I had no problems with the old set up of the app. Now I have the new update and there are so many things wrong with it. First of it shows previous shifts from many months ago so right when you get into the app make sure to check what month you are looking at cause it is probably not the current month. Also make sure you take screenshots of your schedules because even though you click the schedule button which is supposed to show the pictures of the schedule, it most likely will not show up. I haven’t been able to see my works’s schedules all day, sometimes they will appear but most of the time they are nowhere to be found. I also have trouble seeing the open shifts posted on the app. I am casual so I pick up open shifts and I currently in the last couple days have been relying on other people telling me what open shifts there are because all of our apps show different things. Not to mention when you go to the current date on the app, for me at least, no shifts will even show up. None of the open shifts that still are waiting to be picked up or have been picked up will appear on the current date. So when I go on app before I head into work for the day and look at today’s date, it is blank. All of the employees who have updated their app have complained about it. We are all confused and have the time we all see different things on our screens. I miss the old app.

The company I work for switched to this app after our last one was discontinued, and I’ve hated it from the start. It’s more than just how childish the app looks (seriously, why does a business app look like it was designed for children?) — so many features are lacking. For the last few months I haven’t even been receiving notifications from the app at all, which has meant multiple missed opportunities to pick up shifts and help coworkers (the very reason for this app’s usage at my workplace) as well as both missed schedules and announcements from managers. Many team members don’t even use it anymore since the switch to Shyft, so getting shifts covered is much more difficult. It’s a trainwreck and I’m so glad we’re preparing to move over to Crew. (If you haven’t heard of it: Crew is a much more professional and useful app that does what it says it does… and it doesn’t have a poorly-drawn childish woodland creature for a mascot, which is always a plus) Honestly, it baffles me that this app was ever chosen at all; I blame that on the short notice we had when our old service shut down in August 2018.

New update very hard to follow and understand. I get change is hard but this new update has so many bugs and is causing issues with my coworkers understanding when they are scheduled. My manager is also having issues seeing who all is scheduled during the day. It is also hard to know when I am scheduled for a shift as it is not always correct - this leads to overlap errors when associates pick up a shift-swap when they are already scheduled but aren’t aware.
The old interface was much more user friendly and way easier to use. I do like the professional look to this update, but it needs some major work. It should have been a more gradual update or had a better starting point for the 3.0 version. Very disappointed, as this app used to help me and my coworkers know exactly when we were scheduled and when there were shifts available for pickup. Never had any issues with the previous version.
