A lot of great features in Lumos, but hasn't been accurate in augmented reality mode yet, and thats why i got it. Saw it as a good tool to plan photographs out but i think its only good for a general idea. Even when i move the apps sun in line with the real sun it continues to move around, adjusts itself back to the wrong place. This may be a flaw of my IPad/IPhone though since its using its gps and location services to locate my position. Otherwise great idea for a photo tool.

As with any AP they just cannot leave it alone. The new installation does not allow one to see what address is being typed in the search menu. Very aggravating when the search comes up empty because one may have typed a letter wrong. If it isn’t broke, leave it alone please!!!

Lumos has been helpful to me in numerous ways. Buying a house to confirm where the sun rises and sets. And for photography and videography so that I go to the right place at the right time to get the light right. And even to determine when the moon is close to the Horizon for certain shots. It always delivers.

Great app for any photographer that uses sunlight. (A good majority) So helpful when imagining scenes and camera positions in a remote location for a future date. My only complaint is that Lumos doesn’t think I have compass calibration on, so augmented reality does not work. I checked my settings, and I do have compass calibration on. Devs, I am running on iPhone 6 at iOS 12.2. Please see if there is another function call for my hardware/iOS version that will work. Thanks.

EDIT: ignore my issue. I opened it again after several uses and the AR started working and showing sun path. Updated to 5 stars

I just installed Lumos! And I’m so satisfied with features and the fact that is free!!!
You can pay for other apps they may have couple of more features that this one doesn’t, but they are so expensive. Enjoy!

We often scout locations for future shoots and Lumos has such a user-friendly interface compared to a similar app we used to use!

A simple and very useful app for knowing the trajectory of sun and moon in the sky. It’s especially handy when you find yourself unplanned at a good photographic vantage point and want to know where and when the sun or moon fits into the scene.

Finally, I can find the sun or the moon anytime I want, whether I’m taking a dump or facedown uncontrollably sobbing in a pillow on my bed.
Washing grandma and need to see exactly what the sun is up to today? Zero problem!
About to do a mafia style hit on some snatch but need to know if the moon is at the perfect angle? Not an issue!

Lumos has all the features you need for knowing where the sun will be anywhere, anytime. Free for your current location only, but worth the upgrade for planning destination shoots etc.

Easy to use, it provides a ton of information in its free version. I will buy the pro edition mostly as a thanks. I am building a pérgola at home and want to project the shade it will give me using different configurations. Lumos saved me a lot of time and work. Thanks.

The first BIG PLUS for me is the super fast customer support. I had two questions and sent this app the Customer Support form. Within two hours, the founder of Lumos responded with the answers I needed.
I used this app yesterday to find the “golden hour” and sunlight location for a shoot on Austin’s Sixth Street. I also was able to install this app on both my iPad and iPhone SE for one price. Already paid for itself.

My toddler loves looking at the “Mooney”. Was looking for an app that would allow me to see what time we would be able to catch the moon at and what days. Lumos is great and works perfectly.

I’m a photographer and I use Lumos to plan where the sun will be located before my Photoshoots. This works well in real estate photography when a client in another county/city wants the sun facing the front of the structure. Planning is a breeze with Lumos. Thank you for developing this!

While this is neat to just play around with, it’s also handy for planning campouts and events. I’ve also used it for planning cctv cameras where the sun won’t blind them, solar cell placement, and a bunch of other things.

I like Lumos a lot and it seems to be accurate as far as I’ve found. There’s no fussing with extras, it’s simple and straightforward. If I could have anything added I only link to see fist and last light with the sunrise and sunset info it already gives.

This is an excellent app for tracking the location of the sun throughout the day if your planning a photo shoot. Also the notifications feature is awesome because I can get reminders of the specific times of golden hour.

Helps me to know when is full moon for night street photography, su roses for my drone shots and same goes for sunset to captures amazing footage. Also helps me to know the position of the sun for any time of the day
