Constantly freezes or is choppy. Videos for gold or boosts only work half the time and you lose your round if you force close MLBTapSportsBaseball2019 , especially in club vs club matchups. Pop ups are ridiculous. I was told by their support staff they would talk to their IT to fix the issues, but was never fixed. You have to turn off in app purchases to disable it. Seems ridiculous you should have to do this on your phone for one app. If you accidentally purchase something from their pop ups (it just takes one touch) the company refuses to give you a refund. Poor, horrible customer service and pretty shady business practices as well. I got a refund from Apple and got to keep the accidentally purchased player, but this only worked twice, and I had to beg them the second time. They always blame your phone or phone service when videos don’t work, though I’ve had the issues with full service, on and off of WiFi. Many of my team members have had the same issues. I stopped being a shareholder in this company because of how terrible and dishonest of a company it is. I almost didn’t play this years version but decided to give it a try. I regret my decision. Gameplay gets ridiculous when you scorch a ball up the middle and suddenly a defensive player gets superhuman speed and comes out of nowhere to dive and make an out. It’s pretty stupid. I’m surprised Glu has had this much success with the game with how awful they treat people and how dishonest they are.

This game could be absolutely amazing. But it is not it is by far pay to win if you do not pay you do not win. You can have great players and if you don’t pay you’re not gonna win. Homerun derby for example doesn’t matter how good you at the ball how consistent you are all that matters is how much you pay in gold. If you pay gold you’ll win if you don’t you’ll lose. That’s that the developers know what they’re doing with this game, and say that there’s nothing in the programming like that but I assure you there is everything in the program like that, the game will only set you up so far and then it will break you down. It’s programmed to make you think that you’re a good player and that you can beat the other team you’re not even playing another team you’re playing all bots all computer-generated teams there’s no skill involved it’s all set you up so you pay. The way it does it is by making you mad so you break out your wallet and pay for gold.

don’t give them a dollar. The game gives you nothing the developers give you nothing. They set you up to lose. Tech-support is pretty amazing with their explanations on bugs or any problems that you’re having you’ll get one of two answers either it’s your connection or your band with or it’s due to outside vendors and it’s out of their control. Oh how convenient. Just passed the buck.

It is so bad I could write a hundred pages about how bad it is and still not cover everything. I’ll just summarize it. The pitching is impossible. They could throw a pitch the goes perfectly straight until the last ten feet when I goes up 5 feet and looks like it will hit me and then somehow gets back in the zone. There’s also the fact that it’s impossible to know if it low. It shows the ball it the dirt right before it goes across the plate so I start swinging and learn in the middle of my swing that I’m swinging at a ball. And sometimes the ball will go straight through my bat and my arm?!?!?! And I have a batter who has about 100 power and I swing at a fastball sown the middle of the zone and hit a slow roller to pitcher or someone else in the infield. There’s also the fact that the fielders know exactly when I’m going to hit the ball no matter what. I’ll hit a pop fly into deep centerfield and the center fielder it exactly where the ball is going to be as soon as I hit the ball. Or they will run towards the wall and no look at the ball and catch it with out looking at it. And it will show the ball hitting their elbow or arm yet they catch it any ways. And the base running is horrible. I’m have someone on first base and I’m batting and get a line out and the runner on first base keeps running and gets out. They also swing super slow. Seriously who swings that slow. The farthest homerun I’ve ever had I’d 2 feet over the fence.

But apparently that was wishful thinking. As many others have said, the bar is pretty low for a quality baseball experience on a mobile device, however, the gameplay here is kind of insulting. I understand that it’s “Tap sports” baseball, tappity tap and all that, but the pitching was obviously developed by people who have never played, or even watched, the game of baseball. Low attribute pitchers throwing 102 mph sinkers that break hellaciously, in the 8th inning? I’ve never seen that. The hilarious part is when you realize that 90% of the pitchers in this game have fastballs from 96+ and curveballs/sliders that are 85+. That’s only the case for a few real pitchers. But fine, the speed doesn’t matter in the game, ok. But the break on the pitches in asinine. It’s unhittable sometimes, literally, you can know exactly what’s coming and you won’t hit it because of the sheer ridiculousness of the break on the pitch. And it’s actually worse when the opposing pitcher is tired because they’re so erratic, you have no clue what’s going to break into the zone and what’s gonna bounce 5 feet I front on the plate.

I really don’t care that it’s such a “grind for gold” game, that doesn’t bother me, it’s the absurd oof the in game hitting and pitching that makes this game garbage. When you have a batter with “100+ overall”, and your facing an exhausted nobody pitcher, and you can’t square up a pitch that you know is coming, the game becomes a joke.

This is your average mobile game in 2019. Lots of pop up micro transactions and ads. To better your team you really just want to spend real life money on lootboxes for the chances of getting a decent player. You can only level your players so much before the premium currency becomes mandatory to improve players. The gameplay feels very scripted and preplanned. When your batting, the game will lag and get choppy on you so pitches just teleport into the catchers mitt making it impossible to hit. Even without that, pitchers will throw 105mph fastballs or insane pitches that defy the laws of science. Its pretty brutal to play.

