Greedy app

If I could give LanguageLearning zero stars I would. I think my least favorite thing about trying to find a language learning app these days is trying to find a non-greedy language learning app. There’s no reason that they can’t provide at least one free conversation a day. It’s completely all subscription and not only is it all subscription. It’s an expensive subscription. Don’t waste your time on LanguageLearning. The only reason it’s so expensive is because they spend all of their money. On advertisement and can’t provide any actual real lessons. if someone’s telling you to download LanguageLearning, it’s probably an ad. Or a rich person who doesn’t have concept of money because who’s spending all of this money on pretty much just ChatGPT. I would understand if this was an app that had a lot of reading and accessed new information that we don’t have before. All it is, is just someone who came up with the idea of putting ChatGPT into another language. This is absolutely ridiculous and I’m so tired of greedy apps like this. so take your one star, even though you deserve zero.

…okay 💲

안녕하세요— basically, while i understand why it’s a paid subscription service, as AI is extremely expensive and costly on the environment- i’m not the biggest fan on how there isn’t at least a free version. For example, with this one app called Hello Talk- they start you out the first few days on a free trial of the VIP service, after a couple of days, it goes away. You still have access to LanguageLearning , just limited services. I feel like this might be a good add, something where there’s at least some type of free option. Even if it just lets you do one 5 minute conversation a day, or maybe the AI is a bit slower, or something— i just wish there was a free version.

Other than that, with the paid subscription, it really is a great app. I’m not gonna debate the costs of AI on the earth or anything; But LanguageLearning is very well made and while there’s a few bugs, the majority is pretty good and it definitely does help.

Good but having some issues

I tried LanguageLearning today and it seemed very good. I really like the immersive experience and I had seen good reviews. But for some reason when I finished the first lesson it would not load another lesson. I tried reinstalling and resetting my phone but nothing worked. I hope this can get fixed.

Paying

It's a good app I've seen people use it but I hate how I'd have to pay because my parents won't pay for it or let me pay so I have to find completely different apps. Maybe when I'm older I can use it but I feel like it'd be better if it were free for people who can't pay for it. Otherwise I'll use it when I'm older.

Concern

I do like LanguageLearning so far as I’m trying to learn French. However, LanguageLearning tends to bug out while the AI talks to me. It’ll cut off mid sentence, or ask me to repeat things and then the blue button gets stuck and my voice doesn’t register so I have to restart LanguageLearning and the lesson. I’d really appreciate a look into this bug as I’ve paid $15 to keep a monthly subscription. I don’t see myself keeping this if it’s not resolved soon as it’s frustrating and keeping me from being motivated.

Hire an exterminator for those bugs 🪲

There are definitely some bugs and kinks to be worked out!! I love using LanguageLearning but sometimes halfway through the conversation, the ai will freeze up and become unresponsive or will loop the same phrase over and over again. The only way I’ve found to deal with this problem is to completely end the conversation and start over. It’s okay when I’m just practicing dialogue but it is very inconvenient when I’m in a lesson. Once you get those bugs taken care of, it’s a five star app!!

Really nice but freezes often

I really like LanguageLearning so far, I purchased the monthly subscription and so far it’s really helpful with lessons and grammar and pronunciation. I think the price is pretty reasonable especially with all the lessons and tools you get access to. My only complaint is that LanguageLearning freezes so often which is probably just a glitch with the ai system that needs to be debugged but it’s a bit distracting and frustrating especially if you’re in the middle of a lesson or practicing dialogue sessions. I would give LanguageLearning 5 stars if this was not an issue.

Amazing but still buggy

An amazing speech practicing app. The AI bot is very contextual and can respond to any input. There are some bugs though where it gets stuck in a loop, says weird things, stops mid sentence, or fails to prompt me. I’m also not a fan of the timer kicking you out when it times down. It would be great if I was just prompted aside from the pop up at the bottom asking if I want to continue or just have the AI bot ask after a certain time.

Almost there

I really enjoy Pingo AI. I think there has been many improvements but also many bugs along the way. Sometimes the transcript doesn’t load or you’ll say it and the transcript has you saying it right but pingo tells you to try again. I hope there is many more additions and improvements in the future because the speaking practice is helpful! But I’m not sure if I’d pay for it again until it’s bug free!

it’s good!!

