Neither LORE nor the publishers exist online. They do not run adds but instead post every song you listen to, post every tiktok you like, and basically share your entire online profile. It’s creepy, and I think they are likely stealing the data of every person that uses LORE to make money.
App takes forever to get started as well as making you reach out to other people not on LORE to be able to join. The UI is hard to use and limits swipes as well as users having minimal control over what’s shared.
homie is super cool, a couple friends started using it recently so i decided to check it out. I wish they didnt update LORE so much, and it's a little buggy sometimes but overall it's super worth it bc i really like seeing what my friends ar eup to so i can bug them haha
I usually don’t leave reviews on apps but I’ve genuinely enjoyed my experience using Homie so far. I’ve gotten tired of flipping through different platforms with different content. Homie unifies everything for me in one place and has made it much more enjoyable. I also love being able to see what my friends are doing and have already had multiple conversations because of LORE !
My friends and don’t really text each other random thoughts. Especially after college. Just seeing the content everyone has consuming has led to so much more conversation!!
Homie came to my fraternity chapter meeting, brought us food and showed us how LORE can help us stay connected with my friends. I usually just use life 360/find my/snapmaps but now my friend group also uses homie! Super cool to see what my friends are listening to / watching
Using homie feels like one giant group chat with all of my friends, I’ve been waiting for an app like this
Homie is all of the content that I actually want to see. No more doom scrolling. I love LORE.
Really cool idea fun to see what my friends are looking at.
The vision is clear
Homie has been an awesome tool to keep me connected with the people I care about by showing me where our content overlaps— I had no idea certain friends of mine watched the same shows as me or followed the same YouTube channels, and thanks to Homie, all of that information is quickly and neatly consolidated in one place.
One thing I really appreciate about LORE is the fact that I am fully in control of what I share (I can toggle certain app data like Netflix or YouTube on or off) and who I share it with. I never feel like my privacy is being infringed upon because I know I’m the one in charge of my information and where it goes. The data opt-in process is seamless and easy to navigate.
It’s actually surprising an app like this has never existed before, but I’m certainly glad it does now! Looking forward to getting some of my friends on in the future.
homie is the only social app that doesn’t leave me with a sour taste in my mouth. love just getting to see what my friends and I have in common.
