This app is a dud at the moment

This app has only been available about 6 hours so I’ll update the review if it gets better but as it stands it appears they launched before they were ready. First I tried to log in as instructed in the email they sent the night before and was unable to. I had to email them to get that fixed. The first time I logged in it showed me that I had hundreds of followers because I had linked my TikTok account before the TikTok ban and before this app went live. That was supposed to help this app “replace TikTok” when we all thought it was going to disappear. After a few minutes on the Tome app however, all of my followers disappeared. Now I only have 2. I emailed them but no response yet. Their help desk takes you to a chat group that is the online equivalent of everyone screaming into a void. This app could have potential, but right now, it’s a dud.
I can’t even get past the login page?

This app has been advertised in groups on fb and TikTok’s for weeks. excitement was underway. I preordered it and everything anticipating a good book app for my book loving self, and I’m unable to even create an account? My phone number and email both were submitted numerous times and after “success” was shown I get a pop up saying they were unable to log me in, that I needed to contact support. So I deleted the app, redownloaded it MULTIPLE times, just to have the same thing pop up AFTER I verified both my number and email. Disappointed to say the least.
Promising but for now it needs improvements

The app is so promising and it seems so fun. But it needs a lot of work.
1. Creating an account is a hassle
While it has a friendly interface, it’s nearly impossible to create an account at the first try. I was able to create one after my 11th try which is not ideal.
2. You can customize your profile!! Not really
The customizing tools are bugged. You can set up a background, but as soon as you close the app it’s gone. You can’t even set up your bio.
3. The app is glitching
I get it’s a new app, it launched an hour ago (congrats!) so glitches are expected. I wanted to point out that the TL is not functional. You can’t see who you follow or who’s following you. You get a new badge/achievement and the next minute it’s gone.
I have high hopes and expectations for this app. I’ll update this review eventually. Again, congrats on the launching 💖
