Great concept but there's no way I can separate my two kids numbers on their swings. You have to use different bats in order to differentiate. The problem with that is the historical numbers showing improvement in the different metrics include data from all bats, in other words, it's impossible to analyze one of my boys progress because both of my boys numbers are mixed together. Would give it 1 star as it is also difficult to use and BlastBaseball should clearly explain what each metric means when you click on it (small pop up box with an explanation and links to more info). Just a horrible user experience. I wouldn't recommend to anybody. Making me want to look into Diamond Kinetics.

I want to like BlastBaseball and service but I can’t. The service has a lot of promise and the data it collects can be very useful but it doesn’t do much good when BlastBaseball is so unstable. I have lost a lot of video on more than one occasion and the only suggestion from the company is to delete and reinstall BlastBaseball . The interface is not particularly intuitive and it is very unstable while In use. It is also very curious to me that BlastBaseball is written for iOS but the web version (which is needed for a number of things) does not work on Safari.

This still needs a lot of work.

Such a tease. It flirts with being consistently good, but BlastBaseball is more consistent at turning off in the middle of training. In addition, the frustration when BlastBaseball itself won’t open back up and just will close and exit out of itself while it is allegedly initializing is beyond disappointing for the price of membership. BlastBaseball offers many insights the naked eye can’t offer, however the inconsistency of BlastBaseball to run smoothly is not worth the headache.

Love BlastBaseball. Version 5 takes a little getting used to for users used to previous versions but the additional features are probably worth the trouble. Version 5 has been a little unstable for me which gets pretty frustrating (and the only reason I don’t give it 5 stars) but hopefully the next update will address that. Overall a great app.

Bought the $120 sensor, thought that would be enough. Go to download BlastBaseball , coach mode only works on iOS. Buy iOS device. Each kid has to have a $60 blast subscription. Half the stats, including the 3 blast thinks are most important aren’t included unless you buy a subscription. I don’t mind paying for stuff but tell me upfront, not after I bought what I thought was all inclusive.

I love BlastBaseball and all the other Blast Baseball apps. But I can’t stand having to use portrait mode to use BlastBaseball . These should be able to switch between portrait and landscape for iPad. If you are setting the iPad up on a tripod and you keep having too rotate the mount it gets extremely frustrating!!!

Love what this has done for my swing! The only problem is BlastBaseball itself will crash causing me to have to delete and re download, which means some of my swings aren’t uploaded to the cloud

Pretty amazing instant feedback after contact with the ball. My son likes to use it with his friends for bat speed completions in the backyard. Highly recommend if you have A Basbeall player in your family...

All the people crying about the bat they have not being on the list are the players with 9 wrist bands on and 2 innings 1 AB of playing time.

I talked with Blast Baseball and set up a coaches account. Now I can track all of the kids on my team. Even thinking of getting them a motion sensor so they can train on their own!!!

6/5/2017 update: it continues to go down hill. Updated to the new update and now it constantly crashes, heck I can't even get past the opening screen. It has. Come so frustrating to use it has turned into a 100+ dollar paper weight. This sensor would be a whole heck of a lot more useful if it worked with GoPro and then BlastBaseball . I'd rather the GoPro take a hit from a shank ball or god knows what as opposed to a iPhone costing 3x as much.

It was a lot easier, less cumbersome and more fluid to use when it first came out. Now they are trying to get it to do way too much at the same time on the same screen. I dunno, I liked the older layout better. It's too busy now.

There needs to be more in app interactivity/explanation. I don't want to sign up for a service, I bought the service that I want. But there should be infographics created and modeled/animated in a way that kids and adults can understand.

Example: blast factor.... is this like a shock and awe term to induce that one will blast it out of the park if their number pegs out, so then what effects this blast factor, hips, hands, feet rotation, snap, holding your tongue just right or what??? SHOW ME/KIDS in a simple way, from the mechanics of body/hand etc. to how the balls trajectory is effected.

Dunno, if they want to improve on things, go back to the simpler interface and then perform the above IN APP AND NOT HAVING TO DOWNLOAD EVERY FREAKING TIME infographics of some sort.

Love BlastBaseball! Next level information to help better myself as a player and enables coaches to better train me. Highly recommend!

I use a Louisville slugger 33/30 solo right. It’s a pretty popular bat, a lot of people use it... but they still don’t have it under the Louisville section when selecting your bat.

I noticed that a lot of the popular bats today are not an option within BlastBaseball and the selection of bats seems somewhat outdated. I personally use the 2019 Easton project 3 ADV BBCOR and was pretty disappointed to see the bat was not on BlastBaseball considering it’s a top of the line BBCOR bat from a top company. Please consider fixing this

I was using the power sensor app. Was forced to switch to the Blastmotion app to continue, EVEN THOUGH ALL THE REVIEWS WERE BAD AND FOR WARNED ABOUT THE CRASHING. Well good news, I was forced to give up an app that worked for one that doesn’t even open up. The Blast motion app won’t even open and now I lost all my stored data. This was a great product, when it worked!!!!!

The device is great and the feedback is super helpful - when it works. I spend as much time trying to get BlastBaseball to start, restarting it when it freezes and trying to get the videos to upload as I do swinging the bat.

I love BlastBaseball but it keeps continuing to crash mid session and then when i go to download the offline swings it crashes again. BlastBaseball urgently needs an update with bug fixes! Please

BlastBaseball/program is one of the best investments u can make if u r trying to become a baseball player...hands down

This product crashes and often misses swings. When it works the feedback is very helpful

I like how it shows you all the metrics and the automatic all no and video cutting but it lacks the ability to teach and how to correct things. There needs to be a coaching aspect to that teaches you how to improve results. For example maybe it shows drills and says take 5 swings doing this drill. And it follows you and gives you feedback. Other than that it's a great app but it does lack in the coaching aspect.

I was using the Power Sensor app, and it worked great. So, when I came back to use before baseball started again, I was forced to use the blast motion. BlastBaseball does work at all! Please fix this

Unable to capture swings with bat speed over 90mph. Essentially worthless for anyone with high bat speed, simply errors out. Would recommend for 12 year olds.

Update sounds good, but now the application crashes upon loading. This issue must be fixed asap
