So… I wanted to like the game. In fact.. I kinda do. I might had actually stuck around with it. I got a Myth hero and all within a couple hours of playing.
So… why am I rating it low? I can’t rate zero but I would have given it a plus one star anyways for being fun. Now let’s get to the point. There’s an unforgivable act in this game.
Pay. To. Win. You can buy a skin with real money that gives boosted stats. There is PvP as there always is in these games. Thus there is P2W. I’m out.

While the graphics and art is great, the mechanics and system this game is built on is disingenuous and greedy. The developer will constantly talk about community and the fun you’re having but being based on gacha and chance, the drop rates on any useful characters are abysmal and you’ll only see anything good by spending. As a F2P player, you can play for months and never get a single mythical hero. Spending $10-30 you will find yourself in the same boat. These developers want you to spend hundreds just for the guarantee of getting anything useful and relevant to being useful in the different modes of “gameplay.” Don’t bother and please spend your money wisely.

I deleted because most of the good characters are hypersexualized female characters. If you want that kind of thing, then the game is for you. It isn’t for me even though I like gacha, character collection, and team building games. The game isn’t for me and that’s ok. But I wanted to warn anyone else in case you don’t like that, or you want to play a game where others can see your phone and don’t want this on your screen for others to see. You literally cannot make a team or play this game without constant hypersexualized, misogynist art on your screen a lot.

Before you download for the 4000 something summons- You will have to log in for over 300 days to get them all. You do not get them immediately.
This game has super nice pixel art, which makes it a shame that they use AI for everything else- and I mean EVERYTHING ELSE. Even the characters are AI- some are just edited to keep things consistent with the pixel art, but even then there are inconsistencies if you look for two seconds. Say what you want about AI, it's just lazy, clearly shows how much the devs care for making a good game if they don't even want to pay artists to make the assets.
ALSO, there are stolen assets from Genshin. In the team formation, when you have 4 of one element and 2 of the other, the symbol in the top left corner that lists the bonuses is CLEARLY the Hydro Element symbol from Genshin Impact. I haven't noticed anything else stolen yet (either because it might be from a game I havent played or something else) but like a pest: if you find one, there are bound to be more

Pretty bad UI. The 777 draws is a lie(you get 190 draws and they only let you keep one draw of 10 out of the lot). Overall just a bad game. Will be deleting after this post.

Just download Pixel Heroes. Titles says it all. This game is a strictly worse clone of Pixel Heroes. Reused characters, same marketplace prices AND cadences, tutorial walkthrough identical, SAME MINIGAMES?

Would be disappointed in the greed, but hope this is the same company. If not I guess a lawsuit is coming lol. Either way, I’d rather just go with the original over the blatant copy.

Also, PixelOverlord uses data to track you. Just a heads up. 🇺🇸

This is like a Beta version game that is released too early and going through many updates, bugs and changes that will screw over players who paid money in this game. They wait on you to report the problems seeing that you are the beta tester as well as their paying customers.

The game has terrible pull rates and it seems like a lot of the pvp they put in is AI because you can be top 20 and then in an hour you’ll be top 100 randomly.

Game really was promising the first months where it is was giving great F2P energy and the obvious pay to advance faster option. But with each update the game progressively keeps taking away from the player who chose play for free and for the players who want to pay to advance any faster it’s going to cost you a kidney and a months salary to really get that upper hand. They take away features from the player and the discord for their support is even worse. They don’t listen to their community and they don’t help their players. I’m a very early adopt and there is hardly anyone active in the servers. I absolutely want a refund for all in game purchases I’ve made since the game is no where how it used to be. I RECOMMEND TO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. This game feels like a scam more than entertainment or a good time. Apple you should honestly investigate this apps practices. Thank you.

I’m a VIP 11 and I believe this game should be investigated for their fake rates on their gatcha banners.

I’ve spent a lot of money on this game and have never pulled the featured banner pitying it 3 times.

You need 20 copies to max out a level. Says a lot about the greed of this game.

Stay away.

This game is kind of a mess from the start. An ugly and janky ui makes it hard to focus on whats going on. The anime art is of questionable quality, some art has ugly pixel looking lines making it seem like the images were stretched or something. The english in the game also isnt very good, making it hard to care about what anyone is talking about. The only alright thing ive seen is the pixel art and the combat. The combat actually seems like it could be interesting for an auto battler. The pixel art is actually decent. All in all I would probably skip.

Myths are the hero grades you want but sadly the rates are just so bad. Like not even light and dark units. Normal faction myth units are mostly only obtainable through shops and events. Pulls are almost as hard as you summon a light or dark unit pull rates which is at about 0.01%.

Like come on you can’t even make normal players enjoy the game since these myth heroes are almost nonexistent without you hitting a paywall. And my lord I play a month into the game gets about 1.5m power but someone in new server 3 days already 2.1m power. And then a week later he’s at 9.5m and I am at 2.13m. How much can you pay to win. There’s literally nothing a F2P player could do to catch up. And the rates that whales Quitting are also nuts. 😱😱

Starting off the game feels a little clunky, the UI is alright but definitely needs a huge improvement, the game is very generous with summons but feels like you get many starter dupes, wish player were able to build VIP a little slowly but it’s a slip n slide with what you get as you do get 20 free summons a day. I been playing for 2 days but the events feel all over the place a little hard to navigate unless you take some time to dig in, overall not bad but definitely needs a whole redesign for the UI. Wishing to see it become better over time!

They should think of making this game turn based so it’s more strategic with the heroes skills and they should try doing collabs later on. When making a characters skill choosable you are open to mistakes and also succes because you never know what your opponent may choose. Only time the turns should be taken off is when you’re fighting PvP but you should still be able to choose your skills and not your opponent letting a bot choose for them would be better since i believe that you can make the bots smart enough and certain times when skills should be used. Also about the collabs anime catches a lot of peoples attention and especially if you start off with a smaller anime and move on to bigger ones like Bleach, One piece, etc. the collabs should also only be held once in a while but yeah the most important thing that I think would be nice is choosable skills.

I’ve only played for about a few days now and my god is this game cute and funny, kinda wired story line that is kinda fun to follow, but the animations and the skills of hero’s, amazing!! It’s fun watching your hero’s walk and run around. Rewards are easy and I’m never chasing a certain reward without just getting it. 10/10 from EVE!
