I don’t care how good an app is. If I commit to paying after a 3 day trial and I get a notification that I have been charged $9.99 before I even get to see if HomeStyleAI is worth using, I’m done. Don’t call it a free 3 day trial just to trick people out of $10, it’s a shady practice and it makes you look like your app isn’t good enough to buy so you have to swindle people. There are enough scams in the world, I shouldn’t expect one downloading an app.

This was not what lookin for . I need an app to help w inspirations w rearranging furniture as this is an odd shaped room ( long and narrow w a fireplace, staircase, and front door entrance ..
but Basic chat gpt was better for me when asked to donate task.
It completely missed the existing structures like windows and doors when applying a new image so not at all useful. The space was off entirely.

This was a total waste of time.

Couldn’t even use my free trial because HomeStyleAI simply refused to upload anything

HomeStyleAI kept changing the layout of my rooms. I wanted interior design ideas, not for HomeStyleAI to remove windows and doors and change the dimensions of the space.

The designs take forever to generate and if you tell HomeStyleAI to redesign one of their existing photos, you have to wait 4 minutes for nothing to happen.
Don’t waste your money

Took a pic of my open space dining and living room. The photo that came back was 100% not my space. Nothing in my space translated like other apps do perfectly.

HomeStyleAI works OK in the sense that you upload a picture and there’s some decent options to generate some ideas, but in my opinion, the delivery isn’t revolutionary. There isn’t anything that HomeStyleAI does that any general AI application can’t do for you on its own.

My biggest gripe with HomeStyleAI is that there’s very little customization available once you get an idea that sort of works. You have to start over from scratch every time you want something different. I’d like to see an option where you can keep the current design but tell it to make small alterations, such as to keep the wall color but make the desk larger in the office. You also have to deal with normal AI hallucinations. Like it’ll add a vaulted ceiling in my room or change the room layout entirely.

Personally, I’d save the money and put it towards the premier version of any true generative AI program.
