Cost money and useless

After some songs I have to pay for a subscription for the full library and it’s only very few extra songs after going subscription. This would have been nice to know before paying the money.

Un-optimized

It has cool features - and is easy to navigate but three issues I have that just really kill it.
1. The biggest one, they don’t break the songs down into sections. Yeah, I can create custom loops but then I find myself wasting so much time doing loops figuring out where to place them to learn the section 😩 - it’s the simplest fix.
2. You can create custom loops but you can’t save them. Takes me back up top, if I could save my custom loops I’d probably be ok with the first one (not really every song should still have dedicated sections). But if I wanted my own loop I have to create it every time.
3. It doesn’t read the notes perfectly when using the speakers on my key keyboard . Maybe it’s my keyboard, I ended up buying a midi cable and connecting it to my phones. Seems to work better now. But still.

App has potential

This is why I don’t like Ai

The reason I do not like Artie at all is because whenever I press the key, it doesn’t pick up the note and I have to continuously press the button multiple times to get it to pick the note up. It’s very frustrating My fingers are bruised because of how many times I have to press the note for it to pick up. I do not recommend Artie….😐

Not for me

I’m a chord player, I wanted to learn some new runs and flow patterns. This is mostly finger picking. Also did the trial and immediately got a notification from Apple Pay it charged me.
Tried Artie played with it for a bit, it froze, I swiped out of it and it won’t reopen just gets stuck on the loading screen. Canceled trial and uninstalling

Poor song selection

For 150 a year, this is wildly overpriced. Very small selection of songs to learn from and the ones they give you are horrible. I understand they are a new app but maybe developers shouldn’t have released an app if it’s not ready. Not for that price anyway. Much better options out there.

Not a good app

Artie charged up front if you signed up for the 7day trial so you get stuck with the charge if you don’t like it. I have tried Artie and don’t like it at all but now I am stuck with the whole year and I am only a day into the 7 day trial. Terrible marketing.

Ok but limited songs and doesn’t pick up notes smoothly

Artie is okay for those who want to skip the sheet music. It is limited in songs, and Artie can be frustrating as it doesn’t always pick up the notes when you are playing all the correct notes at the right time. I have found that I have had to hit a note on my piano very hard several times before it will register to continue playing. When this happens I almost prefer sheet music so that I don’t have to wait on Artie . Concept is nice but definitely needs some improvement for more smoother play.

Difficulty Levels

I’m a returning piano player, not a total beginner, and I found the early song selection overwhelming. Many of the “easy” songs introduced black keys immediately, which made it much harder to focus on timing and hand position while also learning Artie interface. I had deleted SimplyPiano because I had assumed this one would be quicker and less time-consuming but it has proven so far to be the opposite.

Unless I’m missing something, where are the more user-friendly songs and why is Artie introducing sharps and flats right off the bat?

Not picking up every note

I use a 88 key digital piano with build in speakers and when I practice it doesn’t pick up all the notes that are being played. What would make this piano teaching app better is to add a midi keyboard connector via Bluetooth.

More sign in options

i feel like maybe a separate sign in option BESIDES apple would be helpful, as i would like to use Artie without needing to tie anything to apple — would love to use Artie with that feature though!

I love this app but here’s some suggestions

This is the best piano app i’ve used. I haven’t used the one that you have to pay because I don’t have the money but I would use it if I had the money.

I do believe on fur elise measure 7 had a mistake. On the first note of the right hand I believe is supposed to be a D but on Artie is a E.

I also think it was be really cool and helpful if you could put some way to know when to use the pedel and what peddle. I’m not sure if Artie is different for someone who said they are new to piano but I think explaining sharps and flats would be very helpful for beginners.

Also I think if it made a sound when you made a mistake would be great because sometimes i need to look at the keys and I look up and it’s on a part i’m already past so then i have to find that and redo it. 💜

Great app!

In a very short time span I was able to learn a song! I like that Artie doesn't force you to do boring drills that you can already play

Amazing app

Bombastic app! I’ve learned so many things in such a short time that I can’t do anything else but recommend it;)

Awesome app!

I’m loving Artie to help me learn piano. I am a beginner and it’s been nice to prop my phone up and follow along while playing my keyboard. It’s nice to track my progress as well. Worth it.

Acknowledgement

Just open your intro is impressive even though I have not started using your program.

This was actually a great app

It has bunch of songs but just the thing that ruins it is the adds that’s it😃👍

Limitd selection but fun for a whilr

Very limited selection and they are not adding any new songs. Good for few months but then you will need to find a better app

Features

The feature and color is so outstanding, vibration and other available.

This app is brilliant!

You can really feel it was built by real piano teachers. The wait mode is a gamechanger for me

Learning How To Play My Own Keyboard

I’m going to give this my best shot for learning how to play music
