Very frustrating I had high hopes of getting into using TheRandomGolfClub. Once I got to start making a profile I sadly discovered the closest “local” area to me was over 2 hours away and no matter how many times I try it says I can’t create an account but when I try again with that email it’s apparently taken already by a different account…
You get a free 30 day trial of the Pro membership to be a guinea pig for a buggy and unfinished app. Can’t see member listing, can’t add home courses, can’t see info about my membership trial/account besides an indication of “PRO” next to my profile, RGC chapter is blank even though I selected one. Respectfully, thank you so much for another useless app.
Don’t bother downloading TheRandomGolfClub. I tried multiple times to sign up, even after emailing with their support team and the owner of the development company. I still can’t get signed up. I’ve moved on at this point. I can’t imagine what a nightmare it would be to use TheRandomGolfClub at this point.
The new app is pretty terrible. All the good social aspects of the old app are now gone. I can’t see using TheRandomGolfClub for anything. It’s a shame because RGC is all about community and social interaction and now TheRandomGolfClub has removed the open chat and discord like atmosphere.
I’ve been looking for a place to find golfers to talk to, play with and compete against and I love how TheRandomGolfClub helps facilitate my doing that!
I can join a local RGC chapter, communicate with passionate golfers like me, set up rounds with people I’d like to meet and play in their King of the Hill-style Ladder competition.
I don’t belong to a private club, but this makes me feel like I’m really a part of one of the coolest communities in golf.
Makes it easy to connect with people in my area and all over, which is why I came to RGC in the first place. Keep it up!

RGC is not an app, it’s a community of random golfers coming together to across all lines and borders. It’s a warm, friendly place to share your experiences, celebrate your achievements and commiserate your struggles. An opportunity to meet new friends and golf partners for those of us who play the random public courses in our area through local chapters.
TheRandomGolfClub is an evolution and is still evolving. New features are being added regularly to further shape it to the community’s needs. It may not be everything we all could want in the moment or have come to expect from the previous iteration, but it is the clay from which that app will be formed.
In the meantime, the community is here. Come join us. Like anything else worth being part of, you get out what you put in.
I’m not sure what the other reviewers are smoking but the new app looks great and makes way more sense than the old one. Appreciate the developers working to make a great golfing community.
TheRandomGolfClub needs way more users and activity for it to make sense. Majority of chapters are dead. But I’ll stay on it and see if I can find more activity because I love the concept.
I also did like TheRandomGolfClub forces you to sign up for a pro membership even though it says it won’t auto-renew.
