Great idea - and the mobile app works OK - but the macOS version is completely unusable.

Im out $30 in VisualMind never worked for me even one time. I don’t think these developers parents were married when they were born. That’s certainly the way they comport themselves.

Maybe they can buy an AI app for how to fix their app. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is a piece of junk. You cannot edit the mind maps, cannot export them. Cannot create them. They are only one level deep

VisualMind works ok on a mobile device but it is worthless because you can’t transfer the results to anything else. Don’t waste your money on it ! My mistake !

I thought I could expand nodes further to keep learning. I can’t believe I just payed 30 bucks to get a visual representation of what chat gpt 4 already does for free. The commercial is misleading makes you think the image can be continually used to expand and learn?

what were you thinking? VisualMind makes zero sense, sorry! why would I want a mindmap I can’t edit and can only generate generic maps that has nothing to do with whatever I wanted to map out…

Being a visual person, I was quick to download. The pay wall is upfront so I paid and excitedly attempted my first map… nothing…. Then the timeout while it failed to generate. Then another attempt, and another. All with no actual map created. It’s only been 30 mins since download and they e asked me to rate… not good.

Like several others who have posted reviews, I found the paid version of VisualMind to be incomplete, with little more than cursory information, and no ability to edit or add.

I'm surprised it's even available through the Apple Store.

At this time, it's not worth spending any money on.

The “stock market” section is essentially worthless. I can find that information on the first page of Google. If you are looking for any specific insights week by week, this isn’t for you.

Sorry! But I’m just trying to give it a try and it wants me to pay. The website says you have to pay for the Pro, but there’s no other option in realty. Perplexity is excellent and free. It’s not a mind map, but the point is it’s completely free and one day they will probably change that, but they are smart to build a following knowing if the quality remains people won’t be upset it they have to subscribe. With VisualMind, one can’t test it out, so why would a person subscribe when they don’t know if it’s worth it?

After going through 20 registration question they ask for $ and if you X and try to create a map they display this message “we are a little busy right now” and won’t generate, but they don’t mind ask for money again and again. Not worth a waste of your time. Don’t download.

Premature to write this but I kinda like the concept but after 10 minutes of playing the system is busy doesn’t give responses didn’t seem to save the map to retrieve easily automatically. I really like the concept I really want to like VisualMind but seems sophomoric at this point.

Now, I’m really frustrated. I’ve only got one map to work and there’s no pathway to cancel. I know it’s said 14 day trial. I’m changing this to one star.

As noted in other reviews there’s no way to store export otherwise meaning for utilise the mind maps. Even when you export it only exports a small portion as an image… I don’t know, seems like it’s on the right start but woefully incomplete.

I paid $35 to use VisualMind, and from the first moment the only thing that works is their preset questions and maps. Anytime you ask a question of you own or try to create a map you get a error message saying their servers are too busy. That’s a pretty trash thing to do on a no refund contract…🤨

Does not mind map YouTube videos despite promise. Waste of money.

You also can’t take these mind maps and import them into other mind map programs or into Facebook or any other place except for AI. It’s junk.

Mapping topical text but no real how to links, tutorials. Takes narrative and places in pictorial form. Less than I thought it provided. Maybe further use will produce more useful material.

Just downloaded it a little while ago and have gotten ZERO RESULTS! I have not seen even one map! It just spins. I want my money back!

It’s been a few days now and every time I attempt to put in something different than what they have available it crashes (a message pops up saying they are overloaded) - has potential.. but very limiting with my experience thus far. Irritated that I spent money on this

I spent a lot of time creating a mind map. Went to another app briefly (settings to give it access to photos) and all my work was gone. It had some basic stuff I had done but not the complicated mind map. What a waste of time that was.

It correctly develops a mind map of topics within its training set. It does not allow for PDF or image upload to create mind maps from user-owned sources. The editing feature is good for moving things around, but you cannot add nodes or change node dependencies. It we’ll create a mind map of max 3 levels deep, but it cannot add additional details beyond that third level. The relatively slow (guessing 10 tokens/sec) access to GPT-4o allows you to get further insights on the topic, but these interactions cannot change/modify the created mind map.

I just downloaded VisualMind . The idea is brilliant, but it's very limited. I can't expand the answers. I can only ask one question at the time. Different than chatGPT that I can keep asking things, VisualMind only allowed me to ask ONE question at the time, and it doesn't let me expand the questions.

I am cancelling my subscription until VisualMind improves a bit.

It only goes one level deep. I want to make endlessly deep charts. They only go 1 layer though. Worthless.

The mind map is effective, but I don’t know that I can trust the answers z. Show me source links to data provided.

I really like the fact that you can incorporate ai into mind mapping. This has the potential to be really helpful, but currently its lack of functionality in actually being able to edit the mind map is taking away so many points. Mind map is so much more useful when you can add your own thought and interact with it instead of only staring at it.

The AI does everything. I want to have my own brainstorming. Very disappointing.

Pretty cool but need some updates maybe will buy premium in future

Well, I’m trying to make a history of mythology. I’m finding myself really enjoying that it’s easy to create the mind map of what I need and where it should go, but also, I can’t make any edits and adjustments. It would be really cool for it to have that feature, where if I need to add a branch or if I need to add a branch or change some text or anything it would be beyond useful and helpful. Also your subscription literally doesn’t tell you what it offers. I can’t find anywhere where it gives me a solid description of what I would be paying for if I chose the upgrade version. Just food for thought.

The mind maps are pretty powerful, but the only way to export them via VisualMind and share them creates a screenshot, which either gets cut off or is unusable because it’s so small. The ability to export the entire mind map to a jpg, miro, figma etc would make VisualMind immediately worth paying for.

This is the most useful tool I’ve found for mind-mapping but we need to be able to at a minimum print a whole enlarged map and be able to export into an outline. Ability to import into other programs would be amazing.

Had no faith or expectations. VisualMind is really cool. Puts life into perspective to me and I’ve only been on it for 15 minutes.

I have been drawing circles and lines all my life, and finally the answer to my note. Prayers. I can finally see clearly and I don’t feel like a freak. Thank you.

Played with prompts for a while. I enjoy using ChatGPT, but there is something special about seeing something in a visual format. This reminds me of the ChatGPT feature mixed with Canva. Definitely worth playing with!
