Love this app!! You can use it on a nook

This is my favorite music app! I love it!!! It’s fun and entertaining, and I love making music with it. I’m downloading it on all of my devices that’s how much I love it! I have an old nook don’t know if anyone knows what that is nowadays, but it’s a really slow and old version of and iPad. None of my games work on it except for this one, so thanks! If you have a nook this game works! I love MusiQuestECE! Would totally recommend it!
P.S. no adds!!!!

Great for anyone who wants to experiment with music

Having quit violin at a young age, I never would've thought I had it in me to write music, but I've surprised myself with the kinds of tunes I can make from fiddling with the notes in MusiQuestECE. My 11-year-old brother is in love with it too--he doodles patterns on the sketchpads and they come out quite harmoniously in sound! There is, I've found, a surprisingly high correspondence with what looks good visually and what sounds good auditorily. Though MusiQuestECE says it's geared toward kids, I highly recommend it for anyone who is curious in experimenting with music or has nurtured secret musical ambitions that are waiting to find a channel!

At Last I Can Make Music With These Children I Definitely Have!

My children are 100% real, and like all real children that exist they enjoy interfacing haptically with objects manifest within their particular locus of space-time. Each time my biological son Žižek (in solar years 11) and my biological daughter Peristalsis (in solar years 9) play the Sketch-a-Song kids on the Apple Ipad (which we assuredly do have legal possesion of) they cannot prevent their physiognomies from contorting into the fixed rictus of glee I love so well for their faces to show. For this I am gifting the sketch-a-song with all of the stars I have.

Very functional & well designed app

If you're looking for a quick way to make music that's easily scalable, look no further. There are a lot of apps in this field which make music, but oftentimes they're too complex for the average person who just wants to play around and make some funky beats.

I like MusiQuestECE because you can easily make a time while waiting for a bus but also spend a bit more time and make something really nice. The interface is cute and lends well to being that app you give to your kids or your siblings when they ask to "play on your iPhone".

Overall, highly recommended.

Wish I had this when I was a kid

8 years of piano lessons and I hardly remember a thing. A few minutes of "drawing" music with Sketch a Song and it's incredible how much came back to me. I also love how many choices there are for instruments; I would've loved to have played with this before "deciding" (or rather, my parents deciding) that piano was the instrument for me way back when.

Fun way to get kids in a creative space

The reason I love MusiQuestECE is that it encourages musical creativity instead of musical imitation. Although learning your musical scales and imitating music you hear is very important to learning music, the importance of free-flow creativity in music is often forgotten. Sketch-a-song gets children into the mindset that they can create whatever they want to hear. That is, to me, is the spirit of music.

Great to do with the family

My kids and I have spent several evenings in a row with MusiQuestECE. We take turns adding instruments, experimenting with different sounds and pitches and have made lots of fun (and sometimes noisy!) songs. The kids love to play them back and dance along. MusiQuestECE works for just about any level of music knowledge and is very flexible. Very nice!

It's so easy!!!

Wow!! Just wow. As someone who's composed music before I read about Sketch-a-Song and wasn't really sure that it could deliver. But it really blew me away! MusiQuestECE gives you control of so many things in such an easy and simple way it's just amazing!! I've been playing with it non-stop since I got it. Really lets me see the music I'm making. Love it!

More than meets the eye

The pictures don't seem to match what one would or could do with the music options.
I'd ignore them.
I wouldn't ignore the musical possibilities though. As a music teacher for special needs students I can easily have them add a rhythm, melody, or harmony to a given piece or make up something on their own. Bravo for something simple yet tasteful in quality.
Do re think the pictures.

Making music made easy...and fun!

MusiQuestECE is so intuitive and easy to use! the tunes you can make are pretty catchy and you don't need to know a thing about music.

have had musical experience from a young age, so I really like that MusiQuestECE allows me to be more advanced if I want to.

But most of the time I like to keep it simple! Still so fun

Musical genius!

Simply awesome! Easy to use, but so much to do. Well researched, and an interesting combination of music theory and visualization. The instruments and illustrations are beautiful, and it creates a light-hearted and whimsical way to create some really cool music. I can see how this would be a fun and educational tool for kids, but really this is great for anyone of any age who likes making music. Great work!!

HELP PLEASE!!

I love MusiQuestECE and have been using it with my music students but ever since I've updated to IOS 8.4 MusiQuestECE is non reactive to my touch. The metronome keeps going but none of the other buttons respond whatsoever. Someone please help, I've tried reloading MusiQuestECE multiple times but nothing helps.

I love this App

MusiQuestECE gave me so much inspiration for becoming a composer. I am nearly heart-broken that I deleted MusiQuestECE and lost pieces of music that were truly wonderful (probably only to me). If only I could get them back. Other than that, MusiQuestECE is really fun, and is very easy to learn to use.

Music

In a word, Amazing! I just used this with my Keyboard Explorer Class. This class is geared towards 5 year old piano students students. We ended today by composing a song with Sketchasong. How empowering for 5 year old music students. No words for how powerful that was for them. Thank you!

My niece loves this

I downloaded this for my 11 year old niece and she loves it! It was super easy for her to figure out and when we are in the car she loves making up songs for me and playing them back. I love how creative it lets her be, and how entertaining it is!

Easy and fun!

I'm not super musically inclined so I was a bit nervous to try it out, but I was pleasantly surprised! The built in 'grooves' are amazing, and it's super easy to build awesome sounding songs on top of them. Interface is very intuitive, I was able to get the hang of it very quickly

Excellent, minus a few bugs.

Kept my 7 yr old nephew totally engaged for over an hour making music.

Would get 5 stars if it weren't for the broken sharing and "for parents..." features, which currently do nothing but take you back to the previous menu.
