To use the SonarPhone App in anything other than “Demo Mode” you will need to connect to an existing SonarPhone Sonar WiFi Transmitter or purchase one of the three options yourself.

SonarPhone delivers a multi-color color display plus it offers a robust menu of features you will be able to “Test Drive” by downloading this SonarPhone App and play the system in the “DEMO” setting.
The SonarPhone App includes 17 language options: English, Spanish, German, Polish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch, Finnish, Russian, Italian, Czech, Danish, French, Swedish and Greek.
The T-POD (SP100) is a ultra portable WiFi transmitter systems that has a self contained battery and can be pulled behind your boat, cast or thrown from shore.

Completely changed my review from 2 stars to 4. I now highly recommend SonarPhone. Important trick, you can drag from the gain arrow buttons in any direction to make them behave like a slider, but only in the direction of the button you initially touched. If you use this app with the Navonics app, you have the best value in boating/fishing electronics period. The interface still needs a lot of work but I can now live with it. The only big omission now is no real time only display. Come on Vexilar, give me a five star update soon.
Update: with the real time bar now bigger and color coded I really love SonarPhone and product. This is something I asked for and they said they would do it and they did. So why not five stars yet? The interface is still not great. It would be so much better if they just used the built in iOS interfaces for the menus. For example when changing chart speed if you want to go from say 60% to 100% you have to make four large swipes where with the iOS selection wheels you could do it in one simple slide. Good thing menu items aren't frequently changed though so…

I am very pleased with the product and SonarPhone that comes with it is nice. SonarPhone has good functionality and just like it says gives you the visual display like higher priced depth finders. Having the ability to use more than one device at a time is also a nice feature. It seems somewhat laggy at times but overall it is minor when it occurs. SonarPhone seems older looking but that is understandable due to older and other devices that can run it which is nice that i can use my old iPhone 4 when my 6s plus runs out of battery or just as a backup. I give SonarPhone a 2 thumbs up overall and a 4 star rating. 👍👍

SonarPhone seem useless if you need to use your iPad in landscape mode. It will only open in vertical mode, won’t let you do the iPads own split screen function, and it doesn’t seem to connect to the navionics app at all. Everything online said I should be able to see depth while on my navionics app but no such luck so far. Worried I just wasted $150

I have the iPhone 11 and SonarPhone looks old. I have hard time reading the top and bottom because it doesn’t fit right on the screen.

Today, I’m Trying To Find A Lacrosse Ball Using A Net In A Pond, So If You Want To Get Extremely Wet Or Die Trying To Hunt A Ball Go Ahead, So I Was Searching For A Sonar App To Find The Ball, Then I Concluded SonarPhone Was A Hoax.... I Stood In On Position And The It Was Showing It Getting Deeper. Fakest App I Have Ever Used.

Don’t waste the storage on ur phone for this it tells me when I’m on land that I’m on water and it is deep and if u watch the sonar is shows the same pattern

I tried this unit out on the back of a Ranger Bass boat and compared it to a Humming Bird depth finder and found the display to be the same. Two issues I had problems with: 1. The one suction cup could not hold the transducer during normal run speeds across the lake . The transducer would turn sideways . 2. When going into screen settings any changes made were difficult to undo. I had difficulty getting the settings display to close. Overall I feel that with time I will become a better operator but for now I give this unit four stars.

Great product, allows me to have a sonar on all my boats without buying more than on unit. I have a T Box on my bass boat and a T Pod for shore and pier fishing. Would like to see a option where you can hide on screen control buttons, that would allow screen to be bigger and give you a 7" graph on a iPad.

I use the fish finder for inshore fishing and it works great. Hit some deep channels and it read the bottom fairly well. Wish it had more features than just sonar but it's great so far.

Was a great app until the last update. Now when you open SonarPhone , the buttons that are suppose to be used are visible (blue) with no writing in the box indicating what the blue buttons do. Only way I can navigate from the main screen is remembering what the buttons are for. PLEASE FIX THIS! It's annoying.

SonarPhone works great for the master but during the slave it says it disconnects from wifi a lot even though my iPad or iPhone is still connected to the box Would give it 5stars if it would work on the slave.