Worst part of the game besides the heavy reliance of micro transactions is that Glu will straight up ban you for no reason whatsoever. I logged in one day and tried to join a club and couldnt so i hit up customer support and they told me ive been flagged for cheating and have had my account restricted limiting the gameplay features(the only important ones) i can use. CS wont even tell you what you did that is considered cheating(mind you that i never did anything cheatingwise and literally just played the game here and there). They wont review your case, cant make changes, or do anything to help you because their system is “flawless and never makes mistakes” yet forums are filled with people like me being banned for no reason

Look. I love baseball. I loved the first few days I played this game. It’s addicting. Then you realize...they try to hook you in and make you pay to get more out of the game. When really if they made a fair game that was $5 I might buy it. However, the reality is, they tempt you with satisfaction of a good game, but they pull the rug out from under you when you realize your team isn’t good enough to do anything anymore. Believe me...if you just downloaded it, it’s great. If you play more than a few games you start to realize this game is BS, just like every other game nowadays. Furthermore, like every other game, they supplement their “watch video ads, get rewards” scheme with more games that boast the same scheme. Jokes on them. It’s not worth spending $5, just to spend another $5 on later. I did everything for free until I finally realized it’s a scheme. No longer will I allow this game to waste my time with ads, ads, ads, and a very unsatisfactory game play model. I feel bad for the players in the MLBPA who allow themselves and other players to be subjugated to this pyramid scheme of ads for play. I’m done. Give me a quality baseball game without all the extra bs, you have yourself a customer. Otherwise, take your non-sustainable, player extorting, horribly poor graphics, unrealistic gameplay elsewhere.

I played this game loyally for the past few years, and really enjoyed it. But a month ago there tech support blocked my account out of nowhere for “suspicious activity”. When I questioned them to explain or double check their findings they said there’s nothing they can do and still have my account locked. I swear I have never cheated on this game and have Zero idea how one would even go about doing that, and instead of fixing there mistake they doubled down. Since I’m 100 percent sure I have never done anything suspicious/ or cheated, it’s very frustrating when no one will listen and being punished for nothing. As much money and time I spent on this game you would assume the GLU tech team would listen to my concerns and proof of my innocence and that they want to punish the correct people but that’s not the case. They completely screwed up and refuse to admit that or fix my account. So if you don’t want to randomly and wrongly be accused of cheating and kicked ouT from using all the main modes this game offers then either cross your fingers or play a different game because playing the game the right way is no guarantee that they will let you keep playing.

I know it’s an iPhone game and graphics aren’t gonna be the best but I really didn’t care about the graphics if you hit a inside park hit and one of the outfielders catch the ball it’s always a fly out if I hit an inside the Parker I would be on third or second before the ball even hit the mitt and even if you are slow and your going on second or third then stay on first there’s also the times where you hit so close like almost on the padding then they somehow catch it I would be on home base then you get to see your guy going for a light jog around bases in REAL MLB they’re not going for a light jog they’re sprinting they’re hearts out then u looking at the game and it says fly out and you’re guy literally hasn’t even made to first base even if u were slow you’d atleast be I second or third but nope not you’re guy MLB players run like they’re running from a bomb the people in the game are like running like it’s a nice day out and taking a light jog around they're block then when u wanna hit the ball u hit it and in you’re head you’re just like it’s gunna be out of the park and then 1 second passes by the ball hasn't even made it to the pitchers grass and it’s just thrown to first and you’re out and 1 more thing I play on an iPhone XR and sometimes the double plays are so laggy thank you for ur time

The game glitches all the time, but only while I’m doing things that cost gold (money). The game will take my gold, but won’t let me play the round I spent real life money on. Even with screenshots, customer service always says, “I’ll report this issue, we hope to continue to get your support.” But NEVER does a thing to fix the issues or make up for it. They act like it comes out of their pocket directly. They blame WiFi or LTE services, but it only happens when I’m using real life money. I’ve never had these issues with any other game I play on my phone...not once.

You also only have 2 hours to collect certain rewards as well, so unless you’re unemployed or a child playing the game, you often miss out on things you earned. We can’t all be on our phones all day long. Even with proof they won’t give you the items. I don’t understand why replacing things is so hard for them to do. Their customer service is well spoken every time they’re contacted, but they never make up for game issues or “glitches”. I’ve never met a game/app that is thirstier for money and never makes up for issues. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The game itself is fun and addicting, if customer service wasn’t so cheap and the game wasn’t so thirsty for money, it would be 5 stars all day long.

