In one of the few routes you get st4bbed. It felt random as before that I was supposed to attend my trial. In the Castle story, they’re pretty explicit in telling you that you had an affair. Yes I know Kafka’s work is supposed to be mature but because this game was rated 9+ I didn’t expect the mvrders to be described so vividly, perhaps 17+ would be better. I do like the aesthetics of the game, and I generally enjoy broody and dark atmospheres. Although, when you move the maid around in the first act, I felt uncomfortable because specific parts kept jiggling. In the end, I still think it’s a gem because of the puzzles and atmosphere. Cover art was pretty awesome. I love the voice acting as it feels professional.

I’m currently in my first year of high school and have been getting into more classic literature. Lately, I found out about Franz Kafka and I really love his short but meaningful short stories. I was reading a brief article about PlayingKafka and rushed to download it!! Safe to say the design of the game is intricate but easy on the eyes with its simplicity, the narration has good audio quality and tone and the gameplay itself is a good mix of sticking to the original material and being unique (you usually do a few riddles or move stuff around, interact with characters and make decisions that impact the rest of the story). Overall, it’s great app that I would recommend downloading and great job to the developers! :-)

I have read bits of Kafka’s works before, that’s why I was intrigued by this video game. As expected, I was not disappointed at all. I just think that it would be much more impactful if you’re already aware of the plot of the three stories (the trial, letters to my father, and the castle) bcs if you’re not, you’re going to be a bit lost in the game. Even if you didn’t read those yet, this game does an amazing job making you to WANT to read those after.

I like the narrative voices, interactive options, as the animations. A solid 5 stars game would definitely come back to play this again after a while and check out other games by the developers.

This game is absolutely incredible, and so are the other games by the developers. It’s shocking how little attention and respect this gets, and I feel sorry that the developers are not getting as much recognition and praise as they deserve.

Everything about this game was perfect—it was immersive, fun, extremely creative, had a perfect atmosphere, and so much more. I really hope more people play this as well as Beecarbonize and the other games. Charles Games, if you are reading this, thank you so much for your incredible dedication and work, and I am happy that you are funded by the European Union. I appreciate this game, your work, Franz Kafka, and I wish you the best of luck.

I enjoyed the games, they are short but entertaining. The only question is why does it say that i played 5 of 8? Am i missing something in the 3rd part, where i cant get rid of the scoundrels ?.
