Another Ad Farm

TLDR: Many ads at every interaction point.
Unfortunately this game falls short of expectations to be a fun little game with good player engagement. It is an ad farm where the players are cattle like many of the F2P games on PixelDemolish Store. This one has an unskippable advert available every time you get an upgrade if you want to gain a second upgrade. Even when you do not want a second upgrade it may give you an ad (70/30 chance) which is luckily skippable or a picture ad you need to close out of. However, you gain upgrades so often it becomes annoying. Past level 2 players begin having random prompts to upgrade by watching an ad, calling them “free upgrades”. Many of these games do this despite the upgrade not being free, since I need to watch a 30+ second unskippable ad to gain the upgrade. Anyways, basically they want you to not farm their advert click rate and watch rate and there is probably going to be some over-expensive pay to remove adverts IAP that eventually comes out soon. Avoid the game.

Personal Vendetta

I was enjoying this game, and of course I went into airplane mode to be able to play it at all- however, I wondered. What happens if I buy the ad-removal? Will it just cancel out the predatory random chance ads? or will I be able to actually get the “free upgrades” that force you into an unskippable ad? The answer is simple: don’t download this game, because these developers are sharks. It only removes the random chance ads, which I could just turn on airplane mode for; you don’t get the free extra upgrades that occur every midway point on the coin bar or an extra upgrade at every full bar. It continues to force you to watch ads, which is a bummer because I genuinely like the concept of this game and the potential something like this has, especially since it’s kept me busy the past 4 hours. I refuse to download any more games from this developer after this, who promised no ads with this purchase but still push it onto you.

I hate the new ads.

I had downloaded and played this game before this most recent change. I really enjoyed what the game used to be, even if it had grown a little stale. However, this new change has made me uninstall the game. I don’t mind watching an ad to get extra stuff, but I hate these predatory ads that don’t end when they should end. They kind of ads where basically you have to close it out twice, and even then it still takes you to the store to download it. What’s worse, are the mid-level ads you have no choice but to watch. If you’re going to have this many ads, at least give us an option to pay to not watch them. This was a horrible decision on y’all’s part. smh

Could be a satisfying game

The game is satisfying, even as a mindless time waster. Those games can be soothing and enjoyable when you want a break.

But you’ll be watching ads, closing ads, closing PixelDemolish because you were forced an ad, hitting “no thanks”, getting an ad anyway, being asked to watch an ad…

On one level, gameplay was stopped literally every 1.2 seconds. It was to offer a power up or a “free” power up (you have to watch an ad for the “free” power up).

People review apps usually because they’re really happy or really annoyed. This game was nice to escape for a spell, but it just absolutely became unplayable.

I understand they need ads to make money. It’s the stopping gameplay every 1.2 seconds to let me know I need a power up or can watch an ad. I’m good. Best of luck in future iterations.

Super addicting, but needs a lot more variation

I love this game, I sat and watched for longer than I care to admit. However, the level design and pixel block variety is really restricted. There are really only a few level types, most restricting you to one tower type. More variety in towers and pixel blocks, and some more asymmetrical and variates level designs are definitely needed

MAKE LEVELS ENDLESS

This game would be a million times more fun if you extended the length of the map, added more points for traps or whatever you call them and get rid of the individual levels, there’s no reason to have levels it just breaks up gameplay and makes you start over! Also please remove the ads that randomly interrupt, the rest are fine

Shooter is the kid no one loves

I love this game so far, it’s genuinely fun and so is the concept. However I feel that it is lacking in some regards. The shooter is absolutely the worst upgrade and I wish I could undo an upgrade because I accidentally bought one. A rework would be great, or a confirmation when upgrading.

A fun game, but…

Pixel Demolish is really a fun game. With that being said, it is a bit annoying when the game keeps offering upgrades for weapons I don’t have setup, and it doesn’t offer updates for what I have installed. This happens beyond level 30.

Otherwise, this is a fun game.

Too many ads

There are to many ads so many I feel like I’m playing a game that you have to watch ads like I got 23 ads on level 4 please make a no ads purchase because there to many ads I cant have any fun or even play the game anymore it is very fun but I cant feel it just pure ads but fun and I cant stop playing still to many ads though please make an ads free purchase

By

Too many ads

Do you like getting an ad shoved on your face every 30 seconds? If you do this is the game for you! Did you pay for no ads? Guess what? The developer is a lying piece of garbage and you still get “free upgrades” if you watch this add shoved on your face every 30 seconds. For what should be a very zen game they are doing their very best to ruin it!

