After sending multiple support messages and not receiving any response, and not being able to find another way to get help, it honestly feels like Silo may no longer be actively supported.

I signed up for the Lifetime Free (Plus) offer, but when I log in on desktop, the subscription does not carry over. I have also experienced several ongoing issues while using Silo itself.

I would really appreciate any clarification or assistance you can provide.

Made an account. Canceled months ago. Still getting charged, and support email does not work.

Said lifetime free on AppAdvice… then you get to the paywall and it automatically puts you on free trial. Should I go back? I look at the directions, it says look at the very bottom and small tiny letters and you’ll see free lifetime, I go back, no such thing it’s not there. Sorry, but if you make it that hard and then you don’t even have what you are offering then you are not a good company.

I got the free lifetime promotion which had a value of $499. Now I am on the plus tier and after 6 free uses, it asks for an upgrade and more money. This has been going on for a week now, so I know I never reached a daily limit. Not even the 3X they promise. No way to contact the developer about this issue. The developer seems to have pulled a bait and switch tactic. Free lifetime doesn’t mean anything.

***Followup to Developer Response: I downloaded Silo on the very day it was supposedly free so I have to state that I still believe something's off here and imo, it's not me and I still say: What a waste of time. ******ORIGINAL REVIEW What a waste of time: I downloaded Silo today to take advantage of the "today only" free lifetime subscription promo offer -- but Silo did not offer that option. Sadly, this is not the first time this issue has reared it's ugly head with various other subscription based apps. Oh well, at least this "review" will be posted so others will be warned before downloading...🤞 P.S. I saw this offer on "App Advice" and also today on Apple's App Store, verified that the lifetime sub. was indeed posted as "$ .00

On December 29, 2025, I downloaded from AppFree the this app App with the free lifetime subscription to both my Ipads and my IPhone which was offered free within the 24 promotional period. I checked my IOS Devices under Settings-Media Purchases which reflected $0.00. I followed the onboarding instructions and got through the second slash screen which required a passcode registration through Apple, Google or another company. I selected Apple for each device. Next, I checked the passcodes under the Apple App Passwords which clearly showed three different passcodes. I thought they would all be identical as I have no intention of using only one device at a time. Only once was I able to launch this app on one IPad. I closed Silo and tried to use it again but I was confronted with almost the same second Splash Page requiring to register again with Apple, Google, etc. I saw a note that said passcode created (my first attempt) with the option to create a new passcode. I deleted the this app App three times and tried to register. No success on any of my devices. I wasted 2 hours 15 minutes for nothing. I submitted a request for help through the Apple App Store “Contact The Developer “ and am awaiting a reply.
I’m most disappointed. I reviewed other user reviews which seemed positive and for that I’m happy they had success.
At this point I can only offer one star as my evaluation but will be happy to amend this rating if Silo Developer responds and can help me to get the this app App to properly work on my IOS Devices all running IOS 26.2

Private or not, keep getting a “Something went wrong.” error message. Doesn’t connect or work.

It’s very frustrating to sit and do your little discussion whatever only to have it say I can’t access certain models or servers, and it turns out to be a waste of time using the service. I’m deleting Silo.

Left bad review before but know it works perfect

Unlike other apps Silo is actually private. I use it daily!

I asked this this app chat several questions, but then I got to the point where it said rate limit exceededUpgrade to increase limits. I opted for a lifetime option and I was surprised to see that message. Do I have unlimited access so far? It’s been a great app to ask questions.

this app gives great answers to stock market queries regarding individual stocks, searching across a wide spectrum of available data and collating it into a clear, precise answer. I use Silo often and found it better than AI searches through the general browsers.

I didn't love the data collection guarantees any provider was giving me. I might be in the minority here, but that extra safety is well worth it. I don't need to keep thinking about what I can and can't say to Silo .

I’ve been concerned about privacy in ChatGPT ever since the courts ordered them to retain and send user chats to NY Times. Privacy is a fundamental human right and Silo verifiably delivers it.

Works really well. I use it as alternative to ChatGPT when I want to ask private things

If you value your data privacy above all else use Silo

This is awesome, ive been wanting truly private chat for a while. Provably encryption is not offered by any other product. This is quite cool
