I have reviewed this game before and I decided to check up on it again after not playing for a while hoping there were some bug fixes. Last time I mentioned how there’s a bug where my screen does not respond to any inputs I try on the main menu, leaving the game unplayable. To my surprise this bug still hasn’t been fixed and I can’t play the game at all. At this point I’ve redownloaded the old beyblade burst game because that one actually works. Don’t waste your time on this game, stop coping by saying it’s not that bad, and I send my prayers to the psychopaths that still try defending this game.

The game is fun, don’t get me wrong. But the power core system is broken. When at level 1 in an all attack or defense power core there is one bar, lvl 2, two bars, 3, three bars etc. at lvl five however, is becomes one big bar that fills the whole side (atk or def). When you reach level 6 it goes back to 1 bar and gives you the ability to tier it up. However, this breaks the game so that if you reset it without tiering it up (which takes resources you may not have) it resets it to level one because they look the same. (Lvl 7 becomes lvl 2) and at lvl eight it’s supposed to turn the two bars into a half bar (half the atk or def side) but it also sees it as lvl three, so it tries to make it both three small bars and one half bar at the same time and softlocks the game. What’s worse is there is no way to stop it so you just end up stuck repeatedly leveling up the power cores until you can successfully tier one up.
Edit: it’s so much worse. I got tier three power cores to levels 5 and 6 and when the game restarted they became tier two level 1. This is insanity. Fix this or the game is genuinely unplayable.

Game is fine for what it is but, the true stinker is the lack of a point exchange for prize blades like what’s offered in Japan. Not being able to obtain prize blades is such a stingy bummer on Hasbros part. Outside that, an unappealing distraction, the part statistics can be useful sometimes.

Also, collaboration blades don’t show up in the app which is also pretty disappointing, guess it woulda have been to expensive for Hasbro. They could at least keep the same weight on their exclusive blade variants. Takara Tomy keeps winning I guess.

I’d give this app 2.5/5 stars if I could, so 2 it is.
