It deleted my habits twice. I uninstalled and downloaded again to fix it and it still deleted my habits after a month or two. You can't even edit the name of a habit after you create it. You can't mute the sound it makes when you complete a habit. I have the sounds off and it still plays a sound through my headphones and I go to change the sound to something less annoying and even with a new sound selected it still plays the same old annoying sound.
You get what you pay for.
I'm done with HabitTracker.
Im using ‘check me’ to task my daily tasks on a widget. Having to open an app everytime is not a good experience and i often forget a task if i don’t see on the home screen. I don’t use HabitTracker right now, but it has the potential to get me switch from check me. I will wait for sometime for the widget to arrive
It’s a lovely, easy-to-use design, and I appreciate that it is free. However, the date in the calendar view is ahead by at least one day (e.g. Sunday September 1 appears as Tuesday September 1). This also results in habits not showing on a particular day and having to add them after the date has passed. I contacted the dev twice but got no response.
I like the idea behind HabitTracker being available for free which is nice. But HabitTracker needs more features that other trackers have such as the ability to get rewards in HabitTracker as you progress through your goals. Next is the lack of habit editing after you set a habit you can’t edit it. I would recommend the developer of HabitTracker look at other major habit tracker apps and copy some of their features. That will make HabitTracker more productive!
The day of the week and the date are misaligned so it makes that actual habit tracking and streaks are not correct and always off by a day or two. For example today the date is Friday Jan 31. But in HabitTracker it shows it’s Saturday Jan 31. So in HabitTracker the streak shows 55 days in a row when it reality it should be 56 days.
Other than that it’s a simple, free app to use with a simple layout and design. I came over from Strides which was great, but felt the cost of the yearly fee was too high for the purpose of tracking multiple habit’s.
I just started using HabitTracker. I love that it’s free and it’s basic enough for what I need. It’s VERY basic, so if you’re looking for more options in an app, it’s not for you. I just wish I could edit the habits I already entered and/or had more scheduling options (end date, weekly changes, etc) sometimes my schedule requires me to modify a habit so those options would be helpful.
HabitTracker has been good so far. The one thing I wish I could change is on frequency of the habit, being able to just choose 2x/ week without having to select specific days. Otherwise HabitTracker has been great.
I really enjoy this it’s totally free and really easy to use I love it use it everyday!!! Definitely worth it! It was so annoying with the other planners because they would always cost money or something .. but this one is free and I just love it and you should get it!!!
Good app. Free no subscription needed. You can set habits and their reminders. No annoying ads or subscription request. Highly recommend
Love HabitTracker! I downloaded a lot of app like this, but this one was the best. I like the design and everything is easy to make and control. Sounds are also good as a reminder. Reccomend!
Gets five stars for being simple, beautiful, but mostly because it’s free!! I would love to see a feature where we can share habits with people for accountability.
Love HabitTracker . Please keep up the good work! Here are some of the suggestions I have after using it for a few weeks:
1. It would be great to be able to add habits that are not tied to certain days of a week. For example, I might want to practice golf 3 times a week but it doesn’t matter on which days I do. Currently you must select certain days during a week.
2. For some reason I am not able to see the next year (2025) since the page flipping arrow is greyed out. And the last day of 2024 is also greyed out.
I am so glad that this developer made a free habit tracker so that people can have an accessible tool for self help. It is great and comparable to many of the other paid habits trackers and has all the features I am looking for. Great interface and software is great!
This is the only habit tracker i’ve tried (and i’ve tried quite a few) where you can actually track a decent amount of habits without having to upgrade. So long as I can track my 5-6 habits for free, I’m using HabitTracker.
This really is a great app, especially considering it’s free. I like the colors and simplicity. The only things I could think to add are some widgets, maybe small/medium/large, to display your habits on your homescreen, and maybe a dark mode would be nice. Otherwise great app, looking forward to improvements in the future!
Edit: I’d also like the option to not receive notifications for a habit once I’ve marked it complete.
This is a very straight forward app. I love the no bells and whistles. It lets you track and look back at progress. My only critique is that I wish there was an option to add an end date. Some habits I like to track only over a certain amount of time. Outside of that, this is a great app.
As someone who has had to pay a weekly subscription fee for a goal tracking app similar to this, it’s very refreshing to see that HabitTracker has not gone the way of capitalism and sold out. I will continue to use HabitTracker as long as it doesn’t try to mark up the price from free.
HabitTracker is super easy and has a clean look. One suggestion would be to add health status buttons. For instance, I did all my habits today and felt 5 out of 5 stars. Then I can look back and see how many days I felt 5, or 4, or even 1. That helps me see if the habits are getting results for my experience of life. For me, I am tracking how my habits affect my chronic condition.
HabitTracker is easy to use. The only thing I would add is the option to choose every other day when setting up a new habit to track. During the first few days I needed the notification to remind me to do the task. Now I know the notification is coming and sometimes do the task before the notification is sent. It’s been less than a week and I see a change forming.
I have gone through a couple apps and they all made me pay for more than 3 habits. HabitTracker is amazing and they allow you to add as many habits as you’d like and it allows you to customize what days you want to do certain habits. Truly love it!!!!