By

Satisfying🤤🤤

I love the blocks just fall plus you get to tap on them money all the time!🤤🤤

By

Very fun

Very well made game buts it’s like they just gave up halfway through and the levels are way to short to actually enjoy. I would love to play but got bored very fast. Please change!

By

Ads ruin it - needs a no ads IAP

Great potential to be a mesmerizing fun game. First, the ads. There’s no way to buy no ads either for the popups or the rewards. Totally ruins it for me. It would also be nicer if the levels were longer or if it were more like an idle game with super long levels and prestiges.

By

Paid to remove ads, but still have them!

You’re constantly spammed with ads, in order to choose additional upgrades. I got a chance to remove them by paying 3$, but they still happen. That’s fraud.

By

Best game

This game is such a relaxing game I love is so much

By

The ads are horrible

Gave me the upgrade saw add every 4 seconds. Couldn’t upgrade without watching an ad. I have watched ads in games for free stuff but I’m not watching an ad every time to be able to upgrade. ✌🏼

By

I find this to be highly inappropriate

Made it back up to level 15. While I liked the celebrity photos, I find it highly inappropriate to have one of Queen Elizabeth. She just died and it’s wrong to be placing a photo of her to be destroyed. One star

By

Kills battery life

This is a great game and I have spent more time then I am willing to admit today on it, but it just drains my battery and heats up my phone so badly.

By

To many ads.

Please please please make there a way to pay to remove ads there are currently way to many ads including ones in the middle of the level.

By

Great concept ruined by ads

This game is fun. The active element to the destruction is great and feels satisfying. But being forced into an ad what feels like every 30 seconds just ruins it, and there was no way, i could find, to opt out of ads.

By

great game!!

i love this game and i’ve only been playing it for a week or so. i wanted to share some ideas and opinions about this game to make it better. one thing is the spawn rate of the pixels makes this game a little less fun. its way too fast in the beginning of a level but too slow as it goes on. i know this can be adjusted with power ups, but it might be a better idea to just have the game auto adjust it as you go. one thing i love about this game though is it is so fun to just chill and play with minimal ads! so many games overdo the ads but i’ve found that this one does not. I love this game overall and hope my review gets seen. 😊😊

Developer Disappointment.

I have a love/hate relationship with this company making these games. I LOVE the games that they are developing. They are fun and keep me coming back for more.

I HATE the fact that the constant barrage of ads make me want to either uninstall the game, or avoid any game under the “Rollic Games” moniker.

I understand that your company has to make money, trust me, I do, but the ads are too much. I’ve seen other companies do the same as you in the past (I don’t need to name them because that’s uncalled for) and they ultimately fell short because they just constantly threw ads left and right, and I changed my taste to NOT download anything with said companies name because of the reputation their apps gave me.

I don’t want Rollic to fall to that same fate. Your company is doing all the right things game-wise. Please rethink your games, for the consumer sake. You can limit the ads, or even just allow in app purchases. I know that it would hurt the income, but your reputation as a company would retain so much more credibility as a result. Reputation and consumer satisfaction would help so much in the long run.

I know that this review may fall under the category of hate, but it’s a recommendation from a consumer that more than likely shares the same concern as many others. Success is desired for such a good quality company.

paid for no ads. still full of ads

The game concept is cool, the gameplay is moderately fun although there isn’t a whole Lotta variety. Well, there is a whole lot of is advertisements. There’s a banner across the bottom that never goes away, “free“ offers of upgrades that suddenly appear in the middle of play, and interrupting advertisements that take over the entire screen without warning. Oh, and there’s also the persistent offering of additional upgrades whenever you make an upgrade you’ve earned. Overall, it completely distracts from the game itself, and makes it a chore to play.

so I paid the $2.99 for the version without advertisements, which popped up conveniently in the middle of the screen. Once I finished the first level. As far as I can tell, the only thing that changed is the ads that randomly take over the entire screen. All the other advertising remains in the game and I am quite frankly infuriated.

By

Great game I do recommend

This is a great game to play in your free time. This game is oddly satisfying and if you don’t like all the ads and don’t want to have to spend money on the game you can just turn off your Wi-Fi. By the way I don’t know why people are so mad about the ads. THERE WILL BE ADS IN EVERY GAME YOU PLAY!

