Sorry, 1 star for crashing on startup.

Unable to open app

Can’t even get Spoony to open to try it out

Can’t open it

The 1st day started off great, it was wonderful seeing everyone finally being able to interact after months of being told “it’s almost out” when it wasn’t. It lasted that 1 day. Next day go to open. Doesn’t open. Refreshed, updated my phone even. Nothing. Waited a day, this morning. Same issue. I’m beginning to understand why so many people are frustrated with Spoony that’s suppose to connect us all chronically ill individuals. But is making that impossible to do. There’s already a Facebook group to everyone affected focusing on just ditching Spoony overall.

Communication app where you can’t communicate without being censored like a child???

I’ve been on Spoony for less than 24 hours, and I have found more than a handful of issues. Spoony was really hyped up on a lot of different other apps, and I was really hoping for better. Hoping they get fixed because now it feels like a waste of my time😐👎

Waiting

I’ve been excited about this for what feels like forever now but sadly I’ll have to wait longer. I was under the impression that Spoony was 17+ based on what ads I’ve seen as well as the Apple Store saying this and I was so excited to have something finally but after going to create my account I was sadly hit with the reality that I needed to wait even longer. It said for now* 18+. I would really appreciate something sooner I understand the need for safety situations but I guess I’m just bummed out and by the time they fix this I might already be 18 but who knows I guess I’ll have to eagerly wait for a while longer.

Just joined

So far looks neat.

But it doesn’t have my city and state for location. O_0

Add username search, please!!

Would give this 5 stars if they had username search. I want my friends to be able to find me on Spoony by sharing my username. It seems like an obvious feature they left out.

Other than that, I love the idea of a safe space to talk about my daily health battles.

Its great

It reminds me of facebook and twitter but without the hate.

Great Concept

I love the concept of Spoony, and I'm excited to see where it goes! Unfortunately, I cannot open Spoony at this time, so I'll be waiting for an update to fix this before I can use it again. 🥲

i like the app but

it doesn’t fit my phone? i can’t edit my profile because it’s zoomed in weird and i can’t see the edit button

Spoony

Hi I love Spoony and have really enjoyed making friends on here. With the iOS 18 update though it crashes as soon as I try to open it.

must have for neurodivergent and disabled pals!

so far i am loving Spoony! i’ve been waiting months now in anticipation for its launch! it’s so nice to have a safe space to share interests with others who have similar life experiences as myself..! i’m looking forward to enjoying Spoony as the community grows!

So excited to have a platform for ppl like me!

I heard about the upcoming launch of this app through an online friend I made in discord. I was curious so I decided to check out the website and after reading about it I joined the wait list. When it launched I was so excited to set up my profile. It was pretty easy once I figured out everything and I was amazed with all the ways you can customize your profile. From profile pictures, and pronouns, to diagnosis and things you like! I can’t wait to see what Spoony has in store as far as updates and maybe make new friends. It’s so refreshing to see a place where people like me can connect and get to know each other. As far as bugs:…I haven’t found any yet however….when I go to try and change my profile banner it won’t save. But otherwise it’s a great app with amazing potential. I also love the easy to navigate layout and Aesthetic of it 🥰

Struggling to find friends

Cool app just having trouble finding friends.

5 stars from me! 🤗

Spoony has exceeded my expectations! It's a fantastic platform that brings together neurodivergent individuals, allowing us to connect and support each other. I wholeheartedly give Spoony a 5-star rating. While Spoony is impressive, there are slight delays in the chat and other features, which can be attributed to its recent launch. However, the promise of future updates is encouraging. The community within Spoony is incredibly kind and supportive, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the absence of negativity. It's safe to say that Spoony has fostered a genuinely friendly and supportive environment. If you're seeking a welcoming and supportive community, this app is the perfect fit for you! 😊

I love the idea of this app but still needs some fixes

I currently can’t get my cover photo to load. It keeps going back to the default photos. Also when I react on a post I have to usually click it twice so it doesn’t disappear.

Love it so far!

It’s a newer app so of course there’s going to be some issues up top that need to be worked out. So far I love the community found on Spoony ! I’ve met some really awesome individuals and even made some friends that I’ve connected with over additional platforms! I’m sure once the kinks are worked out it’ll be fabulous!

Everything is great so far

Given Spoony is extremely new it’s blown our of the water on how much I enjoy it. The UI is amazing and the connections are even better. All I want is to see the exact number of my posts instead of the max 20. Even though there’s clearly more than 20 posted. I can’t wait to see how the find a friend thing is going to work!

Life changing for the chronically ill

I have been waiting for an app like this for years! This has been such an amazing community, everyone is here for each other and offers support, kindness, advice, or just something to make everyone laugh! There is so much people don’t know about the chronically ill community, and so this is the perfect environment for people who don’t feel heard to have a space. Thank you this app for helping me make friends again after losing all of mine after I got sick.

Unfortunate update

This was released on the day of the big iOS update that’s why if you updated the iOS it won’t open, hopefully they’ll fix the issue soon but I like Spoony