LanguageLearning is not like any other apps i’ve seen. i LOVEEE the layout of LanguageLearning and how there is SUCH A BIG VARIETY of conversations to choose from! i think that it has such a good potential, but i have one problem. the price. i’m sure the developers have seen this in other reviews and i also saw them too. i feel like there should be a free version, and i saw someone’s review, i don’t mind at all if it’s slower. maybe you could just get rid of some features for free users, like the speed of the ai, only 5 conversations a day, something like that! otherwise, LanguageLearning is really good, but please consider the idea about what i and others have said about the price! thank you for reading this! have a good day! (this was to the creators! LanguageLearning is still really amazing!)

Two teacher thumbs up

This is fantastic and produces so much contextual and comprehensible input for both the student and the teacher that will allow for reflection and practice. I wish there was a school rate or a teacher discount. I would be using this with every single student that I have.

I CANT HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION

Im sorry but i was doing a lesson until someone called me and it was a few hours later, i needed a subscription.. i have been wanting to learn korean but cant find the correct app to learn it on, and i trusted pingo ai to teach me it.. Look if u just make it free to learn, i would make that rating to a 5.. pls fix this pingo ai!

love it but the bugs are horrible

I can say within using LanguageLearning for under an hour the bugs are very much frequent and interrupt your learning quite often. Whenever you’re taking a lesson and you enter a voice respond it takes a while to calculate and suddenly kicks you out of your lessons which can become quite annoying because it doesn’t save where you left off so you must restart the lesson to resume where you’ve left off. I see amazing potential for LanguageLearning and really hope the bugs are fixed I can see it becoming very popular in the future. I’ve learned so much already from the small time i’ve spent on it and can see myself learning a lot more from LanguageLearning so although the bugs are annoying it’s still a great app and makes learning languages very easy!

Wow

I’ve been learning Italian on duolingo for 4 years about 10 minutes a day and have been a max subscriber for the past year. I can form sentences and read/write decently. I have no one to practice listening and speaking with. LanguageLearning filled that hole in my learning and the feedback it gives is actually useful.

Compared to duolingo, the AI is light years ahead and understands me perfectly even when I make mistakes. Jumpspeak is even worse than duolingo. After a month or two, if LanguageLearning is still going the way my first week has, I will likely cancel my duolingo subscription.

AMAZING 😭😭😭

I’ve been learning Chinese on and off for 8 years ever since I started watching “Empresses in the Palace”. As a single mom, it’s been hard for me to find time to practice and speaking has always made me nervous especially since I’ve never had anyone to practice with. LanguageLearning came just in time and I am soooo grateful. I feel I can really grow my Chinese listening and speaking skills at a way faster rate now. And being able to add to my already existing vocabulary is a GOD SEND…THANK YOU GUYS FOR MAKING LanguageLearning AND PLEASE NEVER STOP 💖

Best language app!

I have tried learning German with eight different language learning apps, and Pingo is far superior to any of them. I would say it’s better than all 8 combined. There’s just no comparison to being able to practice speaking using AI. It’s like having a real conversation with a German person, except AI is much nicer.

The best AI language learning app…

Pingo AI is by far the smartest, most intuitive AI language partner available. I’ve tried several similar apps, but this is the only one that speaks slow enough for me to understand and feels realistic enough to be an actual conversation. Each conversation is just challenging enough to be able to learn new vocabulary and get some high quality speaking practice every day while still being understandable. While the AI occasionally makes mistakes, it’s quite literally everything you need to become fluent. Much support for what you’re doing over there.

How I went from A2 to B1

This is one of the best intermediate methods of learning I’ve ever tried and it helped me break past a 6-month A2 plateau in French. The conversations are natural and organic and really allow you to challenge yourself with different scenarios and topics. Great application!

App deserves 100 stars!

I’m having a great time with LanguageLearning. I paid for the anual membership and if LanguageLearning continues operating positively, I’m going to keep paying for it and supporting Michael. This person truly cares about feedback and making sure LanguageLearning works well. LanguageLearning is for serious learners willing to invest money and time into their learning. Ai is expensive so you shouldn’t expect this great app to be free. There are other free Ai apps for you to use but you will not get the same quality as this one. I decided to budget differently this month in order to pay for LanguageLearning. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices in order to afford things we really want. And I want to speak Korean!

This is like… next level learning.

I’ve tried 3 other apps and this is the first time I feel a healthy challenge instead of just being spoon fed.