While I admit it can be fun at times, it’s horribly inconsistent. To begin with, you essentially have no control over your plate appearance except when to swing. If there was a way to incorporate a mechanism that puts more control of how the ball is hit it would solve a lot of issues. Instead, your hit is completely random and at the will of the game, a perfectly timed hit can be a homer in or it can be a dribbler to the pitcher. Next, the pitching is atrocious. For starters, it’s very difficult to tell if even a fastball is going to be in the dirt, or slightly off the plate, etc. The off speed pitches are even worse, I swear the SAME EXACT PITCH will be a ball one second but a strike the next, a curveball will cross the plate and be a ball but a curveball will go around the plate and be a strike. And it seems impossible to time them up, no matter how perfectly i think I’ve timed it up, I’m always wrong, it’s always a miss so I can’t tell if it’s just a ball or a “poorly” timed swing. In general swinging can be frustrating because you can literally watch the ball go straight through the bat. Basically, the game is very inconsistent and makes my blood pressure rise as much as anything and needs some major changes before I’d call it a great game.

I’ve been a big fan of the game. Until someone suggested it to me, I hadn’t played any video games since Super Nintendo. Ken Griffey jr baseball ‘94 was the last baseball game I had played. For several months, however, this game provided good stress relief. 3 days ago, I would have given it 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately, on Friday things changed. After approximately 3,200 games, I realized that at some point I suddenly couldn’t win a game. It’s been progressing to the point that I can now barely get a base hit, let alone score a run. I’ve been attempting to play on to see if it will go back to normal, but I’ve currently lost over 60 games in a row. I hadn’t been counting until recently, but estimate that I’ve been no-hit in at least a dozen of those. I’m constantly shut out and rarely exceed 1 run and 2 or 3 hits per game. Even my legend player, whose lifetime average was .430 with 1,284 home runs when this started, has had multiple 0-20+ slumps. His average has dropped to .427 and he’s only hit 1 home run in over 60 games. I’m giving it 3 stars now but if this continues I’d have to give it 0. It’s simply not worth playing if you can’t score, let alone win. I’m curious as to whether anyone has experienced this. I haven’t seen any such reviews.

I’ve set a policy for myself to never spend money on in-app purchases for mobile games. Which is the only reason I haven’t gone broke playing this game. I gave it three stars because it actually captures the baseball experience quite well, and as a baseball fan I enjoy this very much. The upgrading and strengthening of your team is also an enjoyable experience. However, the company behind the game is incredibly thirsty for your money. I’m more clumsy than the average person, so I sometimes tap a button I didn’t mean to tap. Sometimes, that button makes me spend gold. It ticks me off so much because they don’t give you a warning and your gold is spent immediately. I try to save up my gold but the company is trying to make me spend it, then spend real money as a result to get my gold back. Which I’m not going to do. But my gold gets lost anyway.

PLEASE, Glu Games, implement a warning screen for any gold purchase that isn’t a player upgrade. I wish I could enjoy this game and save my gold, since there are very few good and authentic baseball games on mobile. However, thanks to your greediness, I find it hard to do so.

I have been playing this franchise since day 1. It’s very fun a lot of the time, but there are some serious issues that never seem to be addressed. The cost to buy extra XP is very high. For instance, there’s times when you can spend 500 gold bars on an XP reward box, but it only gives you 450 XP. You don’t even get back in XP what you spent in gold. It’s no different trying to get a good player for your roster. It’s a rip-off. Next, if you plan on playing the season mode, be prepared to lose. Whether you sim the games or play them out, the game will make sure you lose 60%-70% of your games. Doesn’t matter if you’re playing the worst team in the league. You’ll loss 3 out of 4 or get swept. What’s the point in even playing it? They won’t adjust the difficulty level and it doesn’t matter if all of you’re players are leveled to the max, you’re gonna lose. It’s stupid and pitiful. I mainly stick to single games, club events, and special events. I used to wanna play all the time, but the cost of things and the lost cause that is the season mode have made it difficult for me to wanna log on as much anymore.

I personally give this game 0 stars. After having my team flagged for cheating when I don’t. Starting over during the all star weekend from scratch get back to having all legends on my team and 2 prime players. Sign in to collect cvc reward and it’s like I am starting the game over from day 1. The customer service is of no help to helping me recover my team nor will they admit it’s their fault the server glitched and I lost my stuff. They say I deleted MLBTapSportsBaseball2019 . Actually they’re correct, that I will be deleting MLBTapSportsBaseball2019 if I don’t get my team back. I have proof of screen shots and everything yet they still won’t help. Worst customer service I have ever had. Been playing this game since 2017 and was a huge fan until the 2019 all star break and even more of a non fan since just a few days ago. Glu is the worst to get anything solved or even own up to what they screw up, it’s always my/ our fault the game has issues. News flash... I/ we didn’t create the game so how is it our faults?!?!

At first I really wannted this game but when I saw the reviews I was really worried but they were either lying or their device is just idk the only thing I would add to this game is maybe add a fielding part and not just batting like if you see a ball coming there can be like a thing that says make shortstop catch the ball or tag blablanla but other then that great game just maybe a fielding part that’s itjust more deitals really like I also think you should add if the player gets hit by the ball in the ribs or something like Correa make like and ambulance come or something like that and say then idk gorge springer got hurt replace him! And the last sugestment is to add more players like Correa or Altuve springer and just more! Oh I know I said that this is the last one but I’m a girl And I really want you to make a softball game or softball section in the game for girls that will really make my day other then all my suggestions this is a great game and should definitely get it
