have a list of apps/games I want to subscribe or purchase & WeDrum is off the list) & whatever the developer was earning from ppl like me, willing to watch ads (even clicked on a few, some games I play now, I discovered in ads) they’ve lost. It’s a shame, it was a good app.

Malcious Scam

Honestly i don’t ever write reviews so the fact that this one was so horrible necessitated a review. They are predatory and require you to sign up for the “free trial” which automatically enrolls you in the $8 A WEEK version of the game. And you cant unsubscribe through WeDrum , you have to go to WeDrum store. The game play itself would be just ok for a free game. But the songs are not good and as a musician i cant believe how non musical it sounds. So PLEASE dont do this. Go buy a Cajon and learn real drumming technique.

Edit: Received an email from the developer 2 months after my initial poor review. While i do appreciate them reaching out, i dont retract what i said. I had to google how to unsubscribe from the predatory WEEKLY CHARGES.

Way to pushy and manipulative

They did this yes yes mind trick at the start “this is how you play, tap the drum 🥁 if you got it... Now tap the drum to sign up for the monthly subscription.” I’m paraphrasing it but you get the idea.

After saying no to their free trial they still push way to fast for a review! I’ve only got to they playing part 2 minuets ago and they already want my review. Fine this is it. I don’t like it, I’ll be deleting it as soon as I’m writing this review. The playing part was good but the whole experience felt like walking down some sleazy street with everyone asking for my money.

Money hungry

The amount of begging for money is outrageous. You get access to like 3 songs if you don’t spend any of your money. And it’s subscription based??? Who in their right mind is going to pay (a very generous amount of) money every week/month/whatever to play a game that isn’t even that good? You can spam click the buttons and get a perfect score, as there isn’t a penalty system in which you lose points for hitting the drum when you’re not supposed to. This is a mediocre game. Even if you didn’t have to pay for anything and everything was unlocked and free, it’s drill mediocre. Download garage band or any free drum app for just as good of an experience for no cost.

$$$ outrageous

In order to even try WeDrum I had to subscribe to get a free trial. The subscriptions are about $8 a week! It starts out with a nice little tutorial, and I do mean a little tutorial. Then you’re set off immediately into songs. They don’t have a rating as to how hard the songs will be, so it was a total surprise with what I ended up with. Over all, this whole thing could be re done and done a lot better. The idea is awesome but bad execution. Mostly disappointed with the price on this and lack of free options, as the quality I saw was something I would expect from a free game. 🤷🏻‍♀️ unsubscribed and uninstalled.

Waste of Money

Honestly, I’m sick and tired of companies who FORCE you to do a “free” trial of their app ONLY to then have to pay for it. It’s a drum game, it’s nothing special so WHY they think charging $7 a month is okay, is beyond me? Y’all think you’re out here changing the game. You’re not. It’s simply a scam and the fact that I can’t even play the game without having to connect my card to your app is a major turn off. Maybe learn better business cause I can assure you I know better than you. Miss me with your copy and paste BS response, don’t even @ me just fix your horrible attempt and tying to get everyone’s money in your pocket.

Fun but needs work

This game is fun. I downloaded it because I miss Tap Tap Revenge. Its similar but a little harder. Also you always get 3 stars whether you do good or bad. That's dumb. They need to work on the scoring. I'm only playing the free trial. The paid version of this game is $7.99 a A WEEK!!!! 😂😂😂 not even a month but a WEEK! who's paying $32 a month to play a game?🤔 yall must be crazy. I wouldn't even pay a one time payment of $7.99 for the full version of this game 🙄 just stick to ads like the other games do! bye

Need some work but a cool app

I did enjoy WeDrum so far, cute song and all with easy understanding of the drum set, but! That extra points and extra noise that keep submerging through out each song really throws you off while playing. And also how each note; based on the color make the moving board the same color, makes it hard to see the color pattern as well. Should’ve made something that resembled guitar hero video game. Would’ve been better.

By

Don’t trust other reviews

I don’t mind subscribing to certain apps but $32 a month is ridiculous and they’ve obviously paid for all these “robo-reviewers”. The premise of WeDrum could be cool but everything is locked behind a crazy expensive pay-wall. Most songs are either kids songs or really crappy 30 second covers of real songs which wouldn’t even be worth $1 a month. There are tons of good rhythm games out there so skip this this one. You’re better off avoiding getting sucked into doing a free trial, forgetting about it and getting charged $8 for this click bait.

Desperate much?!

I have never used an app that was so desperate for a review, so I’ll give you one. First I think the sub model is a joke, for a few reasons. 1. The song selection is terrible and limited. I want to rock out like I did in guitar hero or rock band, not to the songs I learned in nursery school. The ants go marching...really?! 2. I’m not going to pay for an app so I can play a fake drum set in augmented reality. Asking me to pay for the premium version after every song is just as bad as asking me to rate the game after every song. Sorry but WeDrum didn’t make it 10mins on my phone, not should it on anyone else’s

By

AR mode

I don’t know if anybody else had this problem, but I tried the to go onto AR mode in the song selection. Nothing happens and after I tapped it. I don’t the subscription and nothing happened after I clicked it. I realized that you probably need the subscription, but then I thought there would at least be a message. Overall, the game is basically a billboard. They shove adds and messages to subscribe. Honestly, if you want a music game just get Guitar Hero.

😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️

I love how much it teaches me how to play the drums and new songs. It plays good songs that I have never heard. I have never found such a great- sounding, educational game. But there are a few setbacks to the game that I think would help it. I think there should be personal lessons to teach you all the notes. Please consider my comment and possibly make some changes?

Good app, but...

The idea of WeDrum is really good, but the way its executed isn’t. There aren’t many songs in the first place, and about half are premium only. Also, the game lacks a composer or level editor of sorts. That would allow the user to play/make songs that they enjoy. WeDrum also doesn't have an option to choose difficulty, songs have a predetermined difficulty. I would recommend WeDrum if they fixed the problems I mentioned, but at its current state, I do not recommend it.