Broke after paying for ads free

I got this because it seemed fun—I really liked the idea of it, and decided that I’d treat myself by buying ads free after doing a couple levels. As soon as I bought the ads free, it played an ad upon selecting a power up. So I closed out of PixelDemolish (maybe it didn’t register?) It now won’t load past the purple “rollic “ and “Dalek games” screen. I force closed out again, still no success. Repeat that a couple times. I’m talking five minutes spent on this loading screen. I deleted PixelDemolish and redownloaded it: still no dice. I selected PixelDemolish support button: web page never loaded. So. I guess 1 star review until I get a refund or the game works so I can actually play it. EDIT: well it started up after leaving the review, but I can’t restore my app purchases so there’s ads again.

Fun… but why the ads?

I’m not here to say remove ads altogether. I understand why we need them. Selecting to watch an ad in exchange for a reward? Most mobile games do this, not a problem. Then you get the option to not claim a reward, presumably in exchange for not watching an ad. However this game makes you watch an ad in exchange for nothing if you choose not to watch an ad for a reward. Why watch an ad and get a reward when you can not watch an ad for a reward and just watch an ad. I chose not to watch an ad for a reward, so why am I shown an ad anyway? If I wanted to watch an ad, I would’ve done so to get the reward.

By

Fun, with some minor pointers.

I think the most annoying thing out of, an otherwise, pretty fun game is that I wish the power ups would appear somewhere on the sides or even the bottom since there is empty space.
I just don’t like that it pauses the game unless you select it. I’d rather have the game just keep going and breaking down the pixels and the user be able to choose the power ups as it continues.
The ads aren’t really all the bad and the game is fun enough that I’d actually consider just getting the ad-free version just as a way to support the dev.
It’d be kind of cool if there was a more challenging mode like… maybe have it timed or something. Cause even though this game is meant to be chill, it would be nice to add something a little more when you’re not looking for something chill.

Anyways, it’s definitely a good game and I do enjoy it. Hope to see it continue to improve.

Ads… do yourself a favor

If you really want to keep playing this game, do yourself a favor and either turn on airplane mode, turn off WiFi and then disable cellular for PixelDemolish only, or even better and my preferred method is to use an ad blocking VPN. The amount of ads in this “game” are ridiculous and make the game absolutely unplayable to any average person.

Another thing I find kinda odd is that at the end of each round it says you’re a “winner” or that you “won” despite the game having no failure conditions at all. Each level past 5 or 6 is exactly the same few levels except on a loop.

Find a better game than this.

By

Personally it’s not that bad

Yeah there’s a bit of adds but it’s never really got annoying to me and I like all the choices we can pick from but I have one request the laser base moves too slow it takes forever to move and aim at something when the blocks fall below it I think you should be able to upgrade its speed like you can with most of the other choices.

By

Fun at first…

This game is fun while you are discovering the various towers, but once you have, there are no more surprises. At that point, it is just repetition. If you decide to keep playing into the higher levels, your destruction capability becomes so large that you could just sit back and watch the carnage - only you can’t because the game keeps stopping with upgrade choices and you must pick one to continue: there’s no way to turn it off.

By

Very boring and ADS!!

Compared to their other games, this game just did not hit the mark. It’s very bland and boring and repetitive. The only consistency between these games is the awful and annoying ads. Although I must say this game isn’t as in your face and bombarding you with ads every 10 seconds or every button you press. That’s the only good factor of this boring boring game. Uninstalled after 7 minutes due to these circumstances..

By

Would be 5, but…

2 problems - I paid for No Ads. If I pay actual money for no ads, STOP INTERRUPTING MY GAMEPLAY ASKING IF I WANT TO WATCH AN AS. No, I don’t. Ever. That’s why I paid for no ads. Because I don’t want them.

Additional problem - if I leave PixelDemolish for more than like an hour and come back to it, there’s a banner ad on the bottom of my screen. I have to go to the settings and click the no ad button for the game to remember “oh yeah, he paid for no ads.”

So many games with no sound

Why is there no sound? I’ve seen a lot recently that would be improved with sound. It’s weird

By

Super weird performance issues :(

I had played this game off and on for a while, liked it a lot despite adds. Today when playing it randomly slowed down and I couldn’t turn off my phone or close PixelDemolish . Even when I did turn off my phone, it kept running hot until I could force PixelDemolish to close. Not worth running into issues like that

Fun

Very fun game to play also playable offline too, already at lvl 100+, they need to make it harder or bigger, like combine two to made one or something, same thing over n over start to get bored.
