Buoy Finder NOAA NDBC Reviews

BuoyFinderNOAANDBC does not function as advertised. It does not display the data shown in the screen prints on the iPhone or the Apple Watch. Very disappointing.

Living a bike ride away from the beach, I was excited to download BuoyFinderNOAANDBC and have it on my watch for beach trips. Unfortunately the data that I wanted and reason I downloaded it in the first place (ocean temps, wave info, conditions, etc.) does not register on the watch. All that it sh... Show more ows is the air temp, which comes standard (with more info) on the Apple Watch. Total disappointment. I want my money back.

Hard to navigate and not easy to access information. Not to mention there isn’t much information to access. I don’t need to know the weather but rather the ocean conditions. Doesn’t play well with watch either. Wish I could return it.

Total waste of money, I bought this with the intentions of being able to view buoy data on my watch but it does not display anything. I emailed the developer and got a response that I needed to update BuoyFinderNOAANDBC , the last available update was 2 years ago. Don’t buy.

It used to be ad free last week when I purchased it, now the latest update brings this horrible ad banners with it.

App was supposed to give wave heights and time like it shows in pictures I of course opted to buy the pack of 4 apps such a waste of $$ false advertising and the other 3 apps do the same thing and I can get the same thing from crappy weather app included on all iPhones

Was expecting to be be able to see ocean temp on the watch app like in the photos. Can only see weather photo & description of weather conditions on watch. Phone app is good and informative (limited info, but I'm sure it's accurate) but info can be found on other apps for free. If you search, ... Show more most other apps like this get their info via API from NOAA. Conclusion, waste of $ and useless app for watch, look elsewhere for phone app.

1. We live on the beach. BuoyFinderNOAANDBC gives water temp for our town but does not tell you what offshore buoy it comes from. It is not the surf temp for the location named (we have measured it with the lifeguard's thermometer), and you have no idea where (offshore?) it comes from.

Let’s me know ahead a time what the water temp is. Especially early spring and late fall. Have to be a little warm for paddle boarding.

Trying to figure out and plot Stripers success relative to water temp and conditions. BuoyFinderNOAANDBC is going to be a huge help.

But numbers need to be bigger

Use BuoyFinderNOAANDBC extensively through two hurricanes,....
beach living has its costs,... knowing where the surge is
and how fast it’s moving (because BuoyFinderNOAANDBC shows you both)

I kayak allot and this gives me better details about water temperature and how much wind. A must have if you go on the water much.

Love BuoyFinderNOAANDBC. It has the information I’m looking for before I head out fishing or to the beach. It provides current information for the closest buoy to my location.
